App doesn’t work anymore

I’ve never had any issue with CDGZig until the last few months. It is incredibly frustrating as I prefer Comfort Del Gro over Grab etc.

I continue to get invalid location that is greyed out or a no server connection message no matter where I am and what to do.

Everything is greyed out or not registering when I try an enter destination or pickup addresses.

I only have no issue paying for street hail when in a cab. At least I have that. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled CDGZig numerous times to no avail.

The company doing nothing to fix CDGZig issues, so many report on, is them shooting their own self in the foot. There is a decline in people taking taxis per the news. Well, Comfort Del Gro is contributing to that themselves by “upgrading” to a useless broken app numerous loyal customers now are unable to use.

When is a new, working app going to be available? The company ought to be working on this full time. Very disappointing and the company has now forced me to go to Grab and other ride hail apps.

Again to the company, when will your broken app start working again ??

No chat. High price. Poor pick selection option

CDGZig still needs a lot of work. The choice for pick up location is terrible and when you think everything finally got right but you can see the driver is going the wrong place you do not have a chat option. Only call option which is not attractive while roaming.
Often their prices are also higher than metered taxis or Grab.

Not very good

CDGZig needs a LOT of improvement. Here are the main issues:

- first, many common locations, buildings, points of interest, etc. do not readily appear in the search function when entering information, causing unnecessary time and effort to enter a destination address.

- after getting a taxi, the taxi location is not updated dynamically in the map and usually stays static for quite a long time.

- taxi drivers do not communicate through the map with chat, and only a phone contact is available.

- In addition, there seems to be a high cancellation rate for drivers, many minutes after securing a taxi.

International phone number

CDGZig does not function with a contact number outside of +65. Getting transport here is difficult already, but this adds another layer of problems. I’m not the first to say this in a review of CDGZig and I wonder what has been done for the people who got feedback and were asked to send an email. Consider this your email and repair CDGZig , please.

Why is comfort so worthless

How can a taxi company be so broken. Avoid like the plague. No one answers calls. Cabs just cancel and drive away. Serious, how can something be so broken.

Update: Saturday night, tried for 10 minutes to get a cab and none to be found. I canceled 3 jobs moving to different locations to try to get a car, and now CDGZig has locked me out. Can’t stress enough to avoid this corrupt company like the plague.

Credit Card Payments Suddenly Stopped Working

I urgently needed a cab but when I tried to book one, I got the message that the card wasn’t accepted, or some message like that. When I tried to open the credit card manager, CDGZig displayed the circular processing sign, then nothing. Tried seven times but received the same results each time. In the end, I had to activate my PayLah in order to make the booking and payment.

Broken for US phones

Used to be my go-to Taxi app but for the past couple of years I haven’t been able to book nor pay for a street hail. Even once you hack your way through registration (by copy/pasting your phone number into the text field), you’re met with an eternally spinning hourglass whenever you try to book or pay

Crazy cancellation rate

I get cancelled by the drivers on average twice each trip! Somehow the policy probably doesn’t have any mechanism in place holding the drivers responsible for fulfilling orders they take. The worst cases are that we paid extra $8 for advance bookings and the drivers never came on time (only called like 10 min in advance saying they are far away from our address…and this happened twice already). Don’t know what’s the point of the advanced booking then. Very bad experience.

Horrible product design

This is ridiculous. I was in a hurry to get a cab and when I opened CDGZig , it forced me to input my email and verify it. What was the product design team thinking? Most people who use ride-hailing services are in a rush, and yet at a critical moment, CDGZig forces users to waste time. Moreover, why do they need to collect email information when they already have my phone number? CDGZig is a complete waste of time. I only use it as a backup when Grab is unavailable, but I won't be using it again in the future.

Doesn’t handle exceptions well and missing features

When it works it handles booking and payments well. kudos.

However, two key features are missing: 1) a timer showing an updated ETA (the current timer only shows the ETA from the time the driver accepts the booking) 2) ability to share ride status and ETA in a real-time web app

Most critically, CDGZig doesn’t handle exceptions well. For example, if the driver cancels CDGZig doesn’t allow you to rebook using the same payment method as it thinks it’s being used for another booking. This is a strange design decision.

Trip canceled without reason and refund

This is the first time using CDGZig and the experience was horrible.
I booked a ride and it showed the driver had arrived. However, we can’t find each other . I tried to find the location but the map and icon of CDGZig wasn’t clear enough ( the icon that shows the car was in a building almost the center)
So I tried calling the driver . He hung up the phone right after he picked it up. Then the trip was canceled, but the payment still existed . Couldn’t find a way to communicate/ refund. This is ridiculous.

virtually unusable

CDGZig takes a long time to load. I have a US-based phone number and it would not let me type the phone number in. I had to cheat and copy and paste the phone number for it to be accepted.

I have been unable to verify my email, and every time CDGZig loads, it takes a very long time.

Location tracking also does not seem to be very accurate. It shows me to be a block away from where I actually am and when I try to update the location, I end up giving up because, it never loads the location and I force quit CDGZig .

When it works it’s good, when it doesn’t it’s beyond terrible

When CDGZig is working well it’s Avery easy process. However, I often have to delete and reinstall due to crashes, drivers cancel trips while on the way, and the time estimates are way off. Also there seems to be an issue with the gps tracking of cabs where it lags significantly.

Good look with verification

When signing up for CDGZig , the verification is through an SMS to your phone number. Tried to get it on WiFi, tried with and without VPN set to the USA, where my phone is based. No luck. This is the only app I’ve ever used in which I couldn’t get an SMS verification. No problem getting the SMS from the Grab or Gojek apps.

Hidden 10% admin fee

I like using comfort taxis when the price is comparable to grab/gojek because normally they arrive faster and know where they’re going. But I’ve noticed a 10% “net admin fee” recently on my receipts, which quite frankly annoyed me and makes the comparable fares no longer that comparable.

Sneaky money grab if you ask me. Tell me the full fare up front instead of sneaking it on me at the end on a receipt you know I probably won’t read.

So called promotional offer …

So these guys were advertising a $5 voucher for first time users luring one from Grab. The discount turns out to be total rubbish, they bump up the fare by $5 and then apply the discount so you are actually paying the standard rate. Such a bad practice. Otherwise CDGZig works just like any ride sharing app.

Nice but drivers can leave you hanging

Nice when it works, other times drivers don’t like the trip and just drive away from your location, hoping that you cancel. Doesn’t happen with the other apps.

Functional

Pretty good features for booking a taxi and paying, with the possibility making several stops and updates & communication from the drivers.

Taking away stars for the broken functions of updating phone numbers and logging out (just a spinning loading screen).

Inaccurate status

Did an advanced booking, app found a cab but subsequently it showed as cancelled. We needed something more reliable so booked a transfer through the hotel. When the time came, the advanced booking showed up despite the cancelled status.

Works well

I always use CDGZig to request for a taxi.
