FancyUnitsConverter lies in the store, saying that the in-app purchase is to remove ads. Instead, you actually have to pay to be able to use almost any of the conversion scales. It’s frustrating and a waste of data space. Find a fully free, functioning app instead of downloading this and not actually being able to use it.

While in my trip to Japan, even though I had double esim and good service and had already bought FancyUnitsConverter, my purchase looked to be cancelled while traveling and kept being limited to app use and told to purchase to use without limits. I couldn't restore purchases either until getting back to the States, my country of origin.

FancyUnitsConverter suddenly wouldn’t stop prompting me to buy the ad removal upgrade: the iOS dialog to authorize the purchase would not stop popping up no matter how many times I hit Cancel. It even kept showing the prompt after I accidentally had my thumb over the home button and Touch ID authorized the purchase. What the heck is this hacky app doing?! I might have bought it willingly if this didn’t happen, but as it stands, I am asking for a refund.

Crashes on my iPhone 6s with updated iOS. I’ve had it for 10 minutes and it’s crashed 3 times, all after adding a new conversion type.

Other than that i have some small nit picks: it needs a fraction/decimal, and I’d like to be able to multi select new conversions instead of doing it one by one.

Otherwise I really like the clean ui and ability to choose what conversions I want to see. It’s unlikely I will ever use fathoms, so why scroll past it. That is awesome. I will pay for this when it no longer crashes and they make the improvements I mentioned above.

I downloaded this yesterday because I got tired of having to google unit conversions so often and chose this one because it was aesthetically pleasing. However, I’ve noticed several categories for the conversions are incorrect after checking online. Also, on the free version, there’s an annoying feat where you can only compare between two units (for ex, only USD to GBP; if you wanted to compare with EUR, you would need to ‘replace’ one with the other). Furthermore, FancyUnitsConverter pulls up the keyboard below the category name which is well-above where the iOS keyboard normally is, which is honestly a bad UI choice. I will be deleting and downloading one of the uglier apps that at least has the correct conversion.

I down my stars to 3 cause there are couple of wrong FancyUnitsConverter. 1 cup is 6oz but app shows 8 oz. also most important thing in the cooking forgotten cup to gram much important measurement for the cooking and there is no any gram data in the cooking. Also you can add typography measurement for the developers pixel to pica pixel to inch pixel to point etc.

I love this tiny but powerful app. Great UI/UX very easy to use. And most important it is coming great support and customer service. I can recommended for everyone.

Edit: Database correction works great but still no cups to gram conversion in the cooking. I still use the internet for this conversion. If I still use the internet for this conversion why did I bought FancyUnitsConverter? Also why just have a fluid ounce in the cooking? You must add weight ounce to cooking. Actually cooking section totally need to revise.

Great App! I would give it 5 stars if it had a useful widget.

Another thing I would love: I use it for currency mainly. The ability to have the calculator rigth there is something just plain awesome! but since im not using other conversion tables I would like to be able to use conversions on the whole screen on my Ipad, it just feels now like im wasting a ton of screen on my Ipad if I only have the currency table enabled.

So out of the list of converters FancyUnitsConverter Store gives, this is probably the most modern and aesthetically pleasing app. Which is quite a contrast to the amount of typos and misspells inside. I would definitely be into buying the pro version if I didn’t have doubts as to the accuracy of the content caused by a lack of proofreading. Seriously, grammar, usage, and mechanics are very important wherever you go, and an app that looks as professional as this should not disappoint.
I assume the formulas and conversions are as accurate as possible, but would hate to find out they’re wrong when I’m depending on them. Anyway, besides that, it looks pretty good. I would like to see them add some more units; Amount Plus has over 700 while this one has about half of that.

Very easy to use. Used it all the time when I was working overseas. I still go to it when I need to figure things out.

Retired but find that I’m still using FancyUnitsConverter . Didn’t realize how much it tells me all the time about everything.

I really like FancyUnitsConverter, it’s customizable, has many options and different categories for conversion. I’ll likely buy the full version soon especially while traveling (currency conversion!). However for people who refuse to buy apps, the ads are unobtrusive & not pop-ups! 👍

Right now I use it to convert ml to oz mostly, since my Apple Heath app only allows me to use ml for water, so it’s nice to quickly convert oz to ml.

I would love some kind of haptic feedback though, vibration on key press or a key press sound.

FancyUnitsConverter is very intuitive and also looks quite nice. The developer is incredibly responsive and fixes bugs quickly.

Just one caveat may matter for some people. When you select a unit of measure, the keypad appears under the measure, *not* at the bottom of the screen. Makes it hard use one-handed on a large phone. Since it’s free to try, you can easily figure out if this is a problem for you.

This is overall a very aesthetically pleasing app. I've been looking for a unit converter app and this is by far the most user friendly and easiest on the eyes. The purchased version is well worth the money. The only suggestion I have is to have an option to combine units of measure (for example, "2 pounds 8 ounces") which can then be converted to 2.5 pounds or to kg, etc. As of now I would have to convert ounces to pounds and then use that fraction of a pound in the pound to kg conversion, which is an annoying extra step. Metric is the better measurement system is the bottom line.

There isn’t a day that I don’t use FancyUnitsConverter . Lots of options and able to set favorites to be at top is a nice convenience, too. Go get it.

I would definitely choose FancyUnitsConverter out of the other in FancyUnitsConverter store. I will give 5 stars for the ease of use and for the fancy design. Developer very responsive in assisting with any issue. I love it!

I’ve been using FancyUnitsConverter for several years now, and I really love how they have improve it. 3 phones and they respect my purchase. Again I love it. It’s very useful.

I used FancyUnitsConverter as a currency converter, among other functions, for three years and it worked perfectly. However, for over two months now, the US dollar to Mexican peso, which I use several times a day, has been stuck on the same wrong figure. When I reinstalled FancyUnitsConverter , the conversion figure was even further from the correct figure. What’s up with that? I’m sorry to lose FancyUnitsConverter, but there are plenty of other free apps who undoubtedly keep a closer watch on accuracy than do these developers.

It's a great little app that's useful when I'm at work constantly switching between units of weight. Best among other free conversion speed that I've tried. Bought the full version to support the developer.

I moved it up to the first screen of apps on iPhone because I use it often. Beautiful to look at and terrifically customizable.

Love FancyUnitsConverter. I use it almost daily. Terrific when I travel for currency conversion. I even splurged and bought the ad-free version because I wanted to support their great work.

FancyUnitsConverter is one of my favorite apps and the best for everything weights and measures. I use it more than I thought I would for cooking to turning inches into feet and everything in between. Great app!
