LifeSaver - Distracted Driving Reviews

I love the idea of an app that helps me not drive distractedly.
It was really easy and intuitive to download and use, the guides were really helpful.

The integrated map system wasn't to my liking, simply because google maps is superior to all other map things and I'm used to google maps so it made me sad that it doesn't just link to google maps.

The other thing I don't really like about it is the location services have to always be on.
That makes me uncomfortable. I wish there was a way for it to be "only while using LifeSaver " If nothing else, a clear description of why it ALWAYS needs my location info and where the info is going and who has access to it would make me feel better about leaving it on.

I liked the simple and user friendly user interface and the tracking of time spent Not distracted etc.

Overall, I'm excited to see how this develops, but I probably won't be using it because of the location thing. We will see. (:

I never touch my phone when driving. My music plays. Every two seconds it alerts me I’ve violated something and to focus on the road, not touch my screen. Then violates me a bunch. Blah blah. It messes up my phone and GPS it’s not worth the little money I save monthly. Just garbage

I had a Windows phone prior to the purchase of my iPhone. Microsoft has a cool feature that recognized when my phone is connected to the car's Bluetooth. While connected, the phone turned off notifications and automatically sends a text reply informing the sender that I'm driving. It worked great and significantly reduced distracted driving. I was hoping to find a similar app for iPhone... LifeSaver is a great concept. It basically bricks your phone and puts up a pop-up message telling you to keep your eyes on the road. That's great and all, but that same pop-up can actually become a dangerous distraction while trying to used functions like navigation, hands free calling, or listening to music. I hope Apple can add functions similar to the the Windows phone in a future release.

Like the idea of what this is trying to achieve. After careful following the setup settings used this for a few days and found that I could not keep my older iPhone 5 running iOS 10.3.3 charged. Unfortunately it seems that iOS 11 is not compatible with my older phone. Upon reviewing battery usage found that this app was the highest app user of battery. Ended up changing to only allow to use location while app is in use, but forget to open LifeSaver . Have been using EverDrive longer and although it is for a different purpose it too "uses location all the time" but is much less demanding on battery life. Still hoping for additional improvements to this app.

I'm very excited to start using LifeSaver. I will admit that I am guilty of using my phone sometimes when I'm driving and I can't help it. I'm hoping LifeSaver will help remind me to keep my eyes on the road.

I am an insurance agent and one of my carriers has a deal with this app, so I figured I would try it. I downloaded on my phone to do a trial before I recommend to anybody. There are a few flaws in my opinion. First, it kept pushing alerts to my Garmin watch as I was driving and car was on the console, which ironically was terribly distracting. I may have downloaded it or set it up wrong, so that could be user error, but that is still an issue. Also, there is no tracking available, which was one thing I was hoping for...seems it would be easy to add some gps function for fleet management.

I really love the concept, but I don’t feel like this product achieves execution. I deleted from my phone. Currently looking at other vendors.

I think the concept of the alert "Keep your eyes on the road" popping up or staying up while your driving is a good idea. It would be way too annoying to text with that popping up all the time. The problem is that it can just be shut off "As Passenger" and then one can text as usual. I get a parent could track etc., but someone needs to figure out how to block texts when located in drivers seat. Not an easy ask, but it's the way to crack this problem. Good attempt, it's better than nothing, I'd likely install for my family, but still has holes.

I really like LifeSaver. I'm sad to say that I am guilty of texting and driving! I Love that LifeSaver makes it so I cannot use me phone while driving. I can still use my Bluetooth for calls but texting no. I would however add that I wish there was a auto response option to incoming texts while driving. When others don't know I'm driving they keep texting me! It'd be a nice feature to add! Maybe next update?

i am a 16 year old girl and my dad put LifeSaver on my phone. okay i understand. however while i have my phone in my back seat completely out of hands reach when i get to my destination and i park i grab it and on my lock screen the KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD banner has popped up and i now have 2 new violations. i might be getting my car taken away because my dad won’t trust my word and LifeSaver is garbage because the lack of reporting REAL violations. if there was a no star i would’ve selected it!!!!!! completely dissatisfied!

This is a fantastic idea. There are too many deaths on the roadway due to people checking their phones for messages, music, etc... LifeSaver is a great way to prevent yourself from using your phone while driving, thus eliminating distracted driving incidents that kill thousands each year. Would recommend.

I made the mistake of using LifeSaver without changing the settings. Once I watched the video and changed LifeSaver settings, it worked like a charm. Blocks me from using all my apps in the car. Has definitely changed my behavior.

I like the idea so far / easy to use/ liking the reports and the arrival data.

I wish there was the option to email reports for the driver as my wife (their mom) does not really use her cell phone for texting.

Is the mapping feature fully integrated with google maps and real time traffic?

LifeSaver distracts the driver with constant notifications I have an iPhone with my built in app works 100% better then this and when you this app is on and your maps is open you have to keep removing the notification from the top of the screen so you can know where your going not worth the trouble when phone have it built in LifeSaver does nothing it doesn’t even lock my phone like my built in iPhone app does

This does its job of keeping me from playing with my phone when I'm on the road, but passenger unlock is too easy, and LifeSaver allows me to "cheat" sometimes to see a text someone else has sent. Makes using my phone for navigation a challenge. App also butts into my non-driving life, asking to be turned on when I'm at home, on my couch, going nowhere...

It’s not user friendly, AT ALL. It doesn’t show or explain how to put settings on drivers. And most importantly it didn’t even work. It did nothing but show two location points. Then when I log in it shows drivers and how I want it set up but 20 minutes later it shows A user then numbers and doesn’t show connected drivers anymore. No alerts and no notifications once others are driver.

After I started using this, I found a new favorite coffee shop! It was on my commute every day but I never saw it because I was always distracted by my phone. Can't wait to try the new cafe I just found too! ☕️☕️

I am thrilled. I am a senior citizen but am a techie. LifeSaver has saved me from checking texts, checking email, or making calls while driving! Thank you!!!!!

I love LifeSaver to constantly stop me from checking my phone on the road. Unfortunately those notification pop ups were somehow messing with my Bluetooth audio for driving apps like Waze. It would cut the audio in and out. Once I removed it, audio was fine. And yes, I followed the notification setting directions.

Two days ago I stopped getting notifications from either daughters phone. They are both active on the portal. This is the second time this has happened and it is a long process to figure out why it stops abruptly. I need help fixing it and it’s hard to get a response.

Was told to use LifeSaver to monitor phone usage while OTR. The idea or purpose of LifeSaver I completely support, how ever if we can use music apps with it, we need to be able to use GPS apps like “Hammer”, using this in a commercial environment we need to have secondary means of routing so we can make viable decisions while in route.

Doesn’t work on my iPhone 11. Doesn’t sent alerts to the register phone number.
There’s absolutely no customer service to help you problem solve any issues.
Waste of time.

An app that should never exist regardless of anythng else dnt ruin lives

LifeSaver constantly comes up on my phone if navigation is open and the phone is in the holder. It is distracting to constantly get messages from this app even though I’m not using my phone for anything other than navigation and I’m not touching or holding my phone.
