No audio interface

HyperionRemote lacks a lot of features for example a painting feature that you can “paint” your led strip individual colors like the Hue. It also does not have a audio interface which I had to install something other than Hyperion to have ( making me purchase another raspberry pi ) HyperionRemote is not worth it at the end with the basic effects. Wish it had more features and more support. Especially an audio interface react which is not hard to dev

Works great.

Lots of great features. Would be nice if there was an audio visualization feature.

Developer

Can you please add a one time purchase I really dislike subscription. Thanks

author crippled application

Bought app long time ago, developer instead of adding new options, start charging monthly fee for features that I had and he removed. Shame on you. Make something new or new app. 3 month premium is insult

Genial para jugar con leds

Tiene poca información sobre las acusaciones de pago.. Por lo demás una aplicación gratuita con muchas opciones.

Recent update unstable

I’m not sure what’s going but my servers keep clearing themselves from HyperionRemote on the newest update. A little annoying to have to keep adding my servers over again every time HyperionRemote closes.

Not intuitive

Prefer less in-app purchase requirements

Hi

So what does it mean by the “address” it’s confusing to me and I would like to know?

Add What Server?

Does not find bridge, no clue what server name to add. Thoughts or directions? Thanks

Works great!

One thing that would be even better is an off switch, as in end hypercon. I have lightberry and there's really no way to turn the thing off without powering down the pi.

Awesome app for my ambilight setup

I run Hyperion on my raspberry pi, which controls my ambilight setup for my TV. HyperionRemote is super awesome for letting me control the LEDs for light patterns, colors, or even turning the lights off. Excellent app!

Broken update

New update removed my notification widget and support for the Apple Watch app

Functional and Beautiful UI

Update version 2.0.2:

Scratch that last complaint- the bug has been fixed promptly. My thanks to the developer.

Update 01/2018:
The widget works again; however, the UI redesign has brought some clunky and annoying changes.

First and most troublesome, leaving and returning to the main screen (selecting any server or effect) turns on that server to the currently selected color/effect. (This is fixed now)

The old tabbed layout worked great. I feel that selecting different servers was faster that way, which was a real advantage for me, since I have multiple that I use daily. I'm not big on animations between pages or screens.

Another disadvantage is that there is one less space to save a color than there was before. Personally, I'd still like to see more, not less. Favorites for effects would be nice, but it's already easy to find effects, since there aren't too many.

I do like the way transformations are now a submenu of the server's page, as it didn't need to be a tab before. It only served me to help calibrate some pesky low quality LED strips that needed correction. The rest of the time, it was an accidental press, and I ended up temporarily resetting all my permanent transformations, requiring a server reboot. Mostly, it's when I give my phone to the kids to pick colors, and they tap over to it, wondering where the color wheel went, so seeing it less accessible is actually fine with me.

Overall, the redesign, while simpler, is buggy, and cumbersome to use. That aside, It's a lateral move, at best. That said, I still like it, and it's still deserving of the rating.

Update:
The notification widget no longer works. That was my preferred method of operation. It was quick. Now, it takes longer to have to unlock the phone, open HyperionRemote , and select the correct page, but it's still a great experience. Please fix!

Occasionally has issues connecting to server, but I am inclined to believe it's the server and not HyperionRemote .

Beautiful UI; works well. Only thing I'd like to see is more favorite slots for saved colors, as well as different sets of slots for different servers.

Overall, no complaints. Beats the Boblight iOS app by a mile.

Pro mode is worth the iap if you use more than 1 control method and want to set priorities (I use 3+ for one server; i.e., screen cap, then a touch panel on a wall, and at highest priority is my phone with HyperionRemote, so I can kill the lights as I leave).
