Appodeal is causing game to crash.

Hi...I sent a review the other day advising your developers that recently, ads have been causing problems. So, here’s what’s happening....
After you play 3 or 4 levels (with ads), you get a black screen. There’s a red tab in the corner that allows you to “click on” information about the ad. The problem is, that the “ad” never appears. Just leaves you with a black screen! You can’t do anything further, because technically, the Word Wow game is still running. Even if you close the game, when you open it, the same black screen (with the little red tab) comes up. Ive offloaded the game, reinstalled it and the same thing happens. It happens on all the word wow versions...but not on other games. Frustrating, to say the least! The games are awesome, btw!

Update. What’s wrong with the game?

I’m done. It took me nearly ten minutes to play your game because it kept freezing due to Ads. You mentioned in a response to me before that by purchasing the OPTION to buy the removal of Ads will ensure smooth playing of your game. I, nor anyone else, shouldn’t be forced into buying anything to play any game if they don’t choose to. I really enjoyed your game, but not anymore. No other game I have on my phone does this. This is truly ridiculous. I’m deleting your game and I’m sure a lot of other people will be doing the same.

I enjoy playing the game; however, the higher levels I play the more the game keeps freezing. I thought with your latest update the problem would be fixed. I’m really getting tired of this. Really considering deleting the game.
PLEASE FIX THE GAME. IT KEEPS FREEZING. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Great game, but fix the glitch!

I play this game every day, it’s my absolute favorite. I purchased the no-ads version early on, back when I first started playing. I do not use the timed version.

However, there’s a glitch where, if I take a break during a game for any reason, even for just a few minutes, WordWow frequently starts me from scratch even though I paused it properly. VERY frustrating, especially when I’ve made lots of 10+ letter words and have used several bombs and letter switches, only to lose my score. The bombs and switches are GONE as well.

I don’t want to be chained to my iPad while playing, I do have a life that requires attention as well. PLEASE FIX THIS GLITCH!!!!!

Good game but mid game progress tough

This is a great game overall. I tend to only do the daily drops and it is fun to try to get a bunch of 10+ letter words and stretch the brain a bit. My biggest frustration is that if I leave the game and come back, more often than not it starts me over in that level. I really wish it would keep my place since these games can take a while and I typically can’t get through a whole game with my busy life. Also, it cuts off at over 15 letter words, which can be frustrating from time to time. Overall, lots of fun.

Great!

Great word game, and I love the option to pay to remove ads (which I did). My only complaint is sometimes I’m right on the edge of getting the third star, and then the game adds up my bonuses (time, three letters, etc.) but it doesn’t add the bonus amount to my stars. Just to my total score. Maybe that’s a feature and not a bug but it does make getting that third star very difficult. I do like how many levels are available though!

Love this game but....

I have played all the different versions you have and I really enjoy them. The only reason I cannot give it a 5 is because I stopped playing due to the fact that if I did not have time to finish a game I would lose it. I would press pause and then later when I tried to pick up where I was my game was lost. I like to play on breaks at work or breaks at home. But being a mom I have many interruptions. I would play again if I was able to pause it and save for later. I admit I have not tried in a couple months. Maybe this issue has been fixed. I hope because they are really fun games.

Big Time Battery Drain

Love this game and play it constantly. I initially didn’t realize you can select letters from anywhere on the board when spelling words and thought they had to be next to each other. Once I learned otherwise, the game has been my go-to and is so much more fun.

Only downside is how much it drains my cell phone’s battery, a brand new iPhone 12. If I play the game too long, it also makes it get very warm.

Love it!

This is the best word game ever! You can play non stop and new levels keep opening up. It’s like a never ending story. I like the fact that I can pick up where I left off or go back to a previous game.
If you finish a game & didn’t earn all three stars or the gem, you can replay it. I’ve not had any glitches or issues & I’ve been playing for nearly a year. If I ever finish this one, I’m going to try some of the others.
Thanks for a really fun game!

Keeps brains working

On any day we need a mix of relaxation and to keep our brains working. With three levels of play, and unknown of the letters coming up, this game and its cute worm challenge us just a bit or a lot as we come with words to get it to worm it’s way down through the maze. It’s not just words that we need. There’s a strategy too, as you will learn.
My only wish is that we were told more about factors of play.

Word Wow is Bookworm

I believe this game is similar to Bookworm. I purchased bookworm years ago. I am talking 2003. It was a great game. No adds or commercial interruptions. However, as apple kept updating Bookworm became obsolete. The game maker, PopCap would not update the game and I had to stop playing it. I still have the original Bookworm disk. When you pay the $4.99 to get rid of the adds is that a one time fee? Or do you have to keep paying that fee each time you go back to play the game?

Best ever

I have always liked word games but most of them are too easy and you are limited with just a certain amount of letters. Not this one! Each round gives you a huge range of words you can make and it’s never that repetition of limited words. There are also the challenge words in the daily games. The advertisements are there but nothing crazy.
I’ve deleted the other game words i had in my iPad: all I need is the little worm!

I am not a robot! 🤖Though some days seem redundant enough that I have wondered. 🤔 This is for the people that like to spell words like I do. This game has enough different settings that it is enjoyable in different ways.▶️◀️🔽🔼 (Seriously, I sound like I work for these people. Human Resource… check please) 💰I can do the sparkly wick thing when I feel like I need a word boost for the day. I am not a robot. 🤖However, I like the not timed mode. I can really give a lot of thought to longer words. ⏰🕰⏱ You don’t have to hurry up and spell fast against someone else. Actually just realized you are playing against yourself when not timed. Dang I’m strategic….. I don’t have a chance against myself. Keep beating your old score. Been playing this for a while. Not much of a review person. Long story short, (not something I’m good at) try it with different settings.

Game is a winner.

Don’t mind the adds after each completion EXCEPT SOME ARE STARTLING LOUD. I had to give up playing your games after the family is asleep and when things are finally quiet and when there is studying going on. That really cuts down on your games use by all of us. Don’t get us wrong, we enjoy the ads showing us new stuff and have turned friends on to some of the really sick ones. But the loud shocking noise right after an enjoyable game is a real smack down.

My favorite game is now on iPad!

I think that ANY “Word Wow “ game is a wonderful word game to play. You can choose to be timed or not to be timed. You can choose EASY, MEDIUM, or HARD! You have to love a game that allows its players these freedoms...I control my game. The music is comfortable, non-annoying and gentle on your ears while engrossed in creating words. The character actions are fun and there are a good number of awards. You can replay a level! Customer support answers in a timely manner....That’s a word wow, right there.....( think a sec, you’ll get it...😀) No hidden ‘play now, pay later’ features, either! Get those ‘letters out’ now! 😁😁😁😁😁🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

Glitches lately

I love this game. It actually takes some thinking, as opposed to the games where you just try to pop balloons or whatever. But lately, as soon as I start a game, the screen suddenly turns black and I’m logged off. Not always, but often enough so that I’m just gonna stay off it for a week or two. Support says this doesn’t happen on their devices, which does not help me. It Has anyone else had this happen? I would have rated it five stars if it weren’t for this glitching up lately.

Relaxing

I began with this original game called Bookworm and I didn’t think the changes and the new version would match up. I really like this this game. It’s one of the only consistent games with so very few changes so it doesn’t disturb what you already know about it. It’s fun, I like the worm, I have to put some thought into it depending on level, or timer, etc. it is a relaxing game to play, too. I have 4 versions of it and I don’t get tired of playing it.
AND-you aren’t swamped with ads and interruptions. It’s a keeper !

Word wow

I enjoy this game because I don’t have the timer on. I don’t compete with others. I do notice that my score is about one tenth of the high score.
I finally read the how to play rules I learned about high scoring letters and that might help get more points. I also like that you can play the round again to get more points or gems. You can play your own game... try to use all the letters or find a he most direct route to the end.
I do like the fact that the ads are very short.
Overall I enjoy this game

Great Game!

This was my introduction to Word Wow and I enjoyed it so much I completed all the levels and then searched for another version. Now I’ve been playing Word Wow Countries for weeks and had forgotten how simple this version is! Almost boring in comparison. Funny how perspective changes. I still think it’s fabulous though and probably good to start with this one before playing the more complicated version, especially if you don’t play a lot of video games, like me. But in some ways the country version is easier, like the stars and gems are easier to see. Thanks for such great games!

Great concept, moderate delivery

This game is positively addicting. The timer transforms this game from an elementary word search into a strategy game. The higher your level, the longer the screen gets. The longer the screen, the more you’re forced to concentrate on the directness of the paths you make. You also have to plan ahead for the use of future vowels, which are not always in abundance.

I give it four stars because the game’s vocabulary isn’t great. Strangely, it recognizes crass terms for parts of the female anatomy, but, won’t accept the word “winsome.” It accepts three letter words only found in cross-words, but not “Caucasian.” A minor complaint, but, a frustration.

Can’t stop!

Love this game! It’s fun, challenging, and even the ads aren’t horrid. (Most of them have the option to close out of them quickly). I did decide to spring the $2.99 for no ads, though.

2 minor annoyances - 1. I’ve found valid words that the game won’t accept. 2. The game pauses if you minimize the screen or if you have to change screens (if you get a phone call, for example). Neither of these are deal-breakers, though.
