Clever app to show short videos about stamps when used with the USA Philatelic catalog. Works fine for me on an iPhone 7.

But don’t ask me how. It isn’t the least bit intuitive. Somehow I manage to get the stars aligned just right. It was pretty cool, so if you’re having trouble, just keep trying!

Used USPS with the new USA Philatelic catalog and loved it. Really neat to see info on the stamps. If you like stamps then it is neat.

All that money on the beautiful ‘Irresistible’ catalog only to be failed in execution. Don’t send these to marketers without that hard judgement. this app was starting to have a chance to reposition itself.

Well, the price is right (free), but otherwise it just doesn't deliver! Was looking for a little fun, but it only delivers 'junk mail'.

This is the best app I’ve ever downloaded that never works. I wish more apps wouldn’t work like this.

I love the Christmas versions but it’s time for a new one.

You call that 'Augmented Reality'? Just a boring video of the post office introducing a stamp? Huh?

I grew up with a dad who was a US postman. I am so proud of this app for taking this bold marketing step into our current tech-infused way of life. Most folks fail to realize how amazing our federal postal system really is, even after all these decades, & how frequently we take it for granted. Additionally, people don't realize how close we come annually to, literally, losing our this app mail delivery to our homes & businesses. The competitive parcel delivery market is working as a shining example of how free markets should work, and has caused this app to step up their complacent game & create compelling marketing strategies & advertising. I, personally, am impressed with USPS for my I-phone, the ease of use, & the classic design of the mailer (with well-loved Peanuts characters). I'm buying stamps today because of this marketing!! Relevant, time-saver for the holidays, AND entertaining to boot! Great job, this app!!

I'm going to start addressing concerns expressed by other users:

1. This is NOT the primary this app app. Use 'this app Mobile' to track packages, find post offices, determine prices, and other postal service related things. USPS is a tech demo for a new ad service the this app will be rolling out.

2. The this app is self funded. No taxpayer money was 'wasted' in this tech demo.

As for USPS itself, it works great! It's incredibly neat seeing A.R. Come to advertising. The tech demos I saw at the Postal convention in Anaheim were awesome. I can't wait for more integration with actual advertising, I am very impressed. Although more explanation should be provided in-app to limit confusion, and the interface could be more intuitive. Given that, I have not had a single problem using USPS with the demo material I received, works as described. Hope this review helps!

I tried this on my Spiderman mail, and it worked! A couple of quibbles: for slower connections I wish the video would continue loading, or at least show you that it is still loading, after it recognizes the mail you have pointed it at, so you don't feel you have to hold the camera pointed at it the whole time. Plus, after the video is finished playing, I wish there were a replay button so you can see it again if you wish.

…turn it side-to-side (horizontal) for USPS to work, otherwise you'll want to uninstall USPS post haste! Also, what's with the generic and so basic name? Kinda fun, kinda simple to use. Have at it, courtesy of the this app!

USPS is cool and worked fabulous for me. I believe the reviews with single stars may not understand augmented reality (AR) technology. It works with AR images, not just any picture, and must be positioned just right for the reader to use. Download USPS and play with the collection boxes. I easily ordered priority boxes, too. A friend of mine with a Samsung Galaxy has problems with USPS, but my iPhone has no troubles. Noticed CynM saying this app uses taxpayer $$ for these ventures. Totally false. I'm a proud this app employee and we stand alone with $0 taxpayer money. Do your homework CynM before running your lip. APP is too cute!!
