Yubo has been doing the exact same thing for a while, except not only do they have more on their app like lives and favoriting people and stuff like that, but they also have almost no bugs. this app is poorly designed and whoever coded Spotafriend needs to be fired and have someone else hired. I’m on a new phone (iPhone 12) which could contribute to that, but they’ve had this same format screen for years with iPhones so there shouldn’t be any issues with it. I can’t change it to only people in my area because when I do I’m getting people from all around the country not even close to me, the shaded text to show what you need to write in boxes doesn’t exist, it keeps resetting my swipe preferences because I don’t want to be talking to 13 year olds at 17. Why is Spotafriend so poorly made? Anyways, if yubo isn’t being annoying to you and locking your account because they think your face isn’t there even though it clearly is, go for yubo not this app.

I saw Spotafriend and I wanted to try it out because it’s the only app that allow under 18. I made an account and started swiping, but once I closed Spotafriend , I was unable to get back into Spotafriend . Every time I try to login, it gives me an error saying it can’t retrieve my information. When I tried resetting my password, I put in my email and it said my email wasn’t associated with Spotafriend . I then tried making a new account with the same email, but then it said my email was already associated with Spotafriend and an account has already been made. I thought I might’ve not given it enough time to process so I tried making a new account with a new email and it did literally the exact same thing. I tried going to tech support and they manually reset my password on both accounts, but neither of them worked even though the support said they were able to get access to my account.
I tried giving Spotafriend a chance, but Spotafriend didn’t allow me to give it one. Would not recommend until they can solve this issue.

Here’s the thing: I am a 19 year guy just wanting to hook up with a girl my age, but there are a lot of 18 and 19 year olds that are asking money for s$x which are most likely older men behind the screen, and many of them claim their from my area but their actually not, their in another country because if they were actually from my “area” they wouldn’t have to take a couple of minutes to look at Google Maps to guess a place to make it believable that they live there.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Don’t get me wrong there are some genuine people on here, but for me, I have mostly been getting a lot of catfishes and it’s really annoying to not meet a real human that just wants to talk and vibe out, and not begging for money or gift cards just to have a conversation and only to walk away with my money…

Also beware there are older men and women older than 30 on Spotafriend even tho Spotafriend is really supposed to be for teens and young adults, but I even saw a 37 year man on Spotafriend.

FIRSTLY: DO NOT TRUST Spotafriend

I met someone on this app. We started talking and he asked for explicit photos. I sent them to him (without showing my face). He, in turn, asked for a photo with my face. I said no and he continued to pressure me. I told him he can’t save the photos or screenshot, because I was paranoid about people sharing photos. He sent me one in return and he also said dont screenshot, so I didn’t. After I refused he screenshooted the photos and threatened to blackmail me if I did not give him what he wanted. I reported and blocked him. However, the next morning I received a test from a friend saying that she got the photos of me. I also was told by a stranger on Instagram that he sent the photos to her and also had him send screenshots of him going to send them to family on social media platforms.

I reported to the police but they couldn’t do much and the thing faded away.

Now, I just heard a male friend of mine have a similar experience. He met a girl on Spotafriend and he sent explicit photos to her—and now she’s blackmailing him for $300 that he can’t afford. Spotafriend should be shut down. Not only has it made me upset and I’ve lost sleep over my situation, but now my friend is going through this too.

Hey, I’ve been using Spotafriend for a few days now and it’s been pretty good, and there’s a lot of genuine people who use it; but it definitely has its issues. I know it can be difficult to keep creeps out of your app since they can find ways to get passed the initial verification, that’s not my issue here (but it would be nice for the mods to be a little more heavy handed with this, and find a better way to keep this from happening) My issue is with the “super swipe” feature. Originally, if you friend someone, or someone friends you, neither of you will have access to each other’s dms without someone accepting the friend request. This is good, because it allows you to sift out creeps. However, the super swipe feature automatically allows someone to be friends with you (without giving you the option to decline it, automatically giving that person access to your dms, where they can send you anything they want, pretty much) I have had MULTIPLE creeps use this on me. The biggest offense was when someone (who claimed to be a grown man) offered to pay me for sexual favors, which I was not happy about at all, to say the least. So, please get rid of the super swipe feature. It’s not safe and has no real reason to even be a thing on Spotafriend . Things would be better off if it wasn’t even there to be begin with.

Spotafriend has a lot of bugs! Sometimes I’ll click on a profile and it’ll take me to the account of the previous person I swiped. In the mail section, the conversations constantly swap and go from the top of the screen to the very bottom. Also, even though I have it filtered to people nearby, it seems to not do anything, and people who are nearby only appear in every 20 or so swipes. Another thing: I randomly got logged out of my account earlier today and my password won’t work in order to log back in. I already sent the “reset password” option to my email twice and the email still hasn’t even come in. Please do something about this. If it won’t let me log back in, I at least don’t want my account to stay activated with my picture for everyone to see.

I don’t really like Spotafriend because most people either want nudes, to trade, or just talk one time and leave as opposed to actually becoming good friends. Another thing is that I’ve had trouble with Spotafriend. Instead of becoming an ultimate member, I choose to watch an ad to get thirty minutes of seeing who swiped me so I can swipe them back. Lately I keep getting the same ad over and over and every time it freezes up in the same spot even though I have my mobile data on and have full bars on WiFi. Sometimes it will continue once it unfreezes, but a few seconds later it freezes up again. It’s aggravating because there’s no way to exit out of the ad so I just have to wait for a long time and come back onto Spotafriend later for it to get off of the ad.

Started off about a year back, was still adjusting and seeing some small bugs and kind of pushing them out of the way hoping they would be in for a fix. August if 2020 and not a thing has improved nor changed.

• 80% of the time, the ads don’t even load. You’re constantly stuck repeatedly pressing the ‘Watch Video’ button over and over again.

• Sometimes on Mobile Data, full bars and everything else is completely fine; (while using data) Spotafriend wont even load. It’s always stuck in ‘maintenance’.

• The search filters don’t even work. You can set your filter to Guys or Girls only, and then mysteriously it just resets itself to Guys AND Girls. There is NO WAY past this, and it is unbelievably annoying.

• The Developers spend more time getting representatives to advertise on their app rather update absolutely anything to make Spotafriend usable and convenient for the user.

If you’re going to make an app, be dedicated. Make money along the way, of course; but if you’re not helping or giving your users any new ANYTHING, you’re not going to get very far in my opinion.

So I have been on Spotafriend for 2 years now and here’s what I have to say. On, one hand, Spotafriend allowed be to meet people I would have never met in my life and has gave me two girlfriends in the past two years (both of which I am no longer dating but it was fun and awesome while it lasted). However having said that, I had to deal with a lot of issues and bugs in the process. Here’s just a few of them: at midnight every night, they close down the servers to do “maintenance”, you can basically skip past people without swiping, a times the chats are impossible to use, you rarely don’t even receive notifications from people that messaged you, and overall Spotafriend is very glitchy and very buggy. Oh yeah and one last thing, there has been a rampant trading community on this app that has been growing. While yes, the myLol/this app development team has taken great steps in the right direction to solve this, it is still growing and is still a fairly large community on this app.

I have had Spotafriend for a few weeks and I really enjoy it, although it has some major flaws. For the first couple of weeks I had Spotafriend , I was getting 30-50 swipes a day. Then all of a sudden I didn’t get any. Well, a few weeks later I had hundreds of swipes in my inbox from weeks back that Spotafriend had hoarded and not shown me. Two people have also messaged me on Instagram with screenshots from Spotafriend that notifies them that my account has been deleted, when it has not. I also get messages that other people have deleted their account and I thought nothing of it until the two people messaged me asking me if I blocked them or actually deleted. I have definitely made friends via Spotafriend, but it has major functionality flaws that are hard to get past.

I like Spotafriend , but it keeps crashing when I open a conversation. I will change the amount of stars if this is fixed. It is a good app, but it does have an issue with showing people who aren’t near you even though you put that as your filter. Also, I’d very much appreciate it if you made an update that requires face pictures because there are a lot of creeps on there that don’t post their face and I’m forced to swipe left on people who may be nice people but decided to put a black screen. Also, you need to implement more ways of checking someone’s age because I just met a forty year old man who was asking me to send nudes for cash. It’s very easy for people to surpass the age limit, and that needs to be changed.

App is pretty great, and only has a few things I’d want to be different.

First, when I’m searching for interests, I wish it would search based on the settings in the swipe section. I had mine set to 16-17 year old females, but the interests section kept showing me 15 year olds and guys. Developers, is there a way you can synchronize the settings for both? Or at least make it say “male” or “female” on the bio?

Another minor annoyance, is that occasionally Spotafriend will show me profiles I had already swiped in the past. I had swiped them already, I don’t need to see them again, thank you very much.

Also, there are a lot of catfish on Spotafriend . I feel that if you had monitors looking out for near duplicate profiles, profiles with the same pics, profiles with little to no pictures, and profiles with no bio, you could help remove some of them and make Spotafriend a safer experience. I’m tired of seeing people that want to “chat on WhatsApp/kik” or “trade” or be a sugar daddy/momma. If you could do something about it that would be great.

Other than that, Spotafriend has worked great!

This is a pretty decent app I’ve had it for a fairly long time but I would use it more if it didn’t have so many glitches. There are generally a few things not write in the messaging portion of Spotafriend and there are almost always things messed up with peoples bios like when I “preview” my bio. After editing it it shows the videos and images bar going straight through my bio. Also if someone has a video attached to their profile even when Spotafriend says 1 video, x images it doesn’t allow you to watch the video which is irritating. And there are some other glitches as well but you get my point.
P.s- To the people higher up in Spotafriend if you guys could fix your glitches I would and I’m sure others would actually recommend your app to other/more people because it really is a decent app but the glitches just override the good of Spotafriend .

Personally after using Spotafriend for a couple of days, I seem to like it a lot. Like everything it has it’s flaws. The application will freeze sometimes, which can be a nuisance, response time to tapping items is pretty slow, like trying to text people and profile editing. Other problems that seem to lie in the application itself are the boot animation logo consumes time when using Spotafriend . Advertisement is a way that applications make money and I can understand that from a business point of view, but perhaps getting a bigger variety of advertisements rather than repetitive ones would be appreciated. Lastly, I’ve got a few recommendations to make regarding Spotafriend , for your inbox I feel you should be able to have it organized into different sections such as favorites, newly added people, most recent, etc. Spotafriend is a nice thing to have, I hope perhaps that developers and the company can hear my input and maybe consider using my input.

I can’t seem to fix my subscription. Plus it hasn’t even been a month I mean it cancels in 2 weeks. Well supposed to. Spotafriend just acts like I have it, because I can’t click on the subscribe button that I’ve used before (the one month subscription) and I just don’t know how to fix this. I’ve looked at Apple websites and your website and it says nothing about this- other than a refund. Which I’m not willing to go through that. But it was a waste of 7 dollars if it only lasted for half the price. So- yeah. Maybe you could fix this?

I've been using this app for over a year, but, the problems i have are: 1. When i go to get my 30 min view history, i cant seem to do so because a particular ad pops up on screen and freezes the entire app. Im not sure when this started happening but i do know it's the same ad i saw when i first started using Spotafriend . 2. There are some occasional crashes which are a little frustrating 3. Spotafriend runs slow sometimes even though my internet is perfectly fine. This is a very amazing app and I'd love to see these changes take affect as they are vital to Spotafriend 's overall performance.

Two years ago I matched with this guy on here. We were 15 and 16
We talked alot, exchanged snaps, flirted, etc. you know the deal. But we never really got serious. It was just like a “oh he’s cute and I like him. But he’s far and I’m distracted by the other guys in my area” type thing. After dating a few other people within the couple of years him and I started catching up again. We always talked throughout this time but it was getting to feel more personal and a great connection was starting. This person has been the highlight of my life since we have started talking again.
SO THEREFORE I GIVE this app A GREAT REVIEW FOR PUTTING AN AMAZING PERSON IN MY LIFE WHO I WILL BE SEEING IN TWO DAYS THANK YOU.

Spotafriend is the best I met my current boyfriend on it (yes I’m gay) and we are so happy together for starters it’s an app where young people like me can meet each other there’s a verification system. Something that gets annoying about Spotafriend is the ads but I know we all need money so I respect it. I do encourage the use of the boomerang and think it should be a more permanent like all time use thing where if I accidentally swipe I don’t have to boomerang them back. I love the swipe search history too so I can see how many swipes me and how many I swiped back. Er, first off, I just want to point out that when I was downloading Spotafriend I got a notification that it contained restricted material and wanted to confirm I was 17 and up. I’m 15 and in Spotafriend description it literally says that app is for ages 13 through 19. But I just wanted to say it’s a great app that ensures only teenagers can use it because of your profile picture. That’s how far I used Spotafriend before I deleted it tho. I’m not photogenic and I didn’t like how my picture would be the first impression someone had of me and so I deleted it even before I finished registering my account. Plus, all the negative reviews out there, the developers already replied to them and fixed most of it. They’re giving Spotafriend a bad rep for nothing. Hence the 5 stars I’m giving right now. This is my cue to stop rambling. Adios

I’ve been using Spotafriend for a good while now, and I love it! It’s great to meet new people. And I was pleasantly surprised to see the new coat of paint it had with this update. Unfortunately, the update made everything look nicer at the cost of ease to use. Everything loads insanely slow now, whereas the longest you had to wait before the update was maybe three-seconds if you weren’t on wifi. Now it takes nearly a full minute to load anything aside from your own profile. Spotafriend also bugs out when you message people and back out, and I’m seeing people I’ve already swiped two or three times again, which shouldn’t be happening. I love Spotafriend, but I do think that these need to be addressed so Spotafriend is fun to use again.

Edit: Thankfully the problems I asked about did get fixed! Today when I opened Spotafriend I was really happy to see everything was running smoothly! Ads can be a bit long, but overall I’m now really happy with this update. Thanks!

I swear all I get is when I open Spotafriend is “put to fingers and your face in the camera to MoDeRatE your account and I don’t want to Do that and even when I do that i still get it. I swear they just want pics of little kids. The amount of ADS are so annoying and they last forever I swear I can buy a house in another country win a game of fortnite and travel to Japan and back and it not even be on the second part of the ad. No way in hell im paying anything for Spotafriend it’s lagging it crashes the texting doesn’t work like come on. I have never ever in my entire life left a review on a game. OH ALSO the location doesn’t work AT ALL. Well that’s all I have to say I may use this when the issues are fixed but for now SAYANORA NERD.

So I really love the dynamic of Spotafriend and truly believe it could really be great. I have met a ton of new friends, and had very interesting conversations with different types of people. It has been a ton of fun. Although I love Spotafriend I can't rate it very high as of now because every single night since I've had it, and I've had it a week now, it stops working around 9:30pm central standard time. This is infuriating! That's when most people are on, and I miss so many messages, conversations, and potential friend because of this. It would be the coolest app I've ever had if it wasn't for problems like these. I really hope you guys work on it because it could honestly be such a great app. Until then one star it is.

I like the idea of Spotafriend . & I think it’s great and all but I really wish you’d work out the messages , I find it extremely hard to find my conversations because they gets lost from all the other matches I’m getting . Or the other thing two would be that when I go to messages the profile pictures randomly change up and down for about a minute so I’m forced to wait in order to reply to the right person. It’d be great if we have our actual conversations separate from the people that are just liking us back, sort off like tinder does it. Just a suggestion, thank you ! Aside from that , I’m happy with Spotafriend !

I’ve been using Spotafriend for about 3 weeks now. And after that one I have to say, Spotafriend is solid, I’ve met some great people. And even one person from the town I’m in, which for all apps like this shouldn’t be the case. I constantly find myself seeing people from California, Idaho, Michigan, all of these states are 100s of miles away from me. I probably find about 1-2 people within an hour of me every 1 or 2 days. To be fair I don’t know how many people use Spotafriend in my area, it just seems I should find people spot closer to me. That’s my only complaint though, everything else on Spotafriend is great.

Im gonna rate this a little better since I’ve met a lot of good people here, but Spotafriend is way too much pay, they even turned a previously free feature of Spotafriend that on most apps like this is free (seeing who swiped you and swiping them back). An app like this has really good potential but it’s poorly crafted, greedy, and difficult to use.

I usually presume the “contact us” button along with me putting in a message, my email and user does the job, but it didn’t do anything then. At least I remembered my old password and got back into my password.

i think this is a pretty good app. except with the frequent ads but i guess i can live with it. anyway if i had to say something it was just some minor things that bugged me. every time i got on, is realize i start getting ages i didn’t want so i’d fix it in the settings but next time i get on it’s just reset. i find it annoying i have to reset the age every time but oh well. second thing is i wish there was more space to write your bio. yes, 300 characters seems good to get all the basic information but there just isn’t enough space for me to put down everything i think is important before talking to me. there are things i’d like to get out of the way without having to say them in the chat which is kinda buggy btw. or, instead of having to log into facebook for our interests, you can just write them down (because i’m not allow to have a facebook) and frankly i don’t really want one tbh. it’d shorten my bio a bit and help with the word vomit when you press bio. anyway, still an overall pretty good app! nicely done.

I absolutely love Spotafriend. Although I haven’t exactly made proper conversation with anyone here, I find the content itself to be great. The only problem is Spotafriend isn’t responding to my filters. One day, the filters were fine, only showing boys & girls 13-15 near me. But all of a sudden, I started getting profiles eons away from me. I cant swipe right or left on a single person near me because there isn’t anyone near me to swipe! I really do appreciate Spotafriend , but this is rather annoying.

I'll be honest, the first time I used Spotafriend I thought it was terrible. As time went on, however, I began to like it more and more. Matching is easy, talking to people is easy, and Spotafriend is pretty intuitive as it is.

I met my girlfriend through Spotafriend and I can't really say I can complain. We bonded over a simple subject and things just went great from there.

The location accuracy could be a bit better, and the filters might need some improving, but aside from this it's an absolutely fantastic app.
