This game is a total disappointment. It had the potential to be a really cool platformer that eventually went to steam with all the good games. However instead the developers went with the normal mobile game feel and made the game basically impossible to progress in unless you pay for things. You can only do like 2 raids an hour because barely get any lock picks, it’s almost impossible to finish a ritual without your gem being stolen at least once, upgrading traps or anything in the tech tree to a point of being useful is almost impossible because the cost of each upgrade goes up so fast, and worst of all to save base you have to beat it twice in a row. Like why, if you beat it once you’ve proved it’s possible so why do you have to beat it twice in a row. With just these problems I would have rated it 3 stars as the game is still kinda fun. But then something horrible happened. I decided to purchase a month of the king’s grace for 5 dollars so the game could actually be fun. And after I gave away my 5 dollars, NOTHING, NOTHING HAPPENED. THEY LITERALLY STOLE MY MONEY AND GAVE ME NOTHING IN RETURN. THIS GAME DOESN’T EVEN DESERVE THIS SINGLE STAR. BUYER BEWARE, NOT GET THIS GAME EVER!

I’ve been playing this game for quite some time now, and I’m enjoying it. But there is one problem that brings my rating down three stars. That is, if you really want to have a fun time playing this game, you need two main resources: keys, and the blue orb thingies. And to get those you either have to level up (orbs and keys) or wait/watch a video to get more (keys). The problem though, is that to level up to get keys/orbs, you need keys to do the things to get experience points. Meaning, you have to have keys to get keys. And if you run out of keys at any point in the game, you’re either gonna have to buy them with real world money, or wait a few hours to get a decent amount of keys. I hope that if you’re not prepared to spend a lot of money on a free mobile game quite a bit, that this review helped you in some way. And if developers actually read reviews, then zeptolab, I’d be more than happy to play your high quality, fun games if they weren’t such a money grab for people wanting to just play casually with no interruption. I’m having fun with this game playing with my son but the game is misleading in the chances you have on winning gems and opening doors. When you unlock doors by trying to find the locks, if you see ten locks, logic would dictate that you have to simply hit the right lock to open the door. This is simply not the case. 60% of the time, I have to remove every lock to open the door. 20% of the time, it’s the second to the last lock. Leaving all other options at 20%. The chances of happening is astronomical unless the door lock puzzle is misleading or rigged. The game also has a gem steal chance spinner. If you land in the green zone, you win the gem. The green space does not show your actual chances of winning the gem, in my experience, the chance is a mix of slightly better chance of winning to impossible of what the green zone shows. It seems to largely depend on your level, the size of the gem you’re trying to win, and how the game feels about you at the moment. As long as you can get past the thought of the game deciding when you win rather than the fictitious chances it presents you, you’ll like the game, hence three stars.

This game is really fun expect for the part of impossible bases but regardless the only problem I would have with this is the levels. I’m a hardcore fan I played for 2 years but after 1 year you guys got rid of the point of during the levels. Before it used to be for get a new base but since you changed it all you can get is the mining places which nobody really cares about. I think you guys can fix this by add cool rewards like the spinner hits a random thing (of course there could be no rewards) but like 10k coins, 100 tears and 20 orbs and it gets hard which means better rewards. Also pleas bring back the rewards of winning the arena form last years because it gave so much loot which made me better , I loved it too bad you took it away. Another thing is to bring back the chat because it’s always better to get tips form your guild mates but why would you , you only care about the money. Other then that this game is great with making you think outside the box and makes you think about timing.

I have downloaded this game twice, hoping to give this game another chance, but I still ended up deleting it feeling disappointed. The game is addicting and fun at first, and I like how you can set up your own base and then test it out. However, once you level up and get to higher leagues it gets harder. You spend so much time building up the gems you have, but then they get stolen by other players and it’s very difficult to retrieve them. That’s the thing that I found to be most frustrating about this game. To retrieve a gem you have to pass through the base belonging to the player who stole from you. If you’re lucky the player’s base will be easy, or you can use potions to help you get through a tough base. But then all of that effort goes to waste when you pass the base and you spin a spinner to get your gem back. Most of the time the spinner won’t let you keep your gem, even if you passed through the base without losing any lives. You can spin the spinner multiple times for “orbs” (which are hard to get in the game unless you spend money on them) but even then there’s little chance you can get the gem back. In my opinion, it should be just as easy to retrieve gems as it is to steal gems from other players.

So I got to level 76, which you might think is pretty far until you notice that most of the levels are easy but some are really hard and leave you confused like 76, this level has crystal traps that deal around 20-30 health and you have to do a time prefect jump after dodging everything to be able to get over the cliff not to mention the fact that if you miss the jump you will die making this the most difficult level in the area. And you really should make a balance player system, because if you level up your 1 key required locks you will go see other dungeons that will now have 6 key gold lock out of nowhere, and if you even think that you can have fun just playing the normal thing then are you even playing, you get over to the next are and POW you got gold level enemy’s with purple 3 key locks, next area? Crystal level enemies with gold 6 key locks. This game escalated too quickly and is kinda unfair to the player, let alone the other people making a death trap for there dungeons that are just stupid and impossible for the beginner players.
Over all those are my problems with the game and I’m sure other people got there own problems with it too.

King of Thieves is a good and fun game to play but I have been hit and struck with so many bad things in my history of playing the game that it just makes me wanna stop playing sometimes. I raided a dungeon and I was supposed to get 180,000 coins (I used a 2x potion) and the game didn’t even give me my coins (nor the potion) back. Another thing is that the max daily login chest is a disappointment because you only get 40 orbs which isn’t enough for like 3 or 4 weeks of non-stop logins. ALSO, when your gem gets stolen you only have a 25% chance to get it back IF YOU GET 3 STARS!!! I find this extremely unfair and annoying because I have had times where I get 3 stars and use 20 orbs and STILL LOSE MY GEM, and whenever you do get lucky enough to “retrieve” your gem it doesn’t take it away from the attacker it only gives you a duplicate of your gem. Also it takes FOREVER to fuse gems, I mean 3 or 5 hours for a 2500+ value gem. I think It should be 2 hours for <2000 and 4 hours for 3500+ this is only my opinion though.

I have been playing this game for about a year, I’m good at it, it is simple yet intense. I have a guild with all of my friends and we are high up. And after all this time, this game has not failed to entertain me. But I have some suggestions that I think would make the game so much better! I hope you will at least think of adding them!
So, one thing is, it should alert your phone (or any device) if one of your guild mates treasures are stolen. And, also, the other day (and a million other times) I spent so much in the outfit machine, (8 leaves, 9 mountains, 6 mushrooms, and 4 eyes) and I got a skin I already had!! And all it gave me was one of blue circles, (I can’t think of what they are called right this moment) ONE. So please do something like, if you get what you have, you depending on what you put in it will give you that much if the blue things, (still can’t think of it!!??)
And you should be able to chat with your guildmates.

I enjoyed the game while I played but started to realize a fundamental issue: You can never stop playing and be able to pick up where you left off. I.e, At one point I was a bit worn out from this game so I decided to take a break for a week. At the end of the week, I went back on to continue playing. It was then that I noticed how I had been raided over and over again. I had a lot of gold at the start of the week, but now, I was effectively at square one. But overall this isn’t terrible, rather, a bit of an annoyance. One other issue is the guilds. As one of the lessons you have to join a guild. After that you aren’t required to do anything else. This means you’ll often get stuck with people that joined for the quest reward, then will outright ignore everyone else. Maybe this would’ve lowered my rating, but you can ignore them, so I guess I am kinda overreacting. All in all, this is a good, fun game to play

I’ve been playing this game for a while and overall a very good game. No lags, nothing perfect and very addicting to wanna keep starting the game up. My only issue is when I first started the game I accidentally didn’t pay attention and canceled notifications and I always put notifications on any game I play because it’s important obviously. So I figured I could go into settings and go and turn it on and it won’t let you for some strange, dumb reason. The game has a help menu basically for questions to help you understand with or any concerns with the game. So I go and find notifications on off help and it says to just delete the game with your saved data in iCloud and play through the hole tutorial which you played through already when you start. So desperate as I am because I wanna know when upgrades,gems, or raids on my dungeon get finished and I go through the hole tutorial and I turn notifications on and load up my original account and it didn’t work at all and I did exactly as “customer service Q/A” did and it didn’t work so maybe in a future update possibly can you please, please fix where you can switch notifications on in the settings. Let me ask you this, why is a on/off for notifications is in the settings if you can’t even turn it on? PLEASE FIX IT.

This game is fun and great it’s just a little raging sometimes. Like when someone breaks into your dungeon and steals like most of you coins then you here with like 2000 coins and can’t do anything with it. Then you go to get more, but it keeps on giving you ver difficult dungeons to do and up you can’t do them so you loose more of your coins skipping through looking for easy dungeons to go through. Then eventually you run out of keys and now there is nothing for you to do. Then once you get gems to fuse together someone just steals it after like 3 min of you starting the ritual and that just now happened to me while typing this.
I know that there is no actual way of stopping this, but there needs to be some changes to make it easier because I have reseted and re played at his game about 5 times now in the last 3 years because once you reach a certain point it’s just too hard so there is no point in keeping KingofThieves . Then I think of all the fun I had with it so I re download it and I’m just thinking about getting rid of it again.

I’ve had this game for a year, and I’m loving it. I have some issues though. I would like more levels and totems, cause I’m almost finished beating the levels, and it would be nice to still be able to make gems. And can getting coins be a little easier please? Oh, and one last BIG problem. I had a made a guild, and it was pretty dang good. Except one day I logged in, and I somehow was kicked out. Even though I was the leader. PLEASE FIX THIS! And also please make the guild battles more fair. I remade my guild, and somehow am currently going up against someone with 150 wins! And I’m pretty sure you measure the fairness by how many players are in each guild, cause that 150 wins guild has only one player. Please fix the fairness of the guild battles! Oh and thanks to my loses no one wants to join my guild, The Thief Crew. Edit: it’s been 2 years since ive got the game now, and there is a problem. With the guild. For some reason, when i tap the guild button up at the top of the screen, it says ‘unexpected error occured, try again later’. It does this every single time. I want to open my guild and it wont work. Please fix.

So this game is great and all, tons of interesting mechanics, intuitive and easy to follow, but once you go into late game, the game becomes impossible. Basically in order to get into the last league, you have to steal a absurd amount of gems just to not get demoted. If you don’t make the cut, you get demoted and it becomes a struggle to get first place in the Totemius to try and get promoted again to King of Kings league. And Im pretty sure the King of Kings league counts players from the entire world so of course it would be hard. But then why make it so that so many people get demoted? Just lower the number a bit and I’ll be fine. Then you have to make a good enough dungeon and you can’t put more than 1 gold gem in the totem or it will definitely get raided. If you want to enhance your 3 most powerful gems you have to spend orbs. And then the game allows some busted dungeons to exist like saw jumps. A saw jump is when you put a saw on the edge next to a gap so you have to jump on that few pixels of space on the ledge and avoid the saw. And that’s not even the hardest jump. The community has come up with some nearly impossible ones. Ok rant over

It’s great and it’s fun but there is just a few annoying problems. First, revenge raids. Multiple times people have stolen up to 60,000 coins from me and when I try to raid them back, I can only get like 2 or 3 thousand coins back which isn’t fair at all. Secondly, your gems stop when you lose one. There should be a setting or something you can turn on where if you lose a gem it’ll put another gem in. It would probably be best if you had the option to put in either a gem close to the stolen ones value, or just the gem worth the least in your inventory. Thirdly, making bases. Why do you have to save your base two times in a row? You should only have to finish it once to prove it’s possible. Its just annoying when you finish it once and then fail the next time and lose your other attempt. Lastly, keys. Not everyone wants to pay a bunch of money for a few keys so we watch ads. But, the purple locks take 3 keys each which converts to 1 ad per lock! That’s insane! There are also golden locks which take 6 keys to open which would convert to 2 ads for 1 keyhole! There just has to be a better way to get keys other than paying or watching a bunch of ads.

I love this game a lot and play it all the time. I have a few complaints though. First, why do you have to complete the dungeon twice? Its ridiculous and quite time consuming unless you have the quickie spell. Second, why is the living totem so hard and why such a small amount of health? Why doesn’t the trap disable if you die enough times and why are some of the dungeons almost impossible? You either have to stockpile orbs and disable trap potions or it’s impossible to beat. Third, how are you supposed to beat the leagues? Is there some secret to getting a ridiculously high rating? And why is there so many people that are a really high level in my league? Fourth, some of the people’s dungeons I view have maxed out the traps and their player level is only level 40. Are they hacking? The game is great otherwise and I very much hope that you change these things so people can play the game easier and be able to enjoy it more.

I got this game several years back, I forgot about it... So when I got a new phone I decided to download it. I’ve had it about for a week and it’s just as fun as I remember. Stealing gems and gold, joining a guild, making a dungeon, and doing the other fun things this game has to offer. It’s been going pretty smooth , but yesterday something started happening. I’m not sure if it’s King of Thieves or just Apple , but this Game Center thing keeps popping up I try to close it but it just won’t stop. So I tried making an account, it didn’t work. The game crashes every time I open it. This game is awesome other than this. It might just be my phone. I totally recommend it.

You can steal gold and gems from other players dungeons. Join a guild and lots of other fun things. If you download this game have fun!

As you may know, you are a thief whom makes their way to the top of the leaderboard by collecting gems, this is actually quite fun. While challenging yourself to complete other’s dungeons, being cautious of the traps, you also have to create your dungeon and get through it twice in a row. This procedure is good, however, also extremely annoying, as you might make it through a hard dungeon setup, only to be turned down the second time around. Not only do setup the dungeon, you have abilities that you can upgrade, making it easier for you to do things. You even have an extremely extensive collection of skins for your thief, as well as a throne. The only problems: Do not play in a bad WiFi area, for it will reload you, losing all of your progress in a dungeon. The dungeon creator is also really annoying, as I have already explained, and the mass number of thieves at your door is also not helpful, making it extremely hard to make it through rituals, which get up to 12 hours😰. This game is overall fun, and I do suggest joining a guild, like mine...

I have been playing this game for over 3 years now. It’s actually very fun to attack other people’s dungeons and steal their gems. I always make sure I have shield on before going offline. It’s also very funny to see all those skulls lying around there every time I get back! But I don’t know why the pre made levels always have so little amount of gold. Because what is the point of going x games mode on it if I’m not going to get a fair reward?🤣also, when you attack other people’s dungeons for a gem or the amount of gold, and you try to break in, the lock picks always make sure you open them all before entering. And my lock pick chance level might be high, but it’s always the same. And when you manage to break in and beat it, if it’s a gem you are trying to get, it always makes sure you get the weakest one even though you have the best gem chance high.

Let me start by saying that this game is great, amazing, and fun. If you are someone that only want a few games on your phone/iPad then i highly recommend this game. It has many different dungeons that you can raid and never get bored of because they are all different and are the home to different players.
This game is also great because you get to interact with the players in your guild and share feedback on each others dungeon and help better your dungeon.
The only thing that i have to complain about is that you get wayyyy to much notifications. Like every time your dungeon is raided you get a notification. Every time your gem is ready you get a notification. For some of the things i understand, but about half of the notifications i get, are a not important so if you get this game i highly recommend that you turn off the notifications. Other than that this game is amazing and i really like it.

Ok so my old review on this game was dorky and stupid. It also said I hate CATS, which I now like with the exception of my phone breaking down. This review is going to be better because I have read the reviews of other people. First off: A common hate from the KoT community. You make us do the dungeon twice before saving. People hate it, but I found a reason for it. Obviously players want to create the hardest dungeon. This means it would take a colossal amount of time to do it twice which you want. Second is to ban trap removal from dying 7 times. I always get stolen from that way. Third is to give dungeons to players based on their thrones. Also add gems to the levels which you only have one chance to get. Also add more gold because 3000 just isn’t enough. Also match dungeons with your lock amount. I see a dungeon with 12 gold locks and level 46 traps all the time so this is a big issue.
I like the idea of consistent challenges and the whole league idea. I also like guild battles which I win because my guild is lucky enough to attract pros and help me win. I also think you should be able to get the new throne immediately after you upgrade the previous throne. This is keeping me from getting the Wise Judge throne. Also PLEASE add back the guild chat. Bye, time for me to rob a totem!

I was having a nice time with this game! Then of course they had to be THOSE developers and ruin it. If you are not active for a while and you are the leader of a guild then it gives your guild to some random person you do not know!! This is unfair and enrages me on so many levels. A lot of people can not just spend all day in the game. Some have jobs while other have school and then homework every day of the week! I cannot say how disappointed and obviously angered I am.

So I have been reading some other reviews... especially ones with responses. I feel as though the developers honestly DO NOT CARE. If you don’t believe me please go read their comments. Every single comment I read has some remark border lining on just saying ‘hey we don’t really care what your problem is!’ This game has turned completely into a nightmare mess up of a game. Simple and sweet is usually the way to go, but no one can see that apparently(not applying only to this game). I have also noticed they pick and choose which ones to comment on based on if they want to answer or if they are hoping for a raise in ratings (not the only people to do this).

Don’t get me wrong I love this game but balance is broken for matchmaking. Yeah it matches you with people of the same level +- about 1-2 levels but this causes some issues. I’m currently level 23 and some of the people I’m matched with have very high level traps for my level, some people even have max level traps! This really isn’t fair since 1 hit would easily take out most of my life and this doesn’t include the people with max level door locks, which takes 72 lock picks just to open. This isn’t an issue though if you pay $5 a month to get 10 times the lock picks, so someone with level lock pick capacity could easily unlock max level doors. Not to mention all the other perks you get for paying $5 that puts you in a major advantage. Only reason I’m not giving this 1 star is because I thoroughly enjoy the game.

In the style o thieve the only skin you can get are the worst ones the gray ones. I put 3 eyeballs 6 mushrooms and 7 magic dust or what ever that stuff is called and I got a skin I’ve had forever and I got 1 orb for it... also about the bases my throne is the Forseer level 9 and still I can’t even 1 star bases that have max lvl traps because they 4 hit me sometimes 3 hit and it’s impossible to get higher cause I can’t even finish a ritual without losing more rating than getting it. So once you hit where I am it’s pretty much impossible to go up because the only way you can get rituals done is by orbing them which you need to save up from guild wars so you can FINALLY just orb your ritual. And when you’ve finally gotten a base your proud of and happy with it uh-oh your totem broke now what will you do? Buy orbs or move to the next one? Oh I can’t make a good base out of these traps whatever guess I’ll spend 2 dollars to get a base that will still get 3 stared

I HATE the Christmas update. It was good before. Please tell me it’ll go back to normal soon! I didn’t even wanna update, but it wouldn’t let me play until I did, and it wouldn’t even let me update for a few days, so I wasn’t able to play and a bunch of my gold and one of my gems got stolen and I couldn’t do anything and the stupid raiding houses through chimneys got me to blow all my orbs avoiding the red guards and I ran out I didn’t get any treasure how could anyone get through all 25 houses anyway? And they shuffle the presents and I thought that it was like following the cups with your eyes and choosing which one had the ball but no it was just random and also a while back you got rid of the option to report some dungeons as impossible because there are some seriously sketchy ones and I am NOT just saying that out of spite I would try to check the dungeon solution for those when I gave up and the game would disconnect that also happens a lot when I’m trying to retrieve guild members gems I would be on, like, my 20th try and just when I’m about to get close the frickin’ thing disconnects and it counts it as a failure Also traps for new dungeons and upgrading traps is way too expensive and they’re not even that good AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH.

Overall amazing game, it has kept me captivated since the early 2008’s I believe it was when I first got it and being 2019 that’s over a decade of enjoyment. I’ve seen the game progress and digress a lot in terms of game mechanics and my own profile. As of recently though I have noticed a big issue. The solution is not to remove it because it is a good part of game game and tactical but the disable trap potion is not random. In multiplayer bases it disables the trap that’s done the most damage... so if I intentionally kill myself on the trap that holds everything together on my first attempt and use the disable trap potion then that trap will become disable. You have allowed the “random disable trap potion” become a knife that can cut away any part of the base we wish so long as we lose more life to it than other traps. Keeping the disable trap potion is definitely a brilliant idea but it should be tinkered with a bit more.

I just got it today and I feel like I’m already addicted to it, but when I was downloading KingofThieves , I read some other reviews about it and it seems like people are disliking some changes you have made in the updates. I wondered what they meant so I read some other ones but almost every single one had at least 4 stars and one dislike on the review, so I hope you won’t change anymore, I’m asking you not to change anymore because I am really enjoying what the game is like. If you think that there is an uptake you think everyone else will like, I’m fine with you(the developer) making the update/change, I’m not saying you can’t make any type of update, it’s just that some of the people who play this game don’t really like some of the update you make. If you make an update, I will add if I like or dislike what you changed or added in on this review.

I got an ad about slot machines that had a theme of literally almost naked ladies. This game is for 9+ I’m pretty sure no parent want to let their kids see an ad about weird fantasy women with little to no clothing. Please fix this problem😕
Edit: I’ve only seen like two people with this problem and also some people hating this game for dumb reasons. 1- there would always be a player who steals your gem,so don’t get but hurt, also its the point of the game ( which makes me wonder how you didn’t see all the clues when you started to download this game)2- if you click on your character then click on that totem ritual, there is a potion that would decrease the chance of a player to steal your gem. So don’t say its the game’s fault,3- if the game is too hard to beat when use the potion that pops up on your screen.

This is one of my favorite games like in the world but there’s one problem. My dungeon is still like noob (even though I played this since I was like born) and that isn’t the issue. Like somebody else said they put me for dungeons my level but the defense is so high! And there’s also another but not the biggest problem. My gems always get stolen and when I or my teammates try to get it back it’s too hard! Can you put other people not with their same level but like same defense. And this is the last thing. Since my dungeon is super noob level I decided to get random traps. But they were like the noob pack! Can you guys please fix this and make it so random traps can be better leveled. If this sounds I like a load of problems and that I don’t like this game then it’s not that. This is my favorite game and I always play it in my spare time! Other then that thank you developers for make this game! It’s such a great game!

I started playing this game in 2015 or 2016 but I got so addicted to it after I got it. From the endless levels to the variety of players, this game is just amazing. I haven’t gotten that far in the game because of school and homework but, when I get the chance to play I stay on for an hour or so. One thing that I would like to have more of are the dungeons on the map. I have completed all 100 of the dungeons that are on the map and I would like if there were more. Also, I feel like players should get moved to higher levels after they beat a number of dungeons because I know of some players who gained the experience of a super high level but stay in a lower level to raid more dungeons (they do this intentionally) it’s a good way to get gems and money but it makes players feel unmotivated to play. But overall this game is great and I recommend it.
