It’s essentially impossible to be up o ur winnings with your bonus money cuz you can’t use it until your balance is zero, first time I didn’t know that I thought it was an incentive to get u to deposit for deposit match bonuses up to 250 plus 20 bonus for signing up and some other codes I had , well added 25 real money and won a 5 dollar game and had $70 real money now in balance and panicked and withdrew it (horrible system there didn’t work with PayPal, and takes too long on other options with too much info required they definitely don’t need..sketchy) anyways I withdrew my $70 real money in a panick cuz I wanted to see what PALotteryOfficialApp was all about ..good for second chance entries, but when I withdrew all $70 real balance I lost my 45 bonus money and the chat lady said in order to use that money I need a negative balance so to make money off that after withdrawing money you should really (If ur not betting or playing for much) take out all ur money except 5-10 bucks and try to win with that repeat the cycle if you win and if u loose the use ur bonus money until u loose all that.. increases ur odds of never loosing if ur lucky enough to win the first time which In sure it’s somehow rigged to make u win to get u addicted.

I have been using PALotteryOfficialApp for well over a year. I use it for checking my tickets, second chance drawings, buying Power Ball tickets, and playing iLottery. Yes, creating an account for iLottery takes some time and you do have to provide very personal information. Before you yell from the mountain tops about the PA Lottery not needing this kind of information, just keep in mind that this is gambling with the potential for big winnings which requires IRS notification. (At this point I have won more than I have lost.)

The only downfalls are:
- The waiting time for a withdrawal (increased time right now which is understandable).
- PALotteryOfficialApp needs to be closed and reopened when switching from landscape to portrait in iLottery. - The chat feature does not work for customer service, but they do respond to the emails in a timely fashion.

I like the concept of PALotteryOfficialApp. The problem is half the time it does not work properly. I want to use it to purchase tickets for Draw games, it seemed to work fine last week but this week it keeps locking up. Once you purchase your tickets, it won’t always pull your tickets up so you can see them. I just purchased more tickets for the next Power Ball drawing and tickets for the cash 4 life drawings. The money was removed from my account but it only shows the power ball tickets , not the other tickets I just paid for. It also seems if you take to long ( meaning just a minute or so) it will kick you out and you have to log back in again. Trying to even figure out how the scratcher games work is a nightmare. If you click on one to see the sample game, most of the time it locks up. It is all super frustrating, but I am holding out hope that they get the glitches worked out.

I made a small deposit to try out the new games. When I went to go confirm everything, it gives me an error message. Then, I see the charge appear on my credit card. I had to reach out to support twice. The first time I told Liz L. about the situation and she had to reach out to the payments department. Wait for a few minutes then as she was responding to me, it mysteriously logged me completely out and kicked me out of the chat. I then had to send them another message and retell them the story to Alexis D. She told me that I would need to call them after 9am to fix it. I was livid. You stole my money and are not even going to put a support ticket in? I’m a Director of Customer Service and I cannot believe this horrible app and customer service. Neither seemed to really care. And I did not try to deposit anything else as the same error might occur. I wanted to have a quick fun gambling session but it was completely ruined by your technical issues and unhelpful Live Chat agents. I’ll stop using iLottery and will delete PALotteryOfficialApp once I get my money back.

UPDATE: I followed the suggestion of another reviewer to delete, download and reinstall PALotteryOfficialApp -- it now works, at least the two functions that I use. Why Scientific Games (the subcontractor who developed and maintains PALotteryOfficialApp for the PA Lottery Dept) updated PALotteryOfficialApp Store version, but haven't released it to all current users is very poor!

Original comment: PALotteryOfficialApp used to work fine for me-- used it for a couple of years now, mostly to scan-check a set of tickets, or to do scan entries of a pile of tickets into the Second Chance Drawings. Now it immediately crashes upon loading PALotteryOfficialApp -- green and white splash screen displays for not even a second, then app closes. I'm stuck on iOS 8.x (the last version Apple has released for older iPad 2s). At first thought that might be the issue, but I see from other reviews that many other people with newer iOS devices are having the same problem. DEVELOPERS (Scientific Games, not the PA State)-- GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER-- NEED TO DO MUCH BETTER TESTING BEFORE RELEASING UPDATES !!

After being a loyal customer since PALotteryOfficialApp came out customer support said they were “sorry” after I won 1,000 dollars but when going to withdrawal the money just disappeared. The transaction history also disappeared. I won 1,000 finally after all the money I spent on pa lottery and they are just really sorry. The support was unprofessional and robotic and have no compassion for people. I’m outraged by this incident and the fact that if you have an issue depositing they do whatever takes to get your money but when their site messes up as it did the entire day and you win they are just sorry. Every time I reached out to customer service I was kicked out of PALotteryOfficialApp . It wasn’t a connection issue because I play it all the time from the same place. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to play here because you will never win and if you possibly do there’s a large chance of something like this happening

What I thought was going to be a easy process was not. I simply downloaded PALotteryOfficialApp and tried to set up my account information. I could not move further with the process due to the inconvenience of PALotteryOfficialApp crashing. Also I tried multiple time to connect with the customer support “chat” which is used by a service called “zix” that continuously crashed. The process was not easy nor user friendly. I would suggest connecting with your devs and zix to correct this issue. I am a brand new user and was not able to access your app “first day first time ever using PALotteryOfficialApp ” needless to say I provided the necessary information and have not had any Communication with customer support. No call backs no follow up email nothing. This does not make me feel secure knowing PALotteryOfficialApp require personal information such as your “state ID and SSN”. People who are not tech savvy are going to have a very hard time using PALotteryOfficialApp.

App works great, use it all the time and never had a problem. Before you cry it’s a crap app maybe you should check your crapy devices. For all the one star reviews about hackers and personal information
Developers could care less about getting your personal information for hacking you,
Pretty soon all apps are going to want some personal information to protect themselves from being hacked because as far as they know you’re a hacker so if you don’t like it don’t download PALotteryOfficialApp , get use to it, it’s called the future. No one will never be safe from being hacked.
If you don’t have a cheap device Or crapy connection i would recommend PALotteryOfficialApp, works great. Just got done using it before I wrote this review, still working 👍🏻 great.

I downloaded PALotteryOfficialApp and played it despite the fact that PALotteryOfficialApp would shut down frequently or would not load correctly when maneuvering between games. Three weeks ago I was playing a game and PALotteryOfficialApp shut me out. When I logged back in I was missing $20 ($13 cash and $7 bonus). Apparently when it kicked me out it placed a $20 bet for me (they’re “investigating” and called it humor error). I never once place a bet over .50 other than for draw games so on history alone and the fact that I used the system often, I would have expected a refund and apology. Instead I was told they’d investigate it but I likely wouldn’t see my money and they made me go back into the game and play the game through on a bet I never placed (surprise surprise not a win). If you must gamble, go to the store and get your ticket. This was a waste.

Scanned a ticket and lost so I hit enter second drawing and now takes me to the home screen and I have to click second chance entry again instead of going right to the already filled in second entry numbers and hit submit. Its wants me now to log into my vip account which i forgot the password because the old app kept me logged in so I hit forgot password and it takes me to a get a free download screen. No key to cancel a free download so I hit the bars on the top left and takes me a chat with a service rep. I least I got a laugh from that. Can’t get a PA rep to answer a phone but they will answer a chat- yeah right. Uselesssss. Not even sure I trust this thing scanned my ticket correctly now. Will check my tickets again at the store and delete PALotteryOfficialApp . Also can’t type a nickname because they are all taken because no one wants to type in a nickname and tried to put all 1’s or aaaa, etc and they are all taken

Bonus money is nice but it’s just a gimmick. You have a better chance of catching lightning in a bottle than winning a few dollars (< $5) with bonus money. Increase your bets you say? You'll just watch the bonus money burn faster. Honestly folks you’re better off playing blackjack against a card counter. Go light your money on fire, you’ll probably get more enjoyment out of it. I know it’s gambling, but less than $5 in wins on $100 spent. I like playing but this is by far the worst gambling experience I’ve ever encountered. And don’t even get me started on PALotteryOfficialApp ’s UI. Terrible with a capital ‘T’!
The house will always have the odds in their favor, but I wouldn’t be surprised if these odds are 90:10 or even 95:5. Had a lengthy run of $40 spent and not a single cent in wins. I guess the PA Lottery needed paid this week.

This is gambling. They’re in the business to make money. There’s no doubt on that and what we decide to give is on us. I recently closed my account.

I’ve been playing for about 4 years (slot games). It took me about 3 years to finally hit a significant amount. Usually you put money in, get some here or there, sometimes get like $100 or something. But the last 3 months there has just been NOTHING. Turn after turn of just no winning. On one of the newest games I hit the Free Games 2 times. I won 5 free games and I’m 100% sure both rounds of the 5 free games were the exact same 5 grids - so it is not random. I think they lowered the amount of winning grids to lower the odds of winning anything - even pithy $1 wins. It was $20 after $20 deposits of just not hitting anything.

I guess the government of Pennsylvania doesn’t believe that blind people or those who are visually impaired! Has enough intelligence to play the lottery. They’re like everyone else out there. When they make an app they do not consider those who are blind or visually impaired. I guess they think because their eyes do not work that we’re stupid and retarded. And leftover garbage! If they did not think that vendor apps would work on Apple products for those who are blind or visually impaired that use voiceover. They are just as bad as all other corporations out there or developers who do not consider those who are blind or visually impaired. I give this thumbs down 100% as I do not recommend it for anyone who is blind or visually impaired. A app that is made poorly as a bad app and not a good rap for the government or any corporation or app developers.

PALotteryOfficialApp makes things very convenient for its users. Especially with the second chance feature of PALotteryOfficialApp . All I have to do is scan an eligible ticket, check off that I don’t work for the Pennsylvania Lottery or Scientific Games and submit the entry. It’s also beneficial for checking to see if a ticket is a winner or not. On top of that, PALotteryOfficialApp allows you to stay logged into the Second Chance option on PALotteryOfficialApp through your VIP account for a decent amount of time too.

Overall, I would recommend the use of PALotteryOfficialApp because it makes things very efficient for any user.

I joined back in November. I got my iplay card so I could gain any winnings instantly like it advertised. I withdrew winnings then figured I could use the discover card to get gas no money on it. I called iplay and they stated I only have instant access when Pa releases it. They also stated that Pa was the worst at doing this. So I cancelled the withdrawal and made a paypal deposit to activate it cause that also claimed i would get instant access to winnings. Well that didn’t work. So I called to complain and stated that having Such a drawn out
Withdrawal process Would entice him Cancel the withdrawal and gamble away their winnings.
Well that was a mistake Because then they blamed me for Having a Gambling problem. I was permanently And my vip was banned also so now I can’t even enter second chance drawings. I am going to my state senator and representatives about this.

Back when I first started using the iLottery portion of PALotteryOfficialApp, it was great. I was winning good money and even when I lost money, I knew it was my fault for not cashing out sooner. Now, you barely win anything but cents at a time. Also, "randomly" as the chat agents called it; the game would reload as I was winning and knock me out of the game. When I went back in, I wouldn't win a cent. It's happened numerous times. That's not random. Don't even bother with the chat agents. They're super slow at replying, and thats if they even reply at all. They definitely don't help with anything. They me "that's the risk you're taking with gambling." I would accept that if I wasn't using PALotteryOfficialApp from the beginning and know what it's turned into. An actual scam just to get your money.

This is a waste of time and money. You barely ever win and if you do it takes forever to get your money. It been well over the 72 hours that is supposedly the time frame to get your winnings and yet I still haven’t received mine. When you speak with their reps they just say “I’m sorry, keep waiting”. Requests for supervisors is never answered. Your online chats freeze and you have to uninstall and reinstall PALotteryOfficialApp . Utter waste of time. When I asked how it was they can take my money immediately but can’t provide my measly winnings after 72 hours they told me that deposits are automated and Withdrawls are manual. But unfortunately the distribution department is aware of my issue but their dealing with a “situation”. 24 hours later they must still be dealing with the situation because nothing has happened with my account

Ok let me start off by saying PALotteryOfficialApp is ok however there is a lot of things that are in question like why if I’m spending my money to play an let’s say the games I’m play the bet is 3 dollars bet there are ten lines so the total bet is 30 dollars if I’m spending 30 dollars to play I want to at least win the money I bet or more not bet 30 to win 6 or 10 etc like that is a ripoff for real pa lottery trust have enough money to make a million of these app so please update this and STOP ripping pa customers off if I could have gave PALotteryOfficialApp or any app a 0 I would have if you gonna treat this like the real lottery scratch offs then do it right thank you and God Bless

PALotteryOfficialApp is so outdated and if you try to play their online lottery, they just steal your money. Besides having very limited ways of cashing out, PALotteryOfficialApp crashes a lot during live play and takes your bet without the gameplay being completed. I’ve had over $20 taken during crashes on their games even though I had winning symbols but since it crashed it takes the winnings and the bet amount played. I understand that it’s gambling but when it unfairly crashes the game during live bets makes it seem like they’re just trying to take peoples money since it’s a failed project from PA lottery just like their derby/keno and fake sports betting. Maybe work on updating PALotteryOfficialApp and system and maybe more people would be willing to try it out.

There's a reason the lottery is called a tax on stupid people. Maybe I'm getting dumber since I tried to redeem a supposed five dollars in free play and could not even get that far. I was not able to login to PALotteryOfficialApp because I kept getting an EH400 error. But I can login to the website just fine using the same credentials. I tried the customer support chat, and they asked for the answers to my two personal security questions. That was totally unnecessary, and is poor security practice. These questions are used to recover accounts and should never be revealed to another person. Customer support could not tell me what the error message meant. The support chat kept duplicating what I already typed, so it doesn't even work correctly. Complete waste of time. Be warned, and don't waste your money.

...but not any more in the past 2-3 weeks since you added the iLottery game. I can no longer scan any of my machine game tickets (i.e.: Cash 5, Match 6, Powerball, MegaMillion), even though I have the latest app version on each of my 3 devices (an iPhone and two iPads) - I log on with my email and password and get various errors. Here is just one example: "SUP_START_PTA_PROCESSING_ERROR" . And if I try to manually enter the ticket numbers then click SUBMIT using a web browser on my laptop or desktop systems, IT DOESN'T load to tell me if my entry was actually accepted. If I try again, same thing happens, but tells me it will lock me out after 6 tries because I already entered.
WHAT did you do to PALotteryOfficialApp and website? I never had a problem ever with PALotteryOfficialApp or website, and now, that is all I have!!
