MinistrySchedulerPro is great when it works but is a major headache when it doesn’t…which seems to be all the time now. It’s supposed to allow me to see my volunteer schedule, make adjustments and request subs at my church but I can never even log in, and when I am successful at logging it I can never actually do anything. The frustrating thing is that since I have MinistrySchedulerPro , whenever I click on a link in the email from my church to see my schedule it takes me directly to the non working app which has become completely useless and beyond frustrating.
I have a very hard time logging into MinistrySchedulerPro, and recently it seems to have gotten much worse. Whenever I click on the name of our parish, it reroutes to the same page, and no matter how many times I click on the parish name button it just loops back over and over. In the past I was able to bypass this glitch sometimes by following the link in an email, but recently, I can’t do that either. So now I’m locked out of MinistrySchedulerPro and therefore my boys server schedules..
When it works, it’s great!!!! But it works less and less now and in the last week now it doesn’t at all..
I am executing the MSP App on an iPhone 15 Pro running 17.2.1. MinistrySchedulerPro is no longer functional. Previously it worked correctly. Now as soon as MinistrySchedulerPro is launched I receive a white screen with no control of any type. One can not see any schedule, messages or controls within MinistrySchedulerPro . The only thing one can do is cancel MinistrySchedulerPro . I have deleted MinistrySchedulerPro from the device and reinstalled it. It allowed me to log back in but as soon as I was logged in the same white screen was displayed which does not allow MinistrySchedulerPro to view or do anything. I have logged into the web based app and my account and schedule are correct. Previously MinistrySchedulerPro worked fine but not is broken for my iOS device.
Loved MinistrySchedulerPro when it came out. But it is increasingly becoming obvious that the creators have little interest making it work. Filters don't work on your schedule. Despite the program being set to show scheduled dates from this day forward MinistrySchedulerPro continues to show 1-2 days worth of past assignments. Maybe if the schedule was created only for weekends it would make sense to show both sat/sun. But when you have liturgies 7days a week why do I need to see what I did yesterday? Customer service is anything but. Such a good program but I fear app and kiosk were put together by monkeys. Ugh!!
MinistrySchedulerPro constantly logs our members out and then the login screen freezes, and they have to close and reopen MinistrySchedulerPro to log in. It also freezes every time they switch between family members forcing them to close MinistrySchedulerPro and reopen it. The issues get worse with each update, so I don’t know what minor bugs they’re fixing. I just wish they’d address the major ones. If things don’t improve we’ll be looking into an alternative program.
I use a bluetooth keyboard for my iOS device. MinistrySchedulerPro only displays in the “portrait” view. Which means I must turn the screen sideways to view the display, but rotate again 90 degrees to use the keyboard. So frustrating that I will uninstall MinistrySchedulerPro and simply use the web based log in as that is much easier.
When logging out, unlike most apps, you are bumped all the way back to “organization”, not just the log in page. Disappointing to basically start from scratch with every single sign in.
I and my sons use MinistrySchedulerPro for serving and minister schedules. However, often MinistrySchedulerPro will log the user out which would be fine if it would keep the selection of the parish set. Usually I have to look up our parish each time and then when I click on it to go to the login screen I end up in a loop of loading login screen and going back to choosing the parish. Even if I completely close out MinistrySchedulerPro and start over this happens.
Unfortunately the convenience of an app is lost as I need to login to my computer to look up the schedule or request a sub because MinistrySchedulerPro often doesn’t work. I have no idea why it constantly starts back at the select a parish rather than the login screen. Very frustrating as it just started doing this over the last year.
MinistrySchedulerPro is beyond frustrating. Every time I try to login with my different family members 80% of the time I have to end up deleting MinistrySchedulerPro and starting over. I have actually been a leader and administrator for utilizing this program and MinistrySchedulerPro is the biggest hindrance to scheduling. I find it extremely frustrating. I have an iPhone and perhaps it doesn’t like iPhones, but this definitely needs to be fixed.
Thankfully, MinistrySchedulerPro has been more reliable about letting me login recently. That being said, I am no longer getting emails notifications for one of my children. My husband‘s email is listed in addition to mine for the child I’m not getting emails for. He is getting those emails instead of me. We used to both get them, but for several months now it is only him. I have tried to delete his email so that I get the notifications, but it will not let me submit the changes. MinistrySchedulerPro would be awesome if it worked consistently, but it is just very buggy….
Simple & intuitive ... but...
The last few updates, MinistrySchedulerPro locks-up at launch/login the first time after an update of app. I have to Remove/Delete app entirely- and install again; RE-enter login and it works fine all the time (until the next app update). It only take a couple of minutes but it is annoying.
(I assume something disconnects within IOS & app Security settings.)
(iPhone Xs IOS 13.5.1)
Does the basic job but needs more updates to make it user friendly & more specific for serving preferences.
I was thinking that at one point, there was a section in serving preferences that said how often you wanted to be scheduled (1x monthly, bi-monthly, etc). That button is no longer there for volunteers to set their preferences.
I would really like to see that added so that volunteers can ensure that they’re able to set healthy boundaries for how often they can serve.
I have been loving MinistrySchedulerPro since I started using it, but in the last several months, I’ve started having problems with it.
I keep getting signed out and then getting error messages when I switch between family members. Since I serve in one ministry and my daughter in another, I have to switch fairly often. My son is going to begin soon too, and I’m thinking this will create more problems.
I end up having to sign in on my computer to deal with anything, which is an issue when I need access if I’m not at home or work and on my computer.
When I open MinistrySchedulerPro on my iPad it opens to the Full Calendar and I’m unable to move to any other screen. Can’t see My Schedule, Profile, Settings, etc. Seems to work okay on my iPhone but my iPad has a bigger screen so it would be preferable to use may iPad rather than my iPhone screen. It previously worked fine before update.
Sometimes it works fine; sometimes it is out to lunch. You cannot depend on it. Be prepared to log in to the regular web page sometimes.
I have it on two iPads in the same house. The two often do not agree with each other. There appears to be no way to force MSP to refresh itself so that it displays the most current information.
Although there are PUSH notifications, shouldn’t there be a way to create a calendar item for either Google or Outlook?
Having the ability to do this from MinistrySchedulerPro would be helpful. Yes, when I first receive the email that I’ve been scheduled I ‘could’ create a calendar item at that time, but not so easy if I read the email on a mobile device, or I just glance at the email and chose to handle it later.
Being able to sit with you device, look at your schedule and create calendar events then and there would be great.
It’s great to be able to use and see our volunteer time at our fingertips but when changing from family member to member the name doesn’t change at the top of the page properly so we are not quite sure which schedules we are looking at or what changes are made. So a lot of switching back and forth needs to be done.
The sub request and full schedule is great for planning.
Overall I think MinistrySchedulerPro works well, as a user. My only complaint is minor. Every couple months while on MinistrySchedulerPro , I get kicked off and am unable to log back in. This happens while switching from family members on tower signal, not WiFi. It finds my parish, but I’m unable to select it. I have to delete MinistrySchedulerPro and re-download for it to work.
I know exactly when I should serve by looking in one place. We use the family feature for blocking days that we cannot serve. MinistrySchedulerPro also makes it very easy to volunteer. For my purposes, you can't get any better than this! Kudos to the creator and developer of MinistrySchedulerPro! And With the addition of being able to see all volunteers for a particular day even though I’m not on, it’s perfect! I don’t think they could make this any better.
Honestly the MSP app response time has seemed to become a little more efficient! When I first started with utilization of the MSP app the reflection of the submitting process and or the requesting process was a tremendous amount slower! Now the process as a whole with utilizing of the MSP app is much more efficient! Ohhh, and please keep in mind the fact that past and presently speaking I have received zero issues with timely push notifications!
The MSP app is so helpful. As a volunteer, I can see my schedule, see who I am serving with, and access resources. It is easy to get a sub when I cannot serve.
As an administrator for my church, MinistrySchedulerPro now has the ability for me to manage my volunteers from my phone!! It is amazing to be able to make changes and process my web forms as I go about my day away from my laptop.
Reading through the other reviews, I noticed that most issues reported have been addressed in software updates. And those who said they enter their away dates but then they disappear-well, that is on purpose! Volunteers can enter their away dates and the system can automatically process them. However, I have our MSP set to manually approve away dates so that I can address any questions. Therefore, the dates don’t appear until I approve them and I have shared that information with my volunteers to give me 24 hours to approve the dates.
MSP is quick to address any issues that you have with their app or software. If you are a volunteer, please reach out to your administrator for help. They will either know the answer or will be able to alert MSP about the issue.
Highly recommend this scheduling software and their attentive staff!
