I am a bit upset that the lifetime purchase doesn’t even include all the crankbaits that I have in my precision trolling 7th edition book (more than a dozen are missing including ones I use). I mean why is that? How hard can it be to update the data in PrecisionTrolling with the information you have already collected?

Unfortunately for the consumer, this is the only game in town for this sort of information due to some ridiculously broad and vague patent that should never have been granted. It was granted for “marine electronics with lure depth analyzer” what a joke!! Perhaps one day it will be challenged and tossed out so that PrecisionTrolling will improve in order to compete in an open market.

Because of this lack of competition, precision trolling can get away with a limited line diameters and crankbaits offerings (covered brands are focused mostly on those that sponsor their fishing show).

All this being said, when you need information for a crankbait/ line combination already in PrecisionTrolling , it does a great job. I just wish they would add crankbaits more often and with different lines. 10,15,20 The ability to see the dive curves as well as the scroll wheels would be nice for those of us used to the books and curve stickers.

Edit: Crashes have been fixed with recent app update. Still waiting on data from old book to be added and longing for the day this laughable patent gets tossed.

I have been and am using “The Trollers Bible” from Precision Trolling (out of print) for years and sprang for the lifetime subscription. The data on the Offshore Guppy Weights andTadpoles is great. The segmented lead core information is invaluable. (More information is available on the website.) I like being able to update the data as new becomes available.
The one thing that I REALLY, REALLY miss from the print version is being able to compare my unmarked lure with the photo so that I know the data is spot on. Just guessing lure size makes the data is useless. The length of the lure would be a most valuable addition.
Landscape mode on the iPad please.
Overall a good app that will only get better. Worth the $$ if you are serious about trolling.

Purchased lifetime sub, takes a lot of the guesswork out of lure selection, resulting in more fish in the boat and greater confidence choosing lures and playing with colors or other variables instead of wondering if I'm really targeting the correct depth. A minor gripe is the line choice selection is very limited on most lures. Personally, I'd like to see more information using leadcore to put to rest heresy on how deep leadcore "really" dives using different lures and amount of line out. All-in-all, I'm extremely pleased regardless of the initial cost and feel PrecisionTrolling to be highly beneficial in maximizing EFFECTIVE time on the water. Now add more LC data PT!!!!...and keep up the good work!

Easy to use. Support is great. Would have given 5 stars but the newer version lost a great feature. The old app/version allowed me to view a graph and print it from a screen shot which is more helpful in the boat than fiddling with my phone on the water among 3 fisherman. With the new version I have to buy the graph. My other option is to create it myself in Excel and print it.

My son and I are very big on walleye fishing in the western basin of Lake Erie from Toledo to Marblehead Oh.
We use PrecisionTrolling extensively for trolling different systems and tactics whether it’s using crankbaits running high in the water column, crashing shad style into the bottom or into the reefs, or using dipseys or jet divers to troll spoons and harnesses.
Your app for my phones were well worth the money and saves time trying to guess at things.

I have PrecisionTrolling on my I pad and iPhone. I had the trolling bible before this and it was great. This was the next logical step due to all the new updates that can come at any time. There are so many new companies and new baits from current companies that come thru how else would you keep up. Anyone that trolls must use PrecisionTrolling. It is much more accurate than what is printed on the package or downloaded from other sources. Nobody does it better. Thank you precision trolling, you saved me so much work. TJ Kremer, Lake City PA

Just purchased $100 version of online PT, and am looking forward to using it. Have been playing with it during mid-February downtime, but am not totally comfortable with it yet.
I purchased my first hard copy when the book was brand new. . .what a game changer! It’s allowed me to troll with a great deal of confidence.
I’ve recommended PT to many others and have passed hard copies on to skeptics as I’ve purchased newer editions.

I have had PrecisionTrolling for about 5years I live I live on the Saginaw Bay and before I got PrecisionTrolling I would try a different program and waste a lot of time trying to figure it out, with precision trolling I look at app on my phone and with in minutes my bait is in the target range. Wouldn’t be without it. Thanks for all the work you did for everyone to make sure they could better fill their creels.

I have had PrecisionTrolling for multiple years. I've never had any issues using it. The price point may seem a bit high but for the information you get I have found it well worth the lifetime purchase. Their customer service has been very helpful and responsive. Twice I have had to contact the makers of PrecisionTrolling . Within a couple emails PrecisionTrolling was reinstalled on my phone.

I purchased PrecisionTrolling when it first came out only had one problem was fixed in ten minutes. I would be totally lost without PrecisionTrolling use it every time we troll sometimes it takes a little tweaking. I have had fishing buddies call me for information from my app don’t know why they don’t purchase it. Great product glad I have it. Thanks for all your hard work.

Without a doubt, the best trolling info available anywhere...PERIOD. If you want to catch more fish, get PrecisionTrolling. I've been using these depth charts since they were released in book form many years ago. PrecisionTrolling paired with a good side imaging unit will absolutely put more fish in your boat. Get the lifetime edition you'll never again be charged for any updates or new lure depth info. Well worth the money!

Just started using PrecisionTrolling. I decided on the lifetime pkg. it's awesome. Quick and easy adjustments as fish suspend in different parts of the water column. I can change depths on the fly. Looking forward to Arkie lures being on here! They make a good lil crank. In the future it'd be cool to also have "pushing vs. pulling depths." But I understand how much work that would involve. PrecisionTrolling has increased my catch due to being more accurate in my approach! Thanks.

I'm a weekend warrior and PrecisionTrolling makes me a much better fisherman as I follow fish from the deep to shallow areas. Love the ability to buy more hooks as my tackle box gets larger. PrecisionTrolling is really as easy as picking the lure, line, and depth and it tells me how far back to put the bait behind my boards. I wouldn't be nearly as effective with shad style baits without this. Thanks for developing it!

Has a lot of good data for all kinds of plugs. Only thing I’ve seen is not too much data on lead core and snap weight numbers but there’s so many lures out there that it would be next to impossible to keep up with all of them. Great job though on the data that’s here

Organizing all my lures and it’s amazing that the depth I thought I was at , is completely different than the data tested. Just bought the lifetime app and extremely useful can’t wait to put it action, would like to see more 50+2 inclusions as well as Renosky lures that are used a lot here in the Erie area.

The data provided by the Precision Trolling app is a immensely helpful. The depth/line out wheels quickly deliver answers when I'm setting lines and looking to target suspended marks or fish just over the top of some structure. What's equally as valuable to new trollers is the systematic approach to trolling that is implicit in PrecisionTrolling , which shortens the learning curve and leads to increased success.

PrecisionTrolling really helps get to the fish. I have the lifetime plan and continue to get updates. I have most of my lures marked favorites.
PrecisionTrolling helps me troll at the right depth.

Would like to see some additional search features. Enter a few parameters and get the short list of what’s in the box to choose from.

For the price of one trolling rod setup you can guarantee all of your lures are running in front of the fish that you’re after. Not wasting time out of the strike zone or even worse in the zebra and quagga mussels!
Knowing your lures are in the right place removes the biggest obstacle to catching fish, by giving you confidence.
I can’t wait until they add a My Lures tab and a Today’s Lures tab.

For the guys that are complaining about price, you’re just not understanding the small details that make all the difference between a good fishermen and great fishermen. This is one of those.

If you love to troll, PrecisionTrolling is one of the most important tools for success. PrecisionTrolling is always functional every time you use it. The library of lures is incredible & offers the line needed to achieve proper depth. They update the library of lures constantly. Can’t troll without PrecisionTrolling !

Been using the books for years. Great info but PrecisionTrolling is much better and faster after learning to use it. A lot of info that would be slow to sort thru otherwise. Thanks for PrecisionTrolling - it has helped a lot.

By all accounts from people that use PrecisionTrolling with recommended Berkley 10# XT and the lures that have been documented nothing gets better for accurate trolling depth control (or other tested combination).
That being said there are limitations. If your lure has not been tested some other method will be required. But all is not lost if you compare it to a similar lure that is documented/tested. Finding a tested lure that matches your untested lure by the overall length, body size & shape, lip size, lip shape and lip angle and buoyancy should get very close.
The other thought I have is it would be close to impossible to test all lures with the number that come out each year and already exist.
I would not want to be without it for trolling fish that are suspended or on the bottom (all off them).
