Honestly the title says it all. I love what service they provide, but the User Interface is terrible. For example, not being able to use the map to find routes on an iPhone but having it on an iPad is just lazy coding. They have the feature, but don’t make it possible on the iPhone.

Another frustration is picking routes. Many routes have similar (or the same exact) routes and picking the right one can be difficult on the map (which isn’t on the iPhone as mentioned above).

Not being able to filter routes by those that have video (or any other feature you want) is just ridiculous to not have in 2019.

Also why is the iPad version so ridiculous with the HUGE information panel on the left that covers up part of the video. I love the iPhone layout while actually riding. Minimalistic and unobtrusive while providing exactly the information you need right here and now.

If you set up right RouvyWorkouts will work and the fun is endless. Had to buy a Bluetooth HRM so to pair with app. I’ve been training for 2 weeks and already feeling the power rising lol. There’s no sound so choose your music on the side. I tried using iPad with Apple TV and it’s cool that it splits, you get the map on iPad and reality on TV.
I’m using a Bluetooth smart trainer and works for me.
It’s freezing these days in NJ and I’m a proud parent so to be able to train hard at home like this it’s amazing.

Recently purchased a Smart Trainer - Wahoo Kickr Snap. Tried Zwift but not a fan of Virtual Reality. Rouvy uses Augmented Reality. I love riding Real Routes against other riders. I have even loaded my own routes. Never before have I been able to train indoors for much more than a half hour. Now I can ride up to 2 hours. Highly recommend it.

I joined rouvy primarily to get the video feedback while riding indoor on my cycleops hammer smart trainer. The problem was that the video would disappear after a few minutes of riding and I was stuck staring at a map of my progress. The rouvy support asked me several questions but could never offer a solution or explanation. It happened whether I was live streaming or if I downloaded a route. I would have loved RouvyWorkouts if it worked correctly.

RouvyWorkouts seems like it needs about 100 bug fixes and then could work good. The concept is good but when I log in it says there is an error yet lets me see my account. Try to look at routes and it won’t let me zoom in on the map at all. You try to zoom in and it zooms out. Once you go to a page within RouvyWorkouts you literally can’t go back to the previous page without restarting RouvyWorkouts . Hoping the computer app is better

Great rides, but interface for finding routes could use a lot of improvement. Need ability to search by map on iPhone. Would also love to see a few screen shots of each video when looking for routes.

Thought it would be a good replacement for Zwift. I Synced it to my Kickr and thought it would work fine and selected the 2015 Sprint Nationals Course. It was harder than usual to pedal on the trainer, and I had to put in extra effort to go over 20mph on flat parts (it showed that I was tipping 200 watts). Before my ride I set up Training Peaks, Runkeeper and Strava in RouvyWorkouts , but its been hours and the workout has not uploaded to any of the apps. Needs a lot of improvements.

I enjoy RouvyWorkouts but when I apple AirPlay it from my phone to TV. I don’t get the same cadence and power box on the TV screen as I do when running it with my pc. There are many routes to pick from. The Swiss mountains routes are beautiful and challenging.

This is no computer generated ride! Actual video footage matches your pedaling effort and ups and downs on the road are felt by your pedaling legs. Of course there is no coasting, so this makes for a good workout—or race, if that’s your choice. Love RouvyWorkouts!

- favorites don't synchronize from cloud
- power hr cadence font tiny when riding - see Zwift fonts for these
- Strava does not recognize segments after upload

Switching to Fullgaz or Kinomap

Update. Jan 24.
Kinomap is way too buggy for use.
Fulgaz has nicely curated videos but app is sluggish and crashes.
So far Rouvy has the most stable app but videos are not the best.
Maybe time for Zwift...

I’ve been riding outside all summer and coming back to Rouvy for the Winter. Last Spring I rated Rouvy 5 stars. My first ride back had the virtual riders riding into buildings and disappearing into hillsides. Ride #2 was a MTB ride and the video kept lagging for the first half of the ride then completely stopped for the second half of the ride. Real bummer Rouvy went downhill so fast.

What I miss in RouvyWorkouts is workout descriptions. Explaining what the workout is like and how the workout fits into a tracing program. Others apps I have used do this in every workout. It’s very helpful.

Rewriting my review. After getting through some of the technical challenges I really like this solution.

Hard to use, I find that you have to search for exactly the workout that you want as opposed to scrolling through the workout library. Just kind of clumsy all around.
