I have no idea who is giving the ratings for OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting, bc I have had it over a year and it truly is awful. It says “reconnecting” half of the time (for me AND my clients) and the other half you have to log out then uninstall and reinstall. Yes, that is what their customer support said the first of the many many many times it’s just stopped working. It’s terrible, save yourself the headache. The only reason why I’m still using it is bc I haven’t been able to have all of my clients download a different one yet.
This is the worst app I’ve ever used in my life!! If I could do negative stars I would. It is constantly needing to be reloaded onto my phone, or it just spins, or it simply freezes in OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting . It doesn’t remember your password (or blocks your phone from remembering it?) so you have to enter it every time which means it’s an easy to remember pw and defeats the security of it!! And when you are putting in your text, it doesn’t AutoCorrect your spelling!! So the only way to type a message quickly is to dictate it into the phone and then go back and check every word for spelling. It’s a colossal waste of time. The HIPAA compliance aspect of it is not worth the pain of OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting ! If you are a doctor do not use this for your patients and clients! If you actually want to communicate with your clients without an issue, pick another app!!
Many patients, including myself, have had to sign out, delete OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting , and redownload for OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting to even work. Similar to other reviewers, the OhMD app icon does not provide any visual cues that you have UNread/new messages. OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting does not spellcheck, and is a very bizarre typing experience—it’s not intuitive and it seems like the 1990s. Support is helpful, but the OhMD IT needs to get with it—we’re living in 2025, not 2000!
Been using OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting for over 3 years and other than occasional glitch, it was fine. As of several days ago, any messages after 10/26 are gone, from all providers. Also my provider’s current messages are not coming through as well. I’ve deleted and downloaded OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting , no change. This desperately needs an update!
I love the option to text with patients and have the information automatically become part of the record, but it’s easy to miss texts. OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting uses your default notification tone, without option to customize for OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting , and the notification is temporary, and no indication that you have an unread text if you didn’t hear or see it at the time it came in. For instance with regular text messaging on phone, the number of unread texts are displayed. I miss texts frequently if doing something else on my phone. It has been problematic.
Also, no ability to call directly from phone app, and phone number doesn’t display when using on phone.
I love OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting when it’s working. The program works fine for a day or two, then it stops allowing me into the texting field. I enter the correct email and password, it allows me in for about a second, then I get redirected back to the sign in page. After a frustrating 3 minutes of trying to sign in again, I decided to trash OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting and download it again from OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting Store. Magically, my email and password work flawlessly. OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting works well for another day or so. This could be such an awesome platform, if OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting was just more reliable. I’d pay for OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting for sure.
When I tried to get into OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting yesterday, I had to reset my password. Today it did not remember the password that I reset yesterday. So I created another password. It excepted the password, but then would not allow me to use it to log on. So I am currently in an endless loop where I cannot login to ohMD in order to get my text from the provider. Useless.
This was recommended to me by my doctor but since yesterday it’s been nothing be errors and aggravation. I still don’t have an account I can even get signed into and can’t even get chat help because its closed for the day I guess.
UPDATE:
The support was responsive the next day and got me up and running. I’ve not had any errors since and it’s great to stay in touch with the doctors office.
I really like OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting. It’s very easy to use. I wish they’d add fingerprint ID login, that’d just be a cherry on top. I had issues logging in about 20 minutes ago. I messaged them on their website and even though it said they were away until morning, someone responded and fixed the issue within minutes. I’m very impressed. Overall great app, very useful.
We can use OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting to communicate with our pediatrician! The most amazing way to get a quick opinion without having to drive all the way to their office or ER! So thankful for doctors that take their time to care for their patients even from outside their office. Love it! And truly appreciate our doctor !
Excellent texting app that keeps info confudential. Easy to use and a great way to contact the physician with questions. It is non invasive, meaning you can answer when convenient, which I think is helpful for the phhysicians and their asssitants. As a patient it is comforting to know I can get answers to questions without having to make an appointment and knowing that it is secure and confidential is also a comfort. I wish all doctors used this platform!
My doctor uses this for his patients and I had surgery a day ago and it has been so nice to be able to text my doctor and get a quick reply without having to go through a call system and transfers. For those of you that really keep attack of your information and HIPPA, OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting is the best for you. Personally, as long as the information doesn’t contain any personal information (social, phone, address, etc…) I don’t care who reads it as long as my personal information isn’t attached.
So I’m currently experiencing a stuck notification in OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting well A badge icon that will not go away even though I have no unread messages so there is a number one badge on OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting that will not go away so please help
My therapist and I have always had great text communication. Since she Began using oh Em Gee I am pleased with the privacy aspect and I’m also glad that this allows her to be more efficient and save time so she can help her patients because I enjoy working with her I know her time is valuable she helps me a lot thank you
We’ve been using OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting for inter-office HIPPA compliant messaging! We love the desktop feature and the ability to download all conversations into the patient’s chart.

I love using OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting to take to my doctor. I can quickly schedule appts & ask my doctors questions via messaging. It’s so easy to use and has all my medical records in one place
I contracted a bladder infection, had a few pills left but still had the symptoms over the weekend.. I sent her a note in OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting I was taking the last one this morning. She renewed my prescription and I do not have to go out in public with the Corona Virus.
My doctor recommended OhMDHIPAACompliantTexting and it is a far more timely means of sharing than the traditional portal that they have. I was even able to send pictures which allowed me to stay safely at home and still get treatment.
