This is the best reading app I have ever used. It is attached with WeChat so we could see other friends’ readings and share our point of views. It is kind of cool to have the reading rewards points and buy books with the points!

I also enjoyed reading with 微信读书 in three ways. First, it provides different background colors for your preferences. Second, it encourages you to build up your reading habits. Third, books are up to date and well organized.

Highly recommended for reading lovers!

I’ve been using it for long time and had enjoyed reading and listening while driving. But with the latest few updates, books had gone through heavy censorship. Characters are replaced by *s for some ridiculous reasons. For example, in Frank Kafka’s Castle(Chinese version), one sentence was read like the following “眼睛眉**刻不停地看着发生的一切”. It’s easy for Chinese people to understand what’s going on. The first character marked by * is “毛”, together with the character ahead it, “眉毛” means eyebrows and the second is “片”，together with the next character ”片刻” means moment．This should be the way and the only way to read it. However if a dumb people just falls in love only with these two censored characters, their meaning is adult video. To eliminate such a ridiculous possibility they have to be sacrificed. I’m not sure if this is violation of copyright but definitely a shame to Tecent.

For a long time I couldn’t find a reading app in Chinese that allows me to make notes and export highlights like Kindle, and Wechat Read does that and more. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the social features don’t overwhelm the essentially solitary experience of reading.
I would love it even more if they had more children’s books in their selection.

微信读书 is ok as an ebook reader. Its book store is good, with a huge collection of books. It is nice to offer a bunch of promotions and competitions to get free books or one-day-free pass, which is appealing. However, its bookshelf often categorizes the books in a wrong way. Some purchased books were put into unpurchased category. I don’t know whether it has been put in the wrong database or it is just a display mistake. I have the feeling that it overcharged my one-day passes when I read those titles.

The product managers have done a magnificent job.
To me, the only missing part is the e-ink device compatibility, even thou it has a dark theme. After a long day, I wish a kindle experience before bed instead of screens.

I love reading books. Originally, I brought books from stores and do the readings when I have time free, which burdened my backpack everyday. After using these App, I’m growing my interests on reading and enjoying more on digital books. There are many activities on 微信读书 to get free reading days and are very interesting. It really lightens my days. Thus, theres a five stars for wechat reads.

I love this reading app! I haven't read a book for fun for a long time! Since I got 微信读书 three days ago, I have read for many hours! It's convenient. Better than Kindle for you don't have to bring another device. And you can earn money through reading and buy books with the money you earn so you can read more! Excellent!

I have been following at least 3 books in the past year with the free cards. One day, for no reason, a message showed up saying that I have to pay in order to continue reading those books, and this is when I still have more than 300 free reading cards. Couldn’t reach any customer service person that would care to respond to my issue. I would definitely not pay for the membership as you never know when you will suddenly encounter some issues but no one can provide any support.

For books:
I’ve been using 微信读书 ever since I have to self-quarantine at home. It saves me from daily boredom and I start to love reading again!
For the design of 微信读书:
- variety: you can access to a tremendous amount of books that are written in Chinese, or translated from other languages into Chinese. For those translated books, you can even find at least 2-3 versions from various publishers.
- convenience: you can choose to read the books whenever you like, or if you prefer to listen, you can do audio books.
- cheap!! It rewards readers by giving free day passes! Who doesn’t love this?

One note for developers: when I listen to the books, when I re-open 微信读书 to resume listening, sometimes it will regress to an old position in the book but not the previously stopped position! I always have to click to read first then click to listen to make sure the reading will pick up at the right place to resume!

Currently, none of the reading app has the same interesting functions like this, such as reading the note of others directly, sharing the opinion with friends, and gifting the books to friends. I wish it would have more English books.

Extremely massive library including almost all the Chinese books you could possibily think of, fiction, non-fiction, and graohic novel for about $30 a year. You could even read everything for free by earning free daily passes.

This is such an awesome app and it has this great interactive system which you get to connect with other people who have been reading the same book but hold different ideas. I enjoy using 微信读书 and I use this everyday. 瞅啥啊 赶紧下载呗！

This is THE best book reading app ever I have been searching for! Really hope Tencent can continue Polish 微信读书! Now I am using it every single day. Many book selections and wonderful WeChat sharing feature. I just wish I can find more books on it! Great job!

Hey team, thanks for building out this great app. I have a few suggestions: 1. Can reading offline be counted in my weekly reading time? 2. Sometimes highlighting/adding comments when I’m reading in offline mode causes 微信读书 to crash. Any fixes for these?

It’s a very good book reader. There are lots of good books. And there are many gift coupons given to readers, such as 10 dollars reading bill every week, free membership etc.

On my iPad it sometimes crashes seconds after launch, crashes again after restarting 微信读书 , and starts to work normally on the third attempt. Don’t know if it’s an iOS 12 compatibility issue.

Though I have heard it years ago, I start to use it recently, it's very good, it makes me love to take notes during reading books, and I can make excerpt for sharing. I love it now, and I hope it can embody more books.

微信读书 not only has great UI and a variety of published books available, but also offers free "Dollars" for purchase the books! And the way to get free money is simply reading. I highly recommend 微信读书 to everyone. 超赞的读书体验而且还是免费...好照顾我们这些读书学生党，真的超棒！

Love it’s great number of book available and always has free reading days. I found so many smart, wise and rational people comment from its social function.

I’ve been reading through Wechat reading for more than a year, and the way it provides and drives me to read is exactly meeting my needs. I hope Tencent can continue to invest and develop 微信读书.

微信读书 is great, I especially like to listen to books when I’m driving or walking, looking forward to use it on Apple Watch too. Do you have a plan?

Overall good app, one suggestion, the reading progress should display on the icon it will be very useful feature.

Many books and very versatile.
You can read, listen and there is also night mode. When you listening to the book, you can set time to close.
