The app and service I’ve always wanted!

I always seem to be late getting to the store to buy cards for family and friends on holidays and birthdays. I used to look for online services that would send a greeting card, not a digital or e-card, but an actual card but never found anything. Then one night I saw the genius who invented Felt on Shark Tank and thought, THATS IT!!!! The sharks were stupid, IMO, bc they rejected Felt, but I was on their site and had downloaded GreetingCardsandGifts before the show was over. I’ve used it 4 or 5 times now and won’t go back to the old way.
Felt has a wide variety of cards to choose from that are very nice, high quality and current on trends. The best part is you can also upload your own photos to send photo cards. Also you have the option of adding gifts, that start at $1 on up, to your card (bath bombs, chocolates, teas etc). You can even get confetti added inside the envelope (which I always do.) Additionally, you have the option to sign the card and address the envelope yourself in your own handwriting or enter text with the keyboard. After all that they even send the card with an actual pretty stamp on the envelope. Everything looks beautiful and people who are on the receiving end LOVE it!!!
Best and most useful app EVER.

Great Idea, slightly confusing interface

I love GreetingCardsandGifts and I already paid for the 1-year subscription, so keep this in mind when reading my review. I love the idea and just sent out my first card. I did, however, find the design process a bit confusing.

They use the term “FRONT” AND “BACK” to describe the card. This is confusing because most people think of a card as “OUTSIDE” and “INSIDE”. I think if they were to label each panel with “OUTSIDE FRONT” and “OUTSIDE BACK”. and “INSIDE LEFT” and “INSIDE RIGHT” it would make much more sense. They have a layout diagram, which kind of helped, but the labels in the diagram just didn't work for me. And the video with the person opening the card to show you what it will look like did so in a way that looked backward (the outside back of the card seemed to be the first thing you see), although perhaps in the country that these were designed, that’s how cards work, but in the USA we open cards with the fold or crease on the left, not on the right. All that said, it was fun creating my first card, just a bit confusing. I sent the first card to an address that I can retreive so once I see the finished product, I'll be able to work around the confusing interface. Seemed like an easy solution. Once they change the instructions interface, this will easily be a 5-Star review and I will change it.

Keeping in touch from around the world

I just wanted to drop a compliment to you all. Anytime I have an issue you always respond quickly and correct it. GreetingCardsandGifts is my lifeline between my family and our 93 year old grandmother who doesn’t use the internet. She doesn’t get out much and loves getting her Felt cards in the mail three times a month so she can stay updated on what her great grandchildren are doing. It makes her feel less lonely because she doesn’t get out much anymore. We live in Okinawa, Japan, while the rest of our family is in the United States. I have been able to send birthday cards with cash without having to deal with the post office or filling out customs forms. I’m just really grateful for GreetingCardsandGifts and how affordable it is to have the subscription. It has helped us stay close to our family and that is priceless. Thank you so much.

Update: Our grandma is about to be 95 and we still love using Felt to keep in touch. She loves getting her pictures in the mail and has hung all of them on her wall. She really looks forward to getting her Felt cards and I just can’t recommend GreetingCardsandGifts enough. It’s amazing.

Great idea, could use some tweaking.

The concept of GreetingCardsandGifts is wonderful! I signed up for the monthly subscription, excited to try it out! However, there are many improvements that need to be made. First of all, GreetingCardsandGifts is designed for an iPad and is very hard to use on a phone. The inability to rotate the screen to use vertically makes it incredibly difficult and uncomfortable to use on a phone screen, especially if you have small hands and can’t hold the phone and make alterations to small details at the same time. The concept of being able to use your own handwriting on the card is great, but the execution, again, is hard on a phone screen. The navigation around the card and envelope are difficult because you can’t zoom in and out freely and you are very constricted to their minimal editing options. The examples also had very cute designs on the envelope, which was one thing that drew me to signing up for a subscription. However, there is absolutely no option for adding decoration to the envelope at all.
GreetingCardsandGifts has the potential to be a game-changer for me and anyone who still appreciates sending and receiving cards in the mail. However, until they make changes to the interface, it is not user-friendly enough for me to continue paying for a subscription.

So much potential

Here’s the rub: I really like GreetingCardsandGifts and the way that they have set it up to work… You can use your own hand writing with an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro which is awesome! The only problem is, the “pen“ option that they give you is so fat it looks like you are writing with a fat Crayola marker. The resolution of the Apple Pencil is much much higher than GreetingCardsandGifts allows you to make use of which is a real pity…. The convenience of GreetingCardsandGifts and the very reasonable prices(!) make this an amazing combination… But until they allow you to have finer control over the hand writing (and by that I mean, finer tips) I will cease to use this anymore. My handwriting is relatively small and I would like to zoom out there writing surface and write in a smaller script which simply is not possible. Once they allow these two features, this will be my go to app without question. I should also mention that there palm rejection is absolutely terrible… Every time I set my hand down to begin writing, my pinky ads rogue lines and dots all over the card. They definitely need to add an option where if you have an Apple Pencil active it rejects all hand input when you are at the writing phase.

Where have you been all my life

So excited about GreetingCardsandGifts! I love sending cards, but my handwriting is awful! So this is perfect! I have used another site in the past, but they didn’t have a subscription service/option. So I love that about felt! The ease of adding pics is awesome too! Font options and the envelopes look cute on GreetingCardsandGifts , so I’m assuming they will in person too! Just downloaded it today and have already subscribed for a year and placed three card orders. I’ve even told two other people about it already! Especially during COVID, this is a huge win. I can let people know I’m thinking about them and I don’t even need to go to the store or post office. Also, I can have all the cards I need on hand all the time. So if something comes up, it only take a min or two to put together a meaningful and heart felt card! I also like that there are super sweet options as well as funny options as well. And I love that I can just open GreetingCardsandGifts and send a card or schedule it for later. LOVE IT!!!

A waste of money!

I thought this was a great idea, and ordered a subscription. I sent cards only one time. Although I had the correct mailing addresses, two of three cards came to me from the post office return to sender. I was able to see the poor quality of the card and envelope. I was very embarrassed that I had sent those to customers, thinking that they were going to be awesome. It was very hard to determine where to cancel GreetingCardsandGifts because it wasn’t with Apple store as other apps subscriptions are. After emailing them, I started searching in GreetingCardsandGifts and put a hold on my credit card. What a waste of money!

Response to the developer: The paper used to print the card was a lower bond than expected (not like a Hallmark card paper thickness nor quality). Further the paper seemed like a recycled paper, no finish or sheen making the card look very inexpensive. The ink printed on the paper was very faint. To be honest, I could have printed better quality on my HP Laserjet Printer.

**The envelope that was returned was not sealed. It had the correct address but still was returned to sender. And that was good thing, otherwise I would not have known the quality of what I was sending. I would have based my review only on my experience selecting the cards and the ease of sending a card to someone. But that isn’t the end goal is it?

Great app but doesn’t allow you to unsubscribe

First of all, felt is a great products in a very unique and thoughtful gift. I have been using it for years. I work as a senior technical consultant and I am always traveling so this gives me a way to send my pictures back home. What I subscribed to Felt plus several months ago and this is why I have left a 1 star rating. I’ve been through every screen in GreetingCardsandGifts , even going to the subscription page and it sends me through a loop back to the home screen each time I try to cancel my subscription. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application and have read everything within their help section. I’m doing exactly as I should but there’s actually no way to unsubscribe from we felt plus subscription unless you email the helpdesk directly. I have not had time to do this for several months or I just forget about it and then I get hit with another subscription fee even though I haven’t use it for 3 to 4 months. Unfortunately, this is left a bad taste in my mouth so I’m probably not use them again. I know the developer might write a response of us saying that I’m doing something wrong. But I’ll tell you right now, I am not. It’s a glitch that needs to be fixed or maybe it is working exactly as designed.

Felt won’t let me give it money.

I like Felt. But any time its servers are stressed (e.g., near holidays, when you need it most), at least half of all card designs are completely unviewable and stuck showing permanent loading indicators/spinning circles over blank card squares.

Given that there are only a few hundred total card designs, highly-compressed/low-quality images of each design should be available client-side and the high quality versions should only load on demand. You’d still have problems during high-traffic periods, but it’s far better to let people get some idea of what’s available (and at least let them create/save drafts) than to have half of the screen be *infinitely* blank loading circles, no?

I haven’t been coding much lately. Maybe I no longer know what I’m talking about. All I know is that I wanted to order a card today but GreetingCardsandGifts has made that impossible because half of my screen is filled with blank squares. I can not buy a card, as I do not even know what my options are. Hence, I simply have no choice but to avoid ordering today. I want to give Felt my money. It just won’t let me.

Favorite app of 2021

I have never wanted to write an app review so badly before. I cannot say enough amazing things about GreetingCardsandGifts! Felt has changed the way I interact with friends, my long distance boyfriend, family, and made it fun! I have always been so horrible at sending thank you cards or Christmas cards out like I should. I love the Felt Subscription, because it seems every month I always have a birthday or some holiday to send a card for! And If not, I love sending cards with pictures and designs to my friends. The great thing about GreetingCardsandGifts is that it’s so easy to use, adds creativity, and looks like real handwriting! There’s also an option to just type, which is great as well. You can save frequently used addresses too. And the cherry on top is easily adding photos from your phone with designs or filters. The photo cards can be framed or easily tacked to the wall or fridge. I LOVE GreetingCardsandGifts! Free download and the subscription is only $6 for 3 cards a month as of Jan 2022. Such a creative and fun app.

Great for sending cards with photos!

I’ve been using GreetingCardsandGifts off and on since the beginning of the pandemic. At first I got it because I didn’t want to physically go to a store and buy a card and then I got a subscription because it was so nice to be able to send my kids’ grandparents cards with pictures of the kids and send my friends cute pics of us together! My kids (11 and 5) also enjoy using it to make cards for their friends!

You can use any combination of your own pictures, handwritten notes, drawings, etc, and felt’s premade designs which are genuinely super cute and varied. With a subscription, if you don’t use any of your cards for that month you get credits in the amount of your monthly subscription cost. There was an error with my subscription and I wasn’t getting those credits, but that was easily remedied by customer service when I messaged them on instagram. They were super friendly and helpful!

Felt is great!

Super disappointed!

I wanted so badly to love GreetingCardsandGifts! We moved out of the country but I love snail mail and I was completely sold on this! The designs and cards are adorable! I am incredibly tech savvy and have had nothing but frustration. Each time I try to make a card, I end up spending an hour dealing with glitches and trying to figure out how to get around the glitches, including re-creating multiple times. I was so sold on the concept, that I purchased the year subscription. I contacted customer service to only get an automated response to shake the phone to report bugs. I just had to do that 3 times while making a card and taking 45 mins to deal with glitches. And after I “sent” the card- I went to preview it again and it had deleted a portion I had created....so I’m not even sure what ended up printing. When I shake the phone to make reports, I get zero response other than submission. I’m curious why to even bother? It truly makes me feel like the developers haven’t used their own app. This is not user error. I will be emailing and am super hopeful to get a refund. I hope all people read this before purchasing, and at the very least, give it a trial period or only pay for a month before committing to annual.

They’re so responsive!

Sometimes it’s all in the customer side of the service than the service itself. I was having a VERY small problem with GreetingCardsandGifts and they responded immediately. Instead of insisting that I was doing something wrong, or that GreetingCardsandGifts was performing perfectly, they promised to change it in an upcoming update. I appreciated this so much! In addition to the customer service, the actual service is SECOND TO NONE! It truly can’t be beat. I am now just WAITING for reasons to send cards. It’s different from the other card services. It feels so much more personal. And, the subscription? 😱🤯 Go look, please. I don’t think you will regret it! Update: They now have a feature to send cards as a group with others submitting cards and the cards going out all at the same time. It’s GREAT! Even months later, GreetingCardsandGifts doesn’t disappoint.

I like felt!

I like Felt! I’ve been sending greeting cards using their app for years! Just this past week they changed their app. Thank goodness. It really needed some renovation. I still wish they would have the writing area vertically. I don’t like writing horizontal on my phone.

Another reason I am giving them 3 stars is because this year they have messed up my cards being delivered a few times and some weren’t even during the holidays. I wish they had a phone support because waiting for someone to respond to your email takes a long time! They recently told me my email address didn’t exist. I was astonished. I haven’t changed anything with them. I hope they get it together soon because their cards are beautiful! I love sending greeting cards and the ease of using an app and my own pictures and writing in them is so much easier then going to the store and getting generic ones.

Your family and friends will love this little card. It’s small and fridge friendly! I always see my cards hung at their homes. Makes me happy!

Glitchy mess for years

I love the idea of GreetingCardsandGifts, the quality of the printed products is good, and the pricing is fair. However, GreetingCardsandGifts is a glitchy mess and has been for years. It doesn’t matter if you’re using an iPhone or an iPad, a finger or a pencil, new hardware or old hardware, GreetingCardsandGifts is a constant source of frustration. You’ll put 30 minutes into a card and then try to slightly move a photo and whole card gets ruined. And it’s easy to lose an in-draft card. Really, this is such a source of frustration. I wish the developer would sit down, actually use GreetingCardsandGifts , and see all the errors and fix them.

Also, if you sign up for a membership and don’t use the cards each month, the cards don’t roll over each month. Instead, “credits” get rolled over, and the credits are a rip-off. A monthly or annual membership becomes a source of stress, because you’re forced to use them by a certain date or your cards get transferred into crappy credits, and then when you do sit down to use GreetingCardsandGifts , you’re constantly frustrated by all the glitchy bugs and bad user interface.

Great Concept, Not Ready

I want to love this service. Great concept - personalized greeting cards, simple online ordering, cheaper than a retail card with a small percentage of the effort. The problem is execution. Ordered an anniversary card on 6/13 for 6/19 event; said it was mailed on 6/14 so thought I was in good shape. Still has not been delivered as of 7/6. Contacted customer support and they offered replacement instead of refund; while that was of limited value after the anniversary I said ok. Replacement mailed on 6/24 —— still not received as of 7/6.

At this point I don’t know if the problem is Felt, the USPS or something about how the handwritten address is displayed (I’ve never had a piece of mail not get to its hand written destination before), but my conclusion is that I can’t count on this service no matter how much I like the idea.

I’ve suggested that they just print and mail from regional centers to cut mailing time to 2 days and to reduce risk. I wish them the best and may try again in the future for something that doesn’t matter. But, just know you can’t count on a card arriving timely (or perhaps at all).

Very happy with our subscription

This is a great app. I’m so glad I bought the 1 year subscription. This month we sent three Mother’s Day cards with four frames each for five dollars total! It’s cheaper and much better than a store-bought card. My mom didn’t even realize we hadn’t written on the card by hand!

That said, there are a couple of things you should know. First, I have GreetingCardsandGifts on both my iPad and my iPhone. It really is best on iPad. Even better with an Apple Pencil (no Apple Pencil specific functionality, but it makes for much more realistic handwriting).

Second, editing options are a bit limited for my taste. The backs of cards can only contain hand-written text. You can’t place typed text in a text box in a specific place on the frame, which is too bad. I would prefer to be able to add multiple pictures to a frame and be able to resize and rotate individual images on the frame.

Other features I really like include birthday notifications, hand-written (looking) envelope addresses, and delayed sending. Also like that if I don’t use any cards in a month, the value of the month is converted to credits. It would be nice if I could store multiple versions of my return address (especially for when sending to other countries).

Overall, I’m very satisfied with GreetingCardsandGifts and my subscription. My family and friends really going to enjoy these cards! Addressing some of the limitations above would bring on the final star.

This app is a frustrating mess

This used to be one of my favorite apps, and I’ve been seriously dependent on it for about 2 years. I used to email them all the time telling them how much I loved it and how great it was.

Now it BARELY works. For two months I was paying the subscription but could not ever check out with my order. Now I cannot even get to check out, because either the card won’t load once it’s created, or I can’t even LOG IN to my account in the first place to create anything. It’s totally absurd, and there is virtually no customer service to help with any of this (it took me weeks to get a response last time I tried, and I had to keep following up). I’ve downloaded and deleted and redownloaded GreetingCardsandGifts , I’ve created new accounts when I was told the glitch was with my account, I’ve done every single update they make, I’ve tried to use GreetingCardsandGifts on different devices. Nothing fixes the issues.

It’s a shame because I really loved this service and used it constantly, and now it literally barely functions, while taking my money. Don’t bother with this and find some other alternative... at least until they fix their mess.

Great concept needs work

This could be amazing, they are just not there yet. Customer service needs help too. There is a glitch with my address and customer service was not at all helpful. I contacted a different team per their instructions to get help with a glitch in my address and it’s still not fixed. It will still send my cards but my return address is wrong. Also they have many borders and things that are preset in white lettering that doesn’t show up on the white background. You can’t change the color of either so they are basically useless. Also every time you fill out text you have to make a font selection. If you want to write on the next page you have to enter your font and size in every new field it won’t remember anything you’ve set in the same card. There are several other little nuances you’ll find as you navigate that could be improved. Also GreetingCardsandGifts tends to just randomly shut down in mid use. I wish they could get it together because it’s a fantastic concept.

My new favorite app

I am so in love with GreetingCardsandGifts!!! Thank you for giving me a solution for a problem i didn’t know I had! I have family out of town, and even with family that is close by, I always feel guilty when birthdays and holidays pass and all they get from me is a post on Facebook. I’ve always wanted to be the kind of person who sends cards in the mail, there is nothing better than receiving one, it brings so much joy! I’m so excited to send cards for every occasion and not feel guilty about letting time get away from me as going to the post office drops further down on my to do list. As long as GreetingCardsandGifts exists you have a loyal customer! I sent an anniversary card to my parents and they were shocked to learn that it wasn’t hand written, the text doesn’t look printed at all! Beautiful, seamless cards that are personal. I couldn’t be happier.

Bridging old-fashioned etiquette and new technology

Felt Cards makes it easy to send proper, paper greetings and thank- yous via US Post.

Felt offers a wide selection of well-designed cards for most occasions. Cards can be personalized with your own message, even in your own handwriting. You can even send a card wIth one of your own photos.

Basic cards are two-sides, with design on front and message on back, though customers may order cards with up to four panels.

Most basic cards are $4 USD post-paid, and, in my experience, generally arrive at destination within a week of placing the order.

GreetingCardsandGifts is generally easy to use, though I have had the experience, more than once, of having my text disappear. This has only occurred when I’m hand writing a message and the heel of my hand hits something on the lower right side of the screen. There is, to my knowledge, no user guide for GreetingCardsandGifts ; the FAQ section of the the website was no help on this issue. I was unable, on any of these occasions, to recover my text, and, in each case, I abandoned my attempt to hand write my note and typed it in instead.

Overall, the ability to send well-designed, personalized thank-yous, birthday wishes, sympathy notes, and other greetings without a special trip to a card store or the Post Office makes GreetingCardsandGifts essential for anyone raised in the shadow of Emily Post and all Southerners living in the digital age.

What a great app!

I can’t ever get credit for being thoughtful because all I ever do is think about it and never get that card in the mail!!! This is what makes Felt the best ever. I “don’t “feel the love “ when I get those clever “e cards” with their music and moving graphics and half the time they get deleted as junk.

Felt is the way to go. The convenience of an “e-card” but the personalization of my own photo paired with my own hand writing- even on the envelope. And the recipient gets a hands own personally addressed top quality card. I can’t say enough about how easy GreetingCardsandGifts is to use. Just follow the prompts. I had to work a little with the spacing but the double arrow works like a mouse moving your cursor. Who can buy a card AND mail it for $4.00 (less if you buy a package) and stamp included. Sorry Hallmark and E-cards, FELT IS THE WAY TO GO!!

Great App for Becoming More Thoughtful

If you want to become a kinder or more considerate person, GreetingCardsandGifts is a great way to make that happen. In the past, I would be deterred by tasks such as going to the post office, finding a stamp (who has those anymore?), finding a suitable card and envelope, and actually mailing the darn card. Now I can just write a card whenever and wherever I want--and it looks like I wrote it. You can even put pictures from your photo library on the front of the card and write cute messages on top of the pictures--that's how customizable GreetingCardsandGifts is.

Everyone who has received one of these cards has said they love and appreciate them--one friend even said she almost cried when receiving one. That is the power of GreetingCardsandGifts--making it easy to send heartfelt, handwritten appreciation, one card at a time.

Impressive quality; simple interface; handwritten notes without going to the post office!

I was skeptical at first but I had a trial offer so I gave Felt a try. The interface was extremely easy and user friendly. I was able to hand write a card using my finger on my iPhone (and plan to try using my Apple Pencil and iPad next) — to astonishing quality...at least it looked that way in GreetingCardsandGifts . So I ordered the card.

It took about four days to get a “sent” notification and another four business days for my wife to receive the card (I hope they are able to shorten the time for us procrastinators!)...BUT, the card looks amazingly good — the “handwriting” looked real on both the card and envelope. I tried different ink colors and, to my surprise, all looked great.

I can’t wait to order my next cards!

Felt-A new way to love

The Felt app brings a lot to the table for only a few dollars. It revitalizes an old trademark way of saying thanks or I love you (the common card) into a much more personalized and easy to use app. From sending flowers to making an ornament, Felt makes it easy. Not only that, but if you want an even more personalized card for whom it may concern, the option to write on the device screen with your own hand is always available. I downloaded GreetingCardsandGifts thinking that I would just see what it’s about and possibly make a designed card for my family. Well now I’m keeping GreetingCardsandGifts forever. It means so much to me. It helped me get into the spirit when a lot of other stressful issues in my life were holding me back. Bottom line:Felt is an ESSENTIAL APPLICATION.

I love this app!

I found out about GreetingCardsandGifts on Shark Tank a few years ago and have used it a few times since. I am a college student so it is way more convenient than going to the store and buying a $10 hallmark card, writing on it, finding stamps at the bottom of my desk drawer, and driving to the post office. I love how it is customizable and so easy to use! I also love the new idea of adding gifts to your card, however they are a bit expensive so I haven't used this feature. I can say for certain that the times I have used Felt, the people who have received them display them in their homes. They love them! They are more heartfelt then ones you buy in the store! 10/10 would recommend! The reason that I only put 4/5 stars is because it usually crashes when you first open GreetingCardsandGifts . It only does it once though.

Amazing app and service for the cost

I was skeptical when I received a free trial card, but Felt is actually amazing. After my free card, I have come back time and time again to schedule custom cards. I love that I can schedule them in advance and forget about it. That way I don’t forget about peoples birthday’s. The cost is perfect too, just low enough that I would rather buy these than go to the dollar store and find a crappy one. By the end of it all Felt cards are just way better. GreetingCardsandGifts is great too. The only frustrating thing is when you are working on the top line on an IPhone it swipes the notifications down sometimes instead of writing the letter you intended to. But, that isn’t really avoidable on Felt’s end of things.

Perfect for busy people - if it works

Its a different app. It is not reliable. It looks good has lost some functionality and performs terribly during major holidays where you want to send a card. Mother’s Day I could not save or send a car for 2 hours and had to try the next day with multiple failures still. Now Father’s Day and I cannot pay. I am going to try a different app now. I loved GreetingCardsandGifts but they are not investing in reliability which is only reason to keep coming back or not.

Original view when reliability was there:
I work and commute 6am-6pm daily and this saves me time and seem better in many ways. I love it! I read other people criticizing the print quality but I assure you it is great! My family thought I hand wrote it myself when I first sent it. These are very personal and give a lot of love to those whom you send then too. They are constantly making improvements and I look forward to using them for years to come.

The format of print is photo on one side and message on back of photo. If you send multiple, they are connected. Beautiful to place on a self and then pick up to read the message on the back when you want.

Perfectly quick easy fun creative card app with good price point

... and the support team is responsive to recommendations for improvements. OK, I can think of only one: I’m a sucker for design and for options for symmetry. So, for example, when making a three panel card, with a photo of the anniversary couple in the middle, I thought it would be sweet to have two bicycles facing each other. It’s the kind of thing I used to do when I would print my own cards using a printing design app resident on my computer. But the printing quality on that one coming out of my ink jet just doesn’t compare to Felt. And, from what I understand, Felt is on it! I look forward to even more beauty and variety coming from the development team.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I have literally never left a review before in GreetingCardsandGifts store, but GreetingCardsandGifts is just so great. It’s so easy to quickly send a thank you note or any other type of greeting card. I love that you can add pictures to make it more customizable. I just showed it to my cousin in Alaska who would normally have to go to the store, buy the card, go to the post office, and finally mail off the card. She loves it now too! For me it’s only ever been $4 to mail a card!! At the store sometimes you can’t even buy the card for $4, and it never truly says what I want it to. My only complaint is that it automatically turns to the side version view when writing the card and it’s a little difficult to maneuver, but besides that I love it so much!
