TVG - Horse Racing Betting App Reviews

I’m still getting used to the new look but I’m liking it so far. I like that you can review your bets and watch the race at the same time. I also like it when you launch the race video, you actually have to click the arrow to see the race and there is an option to disable the sound first. I don’t know how many times I play this app in public and the race starts blasting in front of people. LOL.

Only issue I’m having is when I make a this app Prepaid card deposit, after I fund my card, I get the usual pop up and click Close. But after I Close, I get a message if I want to cancel operation rather than it closing and allowing me to fund my this app account. It gets stuck and I cannot proceed. I have to completely close TVG and log back in, then I can go fund my account. Please fix this issue. - FIXED! Great job!

Also it would be good if you’re playing P4/P5/P6 plays, when you go to the next leg, I would like to be able to see the this app picks at the bottom. - Added. Awesome!

New issue- Video cuts out/freezes on almost every track/race. Race starts, freezes, continues, freezes, resumes again but this time they’ve already crossed the finish line. Annoying! I’ve already reinstalled TVG , made sure my phone is on the latest iOS, WiFi is fast and stable, happens on LTE network as well.

I’ve tried all the online betting sites, and this app is by far the best. The new iPhone app is particularly easy to use. this app is a safe and sensible way to bet when you can’t be there in person. Deposits are easy and your money is always safe. Want to cash out? It’s no problem at this app. Direct deposits, bank wires: Your winnings are easy to withdraw at this app. This is not possible at other sites-apparently. They are always figuring out ways to take more of your money. this app has money back promotions and wager rewards that get money back to the player. Always loved the website -till TVG came along-I’m hooked! TVG is great!

When my father got to old to drive to Keeneland I signed him up with this app as a birthday present years ago and hopped on board when they opened in Illinois.....Customer Service has always been impeccable and they are always climbing the Technology Ladder. Love the mobile app soooo easy and convenient! Only issue I’ve had lately is this New Jersey betting gimmick, the this app Host will spend so much time talking to some NJ Hustler the viewers lose out on the races in hand information it’s really Bad and only one state can participate in the scheme/Exchange.....

Did the FanDuel risk free $200 bet on the derby. Should have known this was BS when I saw it. I bet $200 on the race and only that race. I unfortunately didn’t win :( so I was like oh well it’s risk free, right? WRONG! They only gave me $50 back and I asked them about this. They said that I apparently didn’t read the rules right and they would only pay my first $50 bet. I placed 4 bets total with my $200. Two $50 on win and two $50 on show. I told them I understood about the show bets and I would take the $100 loss. They still wouldn’t honor my other $50 for the other win bet. They said that since it wasn’t on the same ticket, that they just can’t do it. They were completely irrational and not fair about it. The betting was fun, but don’t do the promotions without reading the fine print. They want your money BAD. I will not be using TVG again. ✌️

Fun to use, but their predictions/picks seem utter trash. I’ve lost more money following their analyses and picks than I have by just looking at horses, info/details, and odds, and trying my luck. By trial and error, I realized that if I don’t bet on their top picks, I can actually win some money.

You’ll hit the occasional W/P/S if you go by their recommendations/picks, sure, but be smart - rely on your own knowledge, and do your homework. It’s almost as if they know they’re pushing the worst picks to more ignorant punters so folks lose the most money. Pretty brilliant, if that’s so.

Home page simply shows a race at some track I never bet! Not at all what should appear on a home page. Had to revert to the book I got neatly 20 years ago when we bet with them by phone to find a number to call customer service. Called 3 times in last two weeks leading up to Derby. Customer Service not helpful just told having problems with mobile app! I knew that - reason I called!

I have tried all the apps available and this one is by far the best. It is easy to use and actually fun. I have both the desk top version and the mobile. Toggling through the races is easy and comparing stats is a breeze. I would give it ten stars if I could. I highly recommend it for both hobby and professional betters, alike.

Overall, it’s a good app.

One thing I don’t care for is the new format of “My Bets”. The old version was very simple and easy to read. The new version is hard to read…it just has too much going on, too many graphics and is cluttered. I like the idea of trying to improve it. But the old format was very simple and easy to read. The new format is hard to read and is frustrating.

TVG was completely useless! And I mean that literally. I tried to sign up and I put in all my personal information INCLUDING my social, all to be told that I have to call to be able to create an account. I call and the guy over the phone tells me that I have to fill out forms send out my ID mail everything and still can’t even place a bet. What a waste of my time! Then I kindly ask him to delete me completely out of their system he tells me it takes a while and that all he can do is put in a request. I feel violated of my private information. I feel like I’ve been scammed.

I recently bet a horse at a track for a good sum of money.. the last minute I bet another $100 to win . It said sorry the it’s close.. for that race .. I then went back and they was not loading them in the gate so again I try .it said it’s close.. the race went off and I ran 3rd .. I said thank god I was shut out . I look at my balance and it was correct.. then a hours later . My $100 was gone from my account. I call them just for them to say you bet it and said I tried but it said it was close .. it’s a joke never again will I deal with a site that after the race ..a good couple of hours .go by and they scam me .. good luck with these scam artists

I have to delete and download TVG at least once a week , you try to load app and all you get is a frame and blue screen . When you get this no matter how long you wait it does not load and you cannot close and reload it stays on blue on screen not loading all the way . So I am constantly deleting, redownload and logging back in . If I want to make a quick bet or want to , I better plan it since it is also a gamble that TVG is going to load

I have been using this app app for few years and I like a lot of features TVG provides but few changes I would like to see are as follows. The most frustrating part is TVG freezes on me all the time. I have to switch off my phone and switch back on which is frustrating. If I want to know how much money I have uploaded to gamble there is no easy way on TVG to tell me how much I deposited. Does not tell me how much I withdraw easily.

this app just arbitrarily changed my account so that I can no longer participate in any of their offers/promotions as of today !!! The reason is (they say) I don't bet enough money on the races !!!! They will not however give me an amount that they require to opt in to the promotions....
Sorry guys .. there are other betting sites

I’ve been using TVG for several years. Really like the sortable Account Summary feature, which allows players to keep track of total wagers made, winnings, deposits etc, and customizable for a daily, weekly or monthly time-frame. Great addition!

I really enjoy this app and TVG . The features on it are great. But TVG will go into blue screen and it stays like that. I can’t do anything when the blue screen comes on. And it happens frequently, at least once a day. I have to delete TVG and install again. I have used the TwinSpires before and never had that issue. If they would fix this issue, it would get a five star

Was told about TVG by this app reps as I entered the Del Mar track today. Thought it would be really useful and decided to download it. However then they need to verify your info (ie you have to call them) and I was told they need to "email the supervisor for approval" and then they'd get back to me. By the end of the races for the day, no word from them!! Thank goodness I decided to go bet the old fashioned way. Don't waste your time on TVG!!! I could have just been watching the races instead of spending that time trying to contact their customer service etc.M kl

On the iPad version, you cannot select the last leg of a Pick 3, 4, or 5. Been waiting for a fix the last few updates to no avail. We need to switch to iPhone whenever I do a Pick 3 etc.

I live TVG as everything you would need an a horse racing app is there. But there is not a single day that goes by they I open TVG , it turns blue, and will not open up. Every single day I have to delete TVG and download it again. Some days it is two or three times I have to do it. I have the Twin Spires app also, and have NEVER had to do it with that app. It does lead me do just use that app, but I like to see the picks of the this app analysts.

I used this app for some betting, when I tried to withdraw I was told that they sent me a checks but that it was returned. Then they told me that they will return the balance to the account. When I tried to use the balance a while later I found my account in zero. I called again a and they told me the balance was are by inactivity fees. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! If it is not enough that betting odds are always against you, these people increase the odds against you getting your profits if any. They will just tell you it is on the agreement.

Everything is great about his app as far as videos and all the races and courses. The only reason 4/5 is because TVG still doesn’t show you as much handicapping as a computer or tablet would. For example you can’t view the horses previous races to see their past performances. Otherwise no bugs.

So easy and access much info rapidly. More info than when you are at the track. More fun too! Easy to place a bet and payoffs are quick and it gives you option where to put the money.

I was lied to and cheated during my third (and last) experience. The customer service rep, Samantha, was dishonest about one of the promotions that the site was having on the Preakness. Additionally, when I called to dispute the pay-out I received because it did not match the odds at which I bet, they said the “remaining pay-out would be posted later”. This site shorts people and banks on them not paying attention to the odds. this app is crooked and dishonest and I will not be giving them my hard earned money any more.

While watching a race on iPhone without fail the screen freezes and you miss the end of the race. You have to close the race and re-enter the race to view the now finished race. Please fix!! Otherwise app is great but this one bug is a huge disappointment as this is when it counts most.
