I was searching something up and came back to check the other things it said and it had deleted the part where I was at and wanted me to restart the test. It needs to have history so you can go back and see your symptoms from last time and what it said you might have. It’s been like this for a while and is very frustrating when you have many symptoms.
App is too limited in its scope. Patient inventory was inadequate.
Husband has a pacemaker and has high blood pressure. Previously, he has suffered a TIA. Heart problems were never asked nor identified. Focus was only on an inner ear infection due to his reported dizziness.
We were disappointed that Symptomate was noticeably lacking a broader field of possible problems.
I’ll start by saying this is a great app and is very useful so it deserves 4 stars...what’s missing is the prior or pre-existing conditions piece. If prior diagnosis could be be entered, along with height and weight, you’d be looking at 5 stars. When drawing a clinical picture of what’s going on in the body (or the mind as well), these simple, anonymous bits of information have a huge impact on what the end result will be of that clinical picture. It’s too simplistic to draw possible conclusions without seeing the whole picture.
My two cents....
Symptomate helped me out a lot when I’m trying to narrow down what could possibly be happening to me and how to approach my next steps. The only problem that it has is more descriptions of symptoms or the ability to have more than one problem.
Symptomate, like most doctors, simply don’t understand that people get more than one health problem at the same time. This hyper-advanced concept is simply rejected these days because it forces doctors (and apps) to actually think… instead of being told what to think. They get so confused.
If you are diabetic with sleep apnea, Symptomate gets just as confused as any doctor.
But Symptomate is easy and fantastic if you just have one problem. Nice interface and easy to use. I give it five stars for basic issues.
I was putting all my symptoms to check this out and I have done certain area and with all the symptoms it says multiple sclerosis which I have been diagnosed. I have been concerned with the rheumatoid arthritis and it says that it’s high or whatever. Then I focused on my stomach and I have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome which is what this said it could be. Now going to add in my back pain and see if it matches up with what this colonoscopy tells me. Symptomate is pretty cool!!
Get Symptomate. It’s free. It doesn’t ask for any personal info (i.e. name, email, etc.) It only asks for your symptoms. Symptomate was right on time. My doctor said exactly what Symptomate suggested.
Confirmed the diagnosis I had thought, very quick
Symptomate asks follow up questions that you would not think are relevant symptoms. Great app.
I’m very impressed with the quality of the free app. I feel better now that I’m going to visit my doctor.
It is probably correct. I’ve had a rash on and off and intensely itchy skin. This reassured me that there was no need to run to medical care immediately.
It just told me what I already know about me having anxiety disorder… T-T there is something wrong with me and I don’t like it
Used Symptomate for somebody and it suggested that they had COVID even though it wasn’t obvious. After testing, the results came back positive
Gives me more symptom options than the other apps I’ve used and more diagnostic suggestions, so I can read each one to see what applies best to my situation. Thank you!
lol I know I got the wrong one but I’m sorry I just woke you lol I just got off work at work buddy I’m sorry I missed you lol lol love y’all babe I’m sorry I missed your call I love you
Would love to see a results history feature though. Personally, I could care less if my health data was stored or not.
I think it will be helpful. Way better than doing an internet search for random symptoms when you have MANY to list.
I do have gerd, however, the symptoms have been the most troublesome in my mouth….particularly behind my upper and lower lips. The burning pain is excruciating.
I am being referred for an acid test.
I’ve been taking omeprazole and demotions for over 4 yr and my symptoms are only increasing.
I was apprehensive to use Symptomate because all the other symptom checking websites wouldn’t tell you what they think you have unless you paid. Symptomate was simple to use/understand and most importantly, free! Of course it’s no substitute for a doctor, but it’s great for getting you on the right track.
Definitely worth downloading! Very helpful🤍
