If your going to build a budgeting tool, spend some time building a good one. Don't waste your time on this one.

I just downloaded this and on both my Mac Mini and my iPhone, CashFlowSpendingPlanner crashes immediately. I just see the front page of CashFlowSpendingPlanner for a millisecond and it goes away.

App is not intuitive and somewhat hard to navigate. I was unable to get recurring transactions to work consistently (by that I mean it worked once and then refused to allow anything else but single non recurring transactions. If the answer is in there somewhere it’s not easy to find. Apps should make life easier and I don’t have time to deal with poor documentation and glitchy apps. Hard pass.

I have been using CashFlowSpendingPlanner for several months. I updated and it wiped all my information. I re-entered everything and the iCloud sync takes forever to update. I have tried to update my starting balance several times before with no luck. Also, the archived transactions seem to be omitting the previous 3 days or more of information. My starting balance will be off from expected, I look in the history and the past several days of transactions are missing and don’t appear to be accounted for in the balance. This morning I looked at my starting balance and it was $3000 more than expected. I went to history and flipped back and it went up another $3000 on top of what was already there with no apparent explanation-making the forecasted balances essentially useless. Never had issues with glitches like this before the update. Hope it can get fixed quickly! I check CashFlowSpendingPlanner pretty much every day to compare to my bank account and what has cleared that was due.

The thrust of CashFlowSpendingPlanner is what I have been looking for, the ability to look at short and long term cash on hand. The negative for me is the limited editing features and the lack of a warning to save a xaction before you back out of the entry screen. Would gladly pay for CashFlowSpendingPlanner if it at least offered those features.

I have a better handle on my cash flow and expenses after 1 night of setting it up than I’ve ever had. This just works - add/customize expense names, flexibility with dates for week/month/year/one time. I’m paid every two weeks and this made it easy to see where I was getting low, as well as the impact of service charges that just need to go! Update: even better on day 2. It’s easy to delete accounts from the list by swiping left and clicking delete - as i discovered from setting things up wrong. Now the savings line is going up! And boy have I been wasting money. Analyzing the past expenses to fine tune this process is next. Thanks CostLog!

A few things to note:

On mortgage types the payment can potentially constitute of two parts a) the EMI (principal + interest) b) Escrow amount (money for taxes etc). I have to unnecessarily inflate the interest rate to match the end date because my payment amount is not just EMI.

Also, it would be nice to have a custom view of just selected categories. I might want to view just all bank accounts/or just all revolving accounts/or just all loans/ or just combination of the above few.

I’ll post more suggestions soon as I use CashFlowSpendingPlanner more.

I love CashFlowSpendingPlanner, I’ve been using it for a couple years now and it’s so much better than trying to budget the old fashioned way. My only fear is if CashFlowSpendingPlanner stops working or stops being supported, I don’t know what I’d do.

My one and only gripe, and the reason I docked a star, is that it is extremely slow. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max so I highly doubt it’s my device. Every time you do anything in CashFlowSpendingPlanner a spinning icon pops up and it takes a good 5-10 seconds between being able to do anything.

At what it does. I am more than happy with it and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anybody.
I have tried many apps, I even tried this one a couple of years ago, I am very pleased with the changes that have been made.

This is a great app. It does everything I would normally do on paper, but just much more convenient. Gives me a great look at what my year would look like. If i have a one time expense i can always add it to the chart. Thanks for the great app

Not a happy camper! Installed version 1.9.26 on my iPad Pro and all my data is now gone. CashFlowSpendingPlanner is broken, all functionality to add new data is missing.

I am updating Star Rating because Customer Support resolved my problem in less than 24 hours. I love CashFlowSpendingPlanner! Thank you George.

Best app for managing financial and know what you can afford. With CashFlowSpendingPlanner I know how much I can spend today in order to avoid going negative a month or a year from now. I provided real and important data upfront and not useless gimmicks like most apps.

User friendly, nice colors, iCloud sync, great tool! I tried so many apps but until I found this one. CashFlowSpendingPlanner is a MUST HAVE if you want to budget your financials. Keep all your bills in 1 place, never miss any! I do recommend CashFlowSpendingPlanner to every one out there, you will not regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Intuitive and works as advertised. Customer support is the best. They had a bug in the program on last revision and fixed immediately. Follow up and customer support was excellent. Top company.

Great app - really all I need to run projections out one year. It would be nice to extend it to two or even five years but for what it is this is great. Fast and functional.

There are very cash flow forecasts apps, I am so glad when I found this one. It lets me enter various single and repeat incomes and expenses with begin date and end date, there are different categories as well, I can set one up for my spouse and forecast the cash flow using combined streams.

I got real help in less than an hour when I couldn’t enter today’s balance. George emailed me very clear instructions, it works immediately. Anyway, CashFlowSpendingPlanner allows user to update today’s balance in any category other than combined which now makes sense to me.

Love CashFlowSpendingPlanner! It helps me to stay on track when I am going through so many life changing events.

I would give an extra star to CashFlowSpendingPlanner if it was possible. It's probably the most useful app on my iPad.

This is the best app purchase I’ve ever made. Gives me an overview of where I stand financially at any given time. CashFlowSpendingPlanner will help me get out of debt faster.

Perfect for forecasting.

This is exactly what I was looking for.

A long time ago I used an app that I think was just called Forecast to manage my money. It was just like CashFlowSpendingPlanner, but it’s developer dropped it.

CashFlowSpendingPlanner is just like that one except this one looks better and has a better user experience. I use CashFlowSpendingPlanner to avoid surprises and to be aware of my finances down to the day. This system helped me get out of debt and stay out of debt. Now I’m far from living paycheck to paycheck, and I continue to use it. I can plan vacations, Christmas spending, and any other expense knowing exactly what it will do to my budget.

I highly recommend CashFlowSpendingPlanner and using this method to always know where you stand and the exact impact of every financial decision you make.

It’s the only one of its kind, combining CF forecasting ability, accuracy and simplicity of use. I don’t know what I would do without it. My one unfulfilled wish with regard to improvements is that it provide a field for notes in each entry, and that it provide a means for calculating subtotals for average monthly outflows. That said, it is an essential tool for my personal financial life.

CashFlowSpendingPlanner has gotten through some VERY close calls
To be able to project 30 days -1 - 3 years and able to make adjustments to moneys in and most importantly money out BEFORE a disaster happens

I absolutely love CashFlowSpendingPlanner. It really helped me see my finances and made me feel more confident. My fiancé and I are planning to move and this has helped us see when we should move once we have a comfortable cushion in the bank!
