So Aldi, Whole Foods and Giant Eagle are most common for having a lot of GF options.
As of today - the “search ingredients” part of TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is broken/ not working/ won’t search.

Also- if there was a photo of the actual ingredients list, that would be super helpful as most celiac has other issues/ allergies and would be nice to see all in one place. If you opened it up w that- I think you’d expand your audience!

Aldi has the most items that are “regular” not labeled GF and has half the amount of garbage, ingredients you can’t even pronounce, I would love to see these items in your list. Since one they are healthier already and even cheaper - people w celiac are also spending more - so this dramatically helps!

I have a gluten intolerance and this is super helpful. I especially love the scanning option, I do wish that when I went to Ana item, that when I hit the back button, it didn’t send me all the way to the top of the subsection. Example: when I select “candy and chocolate” then scroll down to and select “CASHEW COOKIE”. When I hit the back button, it sends me all the way back to the top of the “candy and chocolate” section. Also, maybe adding a favorites option so when seeing friends or relatives that are not celiac or gluten intolerant you can send them your favorites list of safe seasonings and sauces and other things that you can eat. Just a thought. This really is a great tool to have

I’m new to GF as I have just been diagnosed with Celiacs. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is very helpful. With only 2 things I can see is needed, which will put it over the top of all the other apps out there. 1). If it had a favorites list that I could add items I painstakingly found and would like to be able to keep as a favorite to assist my family and friends with some things I safely and enjoy eating. 2). When searching from a list and you click on it I can’t go back to the location I was at. The screen goes all the way back to the top of the list - very frustrating.

At 23 years old I was diagnosed with celiac disease and TheGlutenFreeScannerFull was/is so incredibly helpful! My only complaint is that when I first downloaded TheGlutenFreeScannerFull and scanned products it would tell you which ingredients weren't gluten free, which was pivotal in helping me learn what I could and could not eat being newly diagnosed. During one of the updates for TheGlutenFreeScannerFull , they took away that feature and I wish they would bring it back!

I could like TheGlutenFreeScannerFull , but I have to delete it and reinstall it, I have had it about three hours and have had to do it twice, when I scan the whole page is white and you can’t to anything but click the home button and delete TheGlutenFreeScannerFull . Plus I’m charged each time! It’s a great app, if it works,

This is a great app. We have celiac in our household and this can save hours of time in the grocery store which is where I use it most (especially if you’re newly diagnosed). In fact, I scanned an item marked GF and it came up “can contain gluten.” Yikes! But, also a couple of drawbacks:
- I can tap on an item in the History tab, but there is no “back” button; so when when I go back to the History it always goes back to the top of the page instead of where I left off.
- Like others, the same items that are not in the free version are also not in the full version. My husband has the free version and I have the paid version (same type phones also) so we try it on both.
Other than that, I would highly recommend TheGlutenFreeScannerFull.

Cons: the “no internet connection” error message is common and annoying. Everyone I know with TheGlutenFreeScannerFull experiences it. Happens on WiFi and cell signal. The upside of this issue is I have always been able to correct it by just closing and opening TheGlutenFreeScannerFull .
Unless I am missing it there isn’t an easy way to submit items that aren’t in the database for review so they can see what we’re looking at and get it added.
Also not seeing restaurants and fast food gf menu items.

Pluses: very fast and easy to use. Massive database of food items. Varied results gf/may contain/has gluten, trustworthiness, and a lot of suggested gf food to look through like cookies etc.

If you are shopping for gf TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is a must, period.

I think TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is missing a lot of involvement from restaurants, fast food, and tons of the gf products in the database. Many restaurants, pizza places, fast food etc are adding gf or are totally gf. Why aren’t they in TheGlutenFreeScannerFull? I would love to be able to see a list of gf restaurants, bakeries and menu items/options for fast food etc on TheGlutenFreeScannerFull. Their marketing departments should look to participate in TheGlutenFreeScannerFull to make it a one stop shop for gf and get more exposure too.

But again, if you want or need gf, this is the best app for you. We have used it for a long time and scanned many hundreds of items.

My granddaughter has celiac, and I depend on TheGlutenFreeScannerFull. It has been wonderful until this last week. When I try to scan, it comes up with check internet connection and shuts off. It happens in the store and at home with wifi. I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. Then it does it again. Please help me. Thank you! It is working now! TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is a lifesaver!

As a guy with lupus going gluten free after 50 years is tough. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is helping me realize that there are plenty of options to be able to still enjoy eating! I don't have celiac but if I can remove 90 to 95% of my gluten I think it will help my lupus. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is simple and intuitive. Please continue to add to your database.

My grand daughter has to follow a GF diet. She is coming to stay for a week and I am GF ignorant. I downloaded TheGlutenFreeScannerFull this morning and just went to the grocery store. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull worked flawlessly! It simplified the whole shopping experience and I didn’t have to try to line up my bifocals on the list of ingredients. Thanks for making my day better!

I really thought this was going to be so hard with a new diet . But it’s so easy to use TheGlutenFreeScannerFull to find food and ingredients. I was so scared because I was just planning on eating my own head . Not no more . I’m eating good and it’s healthy! Thank you for creating TheGlutenFreeScannerFull. I like my head.

TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is so helpful. My 16 year old son with celiac relies on TheGlutenFreeScannerFull. And if it says “can contain gluten” he won’t eat it, even if the ingredients font list wheat, barley, rye, spelt. With that said, how often is it updated? I saw a GF ice cream list online, your app says “can contain gluten” in many of the items, specifically talking about Blue Bunny Bunny Tracks. But I’m in no way complaining. VERY happy with TheGlutenFreeScannerFull!

TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is super-super helpful for people with gluten-sensitivity or celiac. I've been using it myself for a few months, and even though it doesn't cover every item out there, it can give you some reassurance on most items.

It's been especially great for helping my friends and family find reliable groceries to cook that won't make me sick. Definitely a life-changer. :)

I'm new to this game. Going around the store zapping barcodes with my phone was not only ideal but it was fun. Really hoping that if something is not in their system and we need to know if it's GF of not that their is some way we can communicate with the developers to let them know. "Hey this product isn't in there. Do you think you could do some research for me so next time I can purchase it ?"

It isn't perfect. Many times products are not found in the database, sometimes I find things mislabeled. But I always check ingredient lists anyway. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull saves me time of reading through the vast majority of wheat containing products. When I find a product that I think looks good it is reassuring to "double check" with the scanner. Totally worth the price and peace of mind.

My daughter has celiac and it has been a nightmare shopping for her. My trips to the grocery store took 3-4 hours. We were always questioning the items and had to look everything up. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull makes shopping quick and simple. Mostly everything is in it. It has also made it so she can go to friends houses and check things herself without having to feel weird. Seriously the best app I have ever used.

I’m allergic to all grains so I’m beyond being a celiac. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull has literally saved my life. It would be great if we could personalize TheGlutenFreeScannerFull a little more(ie listing specific allergens) so when we scan something it will say has this has an allergen in here! There is a long list of preservatives I can’t have. I’m also soy and dairy reactive too!! At any rate thank you for still offering a superb app that I use several times a day and Ange added items myself. I do like that feature. Thanks again! 👍🏼👍🏼

I APPsolutely love TheGlutenFreeScannerFull. It’s so convenient and fast. Use it frequently in the grocery store. Very helpful to keep me on track with the gluten free life.
My only disappointment with it is that I wish there were an option to put a personal note on the items.
I.e. - the products that say “May Contain Gluten”. I’ve contacted product manufacturer of some to question them and have found out that it is or isn’t and would like to document that so I have it for the next time.
Also the same for unfound items or items not in the database. It would be great to add these as I’m from New Orleans and some of our local items aren’t listed. Thanks.

I have Celiac Disease, and so does my child. TheGlutenFreeScannerFull saves me time and frustration while grocery shopping. It also gives me peace of mind to have a source that confirms items are gluten free. Often people ask me if something is gluten free, and I can use TheGlutenFreeScannerFull to search for that information. Using TheGlutenFreeScannerFull is better than using the internet to search for such answers, as internet searches were often useless due to being outdated or not clearly stated. Sometimes answers on the internet can not be found, or they take too long to find. I use TheGlutenFreeScannerFull everyday. Thank you so very much for the help TheGlutenFreeScannerFull provides for our health and convenience.

Funny story. I’m a teacher and one of my student’s assignments was to create an app. I used the example I am recently gluten free and it would be nice if I had an app that scanned barcodes. The next day one of my students came to me saying she found TheGlutenFreeScannerFull. I had never looked! Please keep adding to the inventory. Great job so far. I love it!
