Suddenly, my stations on my favorites or other do not have audio output. It shows "playing"..but is not working. Is this because the app wants payment for the non-ad streaming?

I use ipad air4th generation. Since the last update (2022 march 27th.) the app always says- station not available” no matter which station i wanna tune in.
When I go to the home screen while listening to a radio station on simple radio, the radio sound cuts off. It didn’t used to do that. When I tap the simple radio app, the sound resumes. However, I would like to access other apps while listening to simple radio. Thanks.
