I bought this telehealth stuff through my employer, which is a school, at the beginning of the pandemic in March. I read reviews about how backlogged they were so I never used it until now, which is July 5th, middle of the night. I went to our 50th annual family reunion a few days ago and came back with what I’m 99% sure is a brown recluse bite. Living in Oklahoma and Arkansas for almost 40 years, I’ve somehow never gotten one, but I’ve known many people who have. HY said I’d receive service in less than 10 minutes and I’ve been waiting roughly two hours and it’s crashed once. This was an estimate, granted, but that’s a pretty crappy estimate. Now it’s coming up on 5am, and I’m up much later than I intended. If this is a recluse bite, which I’m near certain it is, rest is a main component of healing. It just takes the convenience out of it when the wait times are so incredibly off track. I recognize that’s a very first world problem to have, but still. How long is too long to sit and wait? 5 hours?
