PDF Reader Pro – Lite Edition Reviews

I can’t believe I purchased the permanent version on my MacBook and you want me to buy a separate license for my iPad as well. You’re the first app I have had this issue with.
I would like a refund right now if possible.
It’s a total waste of money if I have to pay for separate licenses across me devices.

I really wanted to like PDFReaderPro, and I even paid for the premium license. But nothing seems to work properly—it keeps saying that I need to re-purchase the paid edition (even though I have a receipt from the first time I paid for it. At $25, it’s pretty steep!). I have been around in circles with customer service, which keeps repeating the same directions that don’t work. I wish there were a way to get my money back, as I have lost countless hours on what appears to be a buggy version of PDFReaderPro.

Love the free app so much that I paid for the full PDF Reader Pro for my Mac OS expecting that I would be able to use that purchase across all my Apple platforms (IPhone and IPad). I was very disappointed to find out that PDF technologies has a ‘different’ version for IOS and they want me to pay again. Not how the Apple ecosystem is supposed to work. I will likely find another PDF editor rather than pay twice.

... You can’t save more than 10 files or create flattened PDFs unless you buy the $20 Pro Edition. And if you can’t make a flattened PDF, you can’t actually share one with any markup on it, so the Lite version’s totally useless for me.

I got PDFReaderPro because I wanted a free PDF reader to do some annotations/edits on the book I'm writing, but my iPad is pretty old. It only runs iOS 9.35, so I can't get most apps on it, but this one works! It crashed on me a few times early on, and thee first time it lost all my annotations, but it's been good ever since. Would definitely recommend PDFReaderPro.

I love this PDF reader and I would recommend it to everyone. One thing I that’s missing which is really important to me when I annotate is an undo/redo button. Even just an undo button would be enough, then this will be the perfect app.

I have been looking for an app to use office generated fillable PDFs on my iPad without much luck, the ones I found only sort of worked. I found it easier to just use notes, far from an ideal solution but more functional than any apps I found. Started looking seriously again and found the one that works very well.

I am often reading my textbooks on the go or in between classes, and let me tell you- it is so much better than the applications I can find on my computer. I upload 500 page pdfs into this and it loads just about as fast as a 1 page pdf (only takes a few seconds).
I normally take notes and highlight the same as I would with a paper-back, which seems to be a difficult task for all the PDF editors I can find on my computer. Soon after getting the free version I upgraded to the pro version of PDFReaderPro and haven’t had to switch it since.

Two suggestions:
1. While the pens and highlighters in PDFReaderPro get pretty small, occasionally I will have a document that needs an especially small pen.
2. Add a continuous display option that takes out the space between pages (as opposed to the one page, two page, and book mode options). Some of my textbooks cut off the top and bottom halves of words at the ends of each “page.”

Beside that it is free, there are multitude of features that I like about this product; such as (1) It allows you to highlight or underline part of the text, (2) After you close PDFReaderPro , turn off you tablet and return to read more later, it remembers where you left off and open at the right section for you. Unlike other app, once you close it and open it again, it always starts from the first page.

The best feature I liked was being at the same spot in a file as when it was last accessed. Other apps always opened the file at the first page and in a 300 page that was a pain.

I tried the free version of PDFReaderPro on my iPad about a month ago. I found it very convenient for my academic work, easy and clear in writing notes and bookmarks. That's why I'm really looking forward to moving to the pro version. I've tried it on the mac and it was very good.

PDF Reader Pro provides a great alternative to the other ‘premium’ product on the market in terms of its quality and functionality. It executes on command and its straightforward use, makes its relatively simple to navigate. I would highly recommend this product. Thanks J

I haven’t used this to edit PDFs, but I have it on my tablet and it is wonderful to have somewhere to open and save the files on an iPad. I use it for crochet patterns and i can use the pattern offline which is much easier than always being connected. It does have a limit of 10 files on the free version, which is reasonable.

Appears to do what it advertises. Allows me to edit .pdf without the need of a subscription since it offers one time purchases. I do not like how everything is subscription based now; that is costly to someone who only needs an every now and then use. Customer support responded in less than 24hrs when assistance was needed.

I am looking for an apps that's cheaper than Adobe Acrobat, that has same functionality. I first got to try Mac version and I like it. I am happy to know they also have ios version for iPad. During few days of trying the lite version, I am incline to go for PRO version to unlock other functionality. It's really the only apps you ever need for PDF.

This is a fantastic app! I’ve been using PDFReaderPro for about six months and to date it has performed flawlessly. I really don’t like writing reviews for apps because it’s so subjective BUT, this is another app that absolutely hit it out of the park! Flawless performance! I even subscribed to the advanced package (unheard of!)! If all our apps were as flawless as this one, my digital life work by far be more organized! Thank you!

I have been very impressed by this product so far. I bought it along with my iPad as a way to read and annotate articles in my PhD program and it has worked seamlessly. The customer service has really impressed me with their speedy response and great attitude!

I would definitely recommend PDFReaderPro for anyone needing to annotate PDFs and store them in a centralized location.

As a free app, it gets the job done. But sometimes (very frequently) PDFReaderPro crashes and you'd lose everything after the last time you'd saved

First time to rate an App. Overall, this is good app to read and edit pdf and word. And it’s free. Only thing I feel annoyed is the ad.
