Dangerous

2022-06-26

You require people to signup and have a login before they can use PulsePointAED? That’s horrible. You can push a signup after the fact, but in an emergency situation, someone could die waiting for your verification email. I downloaded this a few weeks ago thinking it was a brilliant idea and a good thing to have on my phone. Good thing I happened to open it to poke around long before I ever actually needed it. Just despicable.

Great idea, poor execution

2022-07-27

As a healthcare professional I’d very much like to be able to quickly find AEDs in public. Unfortunately I’ve had PulsePointAED for a couple of years and there are no public AEDs listed in PulsePointAED . A bit useless. Deleting app.

Need more locations identified!

2022-08-28

I am a ALS Certified first responder. I’ve been on the site for over a year and it seems the following in some regions is terrific and other regions nonexistent. In New York State for example where I live, very few AED‘s are identified. In my immediate neighborhood I know of for dinner closer to my home then any that show up on the site. This is too good an idea to not succeed. You need either a legislative advantage or more word-of-mouth &marketing campaign (digital) to get the word out and more AED’s identified

Good luck, I’ll be watching.

Please confirm my email address

2022-09-29

I love the idea of PulsePointAED but it’s been 5 days or so and I still haven’t received my email confirmation in order to create my account and start adding AEDs. Please help! I can update my review once I have an opportunity to use PulsePointAED functionality.

Delays

2022-10-30

Something seems to have changed with PulsePointAED. I am experiencing delays in the reporting of the radio calls to my local area. As an example, if an RA is dispatched and I can physically see the ambulance near me, often times I am not able to see it listed on my screen.

Please add the Add photo from photo library rather than taking a photo within the app only.

2022-12-01

Would like to add a photo from my library but cannot as PulsePointAED seems to only accept photos taken from within PulsePointAED .

Easy to use/great info to have

2023-01-01

Easy to use but I haven't figured out how to submit an update to edit/remove badly located/pinned AEDs or ones that are no longer at the pinned location. Don't forget to check your local churches to add new AEDs in your area. Great tool!

Works, needs more participation

2023-02-02

It works and it’s nice and easy to add an AED to the system, but it doesn’t have all AEDs because they just need to be added. Please use PulsePointAED and make sure every AED you see is in this database.

Wow

2023-03-06

Was at local gym- alarm on my phone went off "CPR NEEDED". Second alarm within a minute. Took me a few seconds to catch on- gentleman had arrested in parking lot. CPR already started by gym personnel, and fire dept paramedics there within 2 minutes. This patient was unable to be saved, but maybe next time.
I am amazed at the capability of PulsePointAED to alert trained first reminders to a crisis nearby. And appreciate the survey that followed.
This is an incredible tool that can truly save lives. Thanks so much

Fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic use of technology! I'm an IT professional as well an an EMT-Paramedic part time and this was long over due!

Great app

2023-05-06

Easy to use and provides vital information

Great resource

2023-06-06

Free, well supported app that helps you locate nearby AEDs. Also allows you to enter locations that may not be in their database-- important since this crowdsourcing app needs help to get their database as up to date as possible. It's a worthy cause.

Easy and helpful

2023-07-08

This is one of the easiest apps to use for downloading vital information.

AEDs save lives

2023-08-08

I have added many for 911 operators to use. Simple!

Maps feature is wonky

2023-09-09

Zooming in and out on maps is so wonky and I keep losing my place

Dependable

2023-10-11

Gets it right!
Wish there was a way to select a particular individual unit.

Saves life's

2023-11-11

My health teacher made us install PulsePointAED, one week later I used it and was able to save a mans life.

I can't wait for PulsePoint to come to my city

2023-12-13

I love both apps, why because it is easy to use. I think everyone should have both PulsePoint and PulsePoint AED. I just wish PulsePoint service was here in Houston, Texas.

Awesome but kind of confusing.

2024-01-13

I love both PulsePoint and PulsePoint AED. The only thing is the few AEDs I've added still haven't been verified by anyone so that's kind of confusing. But still, this is a great resource!

Very useful

2024-02-14

PulsePointAED is works really well. It lets you know where the nearest AED is at. You can also add an AED location. It will also notified you if there is there is an emergency near you so you can get an AED. Great app and helpful.

Features

The registry grows when PulsePoint AED app users log the location of AEDs in their community, making these lifesaving devices easier to find and use when a cardiac emergency strikes.

AEDs that are added to the registry using the PulsePoint AED app are accessible to emergency dispatchers, nearby citizens trained in CPR, and off-duty professionals such as firefighters, paramedics and nurses.

PulsePoint AED is a free app that makes it easy to help build the public registry of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in your community, or anywhere.

PulsePoint’s hosted AED registry offers a simple workflow for public safety professionals to manage all required tasks and provides the ability to view community AED information during call processing or directly within an EMD protocol.

We offer the PulsePoint AED and Respond apps and dispatch-connected AED registry as part of our mission to improve cardiac arrest survival.

These lifesaving devices automatically diagnose and treat cardiac arrest and are commonly available in offices, airports, schools, businesses and other public places.

If you are trained in CPR and willing to assist during a nearby cardiac emergency, please consider downloading the companion app, PulsePoint Respond.

PulsePoint AED also records and displays other lifesaving resources placed at AED locations including Bleeding Control Kits, Naloxone (e.g., NARCAN®) and Epinephrine (e.g., EpiPen®).

Instead of asking the caller if there is an AED available, emergency dispatch center staff can tell the caller exactly where to find one of these lifesaving devices (T-AED).

Public safety organizations such as EMS, fire services, law enforcement, and emergency dispatch are encouraged to review AEDs in their jurisdiction.
