4.6 out of 5
Unable to find character

I downloaded UnicodeMapandCodeTable so that I could insert non-breaking spaces into text in various places in iOS. After spending five minutes just trying to locate the NBSP character in UnicodeMapandCodeTable, I'm giving up and deleting it. No app should be this difficult to use. Maybe a search feature would help.

Pretty useless app with horrible usability

It has the characters you want. That's pretty much all I can say about it. I was looking for something that would give me desired symbols in my keyboard. This doesn't do that. The problem is that UnicodeMapandCodeTable doesn't really tell me what I can do. It just has some symbols which you can just copy to clipboard, some toggles which give no feedback what they are toggling, and a settings page which doesn't have settings, but instead just advertises this guy's other apps. I'm so upset I can get my time back from trying to use UnicodeMapandCodeTable.

Used to be great, but search is now broken

A recent app update made it so search no longer searches characters. Instead, it searches categories, which is not useful. I hope it gets fixed soon!

Awesome & Easy-To-Use

I've downloaded several different Unicode/character maps and this one is, by far, one of the best ones I've used. The categories are laid out all nice & neat and in a reasonable assembly so it's quite easy to find what you're looking for...or stumble across something you didn't know you needed until you saw it! Very easy-to-use. Overall, fantastic app! (:

πŸ‘

It does what is says, and does it well! It could be improved with a way for users to make a collection/category of their own.

Big selection but no search, can only copy one at a time

Inability to select several characters then copy them all at once is a weak point.

Nice big selection.

My phone is from 19tickety6

UnicodeMapandCodeTable enables me to pretend I know what the cool kids are saying via my glorified antique iRock. It does bring me back to my days of carving hieroglyphs on the walls of my cave as a child. And I do like that. I'm really into using emoji combos to exhibit my "joking" disgust at unsolicited nudes, which enables me to get my "ugh gross" point across while minimally hurting feelings. Thanks, hieroglyph smiley team! My only complaint is that wind chime thing? Looks like a jellyfish carrying a party invitation or office memo. I don't believe wind chimes look like that, nor jellyfish attend parties or are employed. Please add chimes to the wind chime, or a party hat or tie to the jellyfish so i know where he's going.

Very Useful App-If Only It Were Adaptive

Wonderfully complete selection of unicode symbolsβ€”every alphabet from Cherokee to cuneiform. Keeps track of frequently/recently used symbols. It would rank 5 stars if it had an adaptive interface allowing use in horizontal mode on iPad. I do a lot of writing in horizontal view with a keypad, and it’s really annoying to have to pick up the device and rotate to find a symbol.

Time of appearance

Appearance time is only a moment and does not let you view carefully, analyze, and then decide the right symbol to use.

I would suggest to let the user decide the appearance time. In other words the appearance and disappearance should be manually and not automatically controlled.

Best symbols app out there !

Well let's just start off with I wasn't rewarded to write this review - I just simply wanted to show everyone how great UnicodeMapandCodeTable is on my own ! Well there's SO MANY different symbols and it's so easy to operate ! Like you just press which symbol you want and it's automatically copied for you! I thought there was a catch but it's all free (:

My favorite symbols app

A huge assortment of glyphs are made easy to access with customizable category ordering. UnicodeMapandCodeTable has a clever "view-changer" to help you find what you are looking for.
In addition, it compiles your recently used symbols as well. Outstanding in its class.

Symbols Galore!

Most symbols I have found in an app yet! I have used six others and none come close in number! If you need characters and stmbols for ANYTHING, UnicodeMapandCodeTable is for you. Definitely a must have!

Possible my favorite Unicode App

I've used tons of Unicode apps before, they almost always crash. This one is well designed and works well. Plus it's Free!

Unicode Map is the best

There are more symbols in one place than I ever seen on one App.
What really makes this a wonderful App is how well organized Unicode Map is. So easy to use.

Symbology is great brain training

The most comprehensive and well organized Unicode menu I've found. Fun and easy to use, great creative time killer.

Great for what it is

Looks like some reviewers are rating UnicodeMapandCodeTable based on expectations they pulled out of their rear ends. UnicodeMapandCodeTable provides the Unicode characters in their various sets, and it's very handy for finding diacritics and symbols that can be hard or inconvenient to find elsewhere when you don't have a desktop computer available.

The best app out there + some ideas for future features

Okay first, let's get one thing straight, this is the best unicode app out there, but no matter how far ANY app comes, features can always be added, so two features that can be added are: an iMessage app and an ability to search the unicode for the letter in question, like searching U+0F32

Clean and easy to use

UnicodeMapandCodeTable is one of the cleanest and easiest to use of its kind. However...(only because this is what we have been searching for) what is the possibility that in an update you could create a valknut icon? We have been downloading all the symbol apps we can find and it is nowhere! Otherwise, after using UnicodeMapandCodeTable it is extremely comprehensive and very user friendly.

Amazing

UnicodeMapandCodeTable has exactly what I wanted and everything I wanted and more! It's fun to use and especially mess around with.

Decent app

It could be improved, but overall it does what it's supposed to. I recommend it.
