Dictaphone Voice Recorder Reviews

Originally I loved DictaphoneVoiceRecorder. But after much use… I discovered that if you are using it on your watch and you stop the recording but forget to tap on save (there’s an option for cancel or save) you lose the entire recording and can’t recover it. Being on my watch and arm it makes it difficult because sometimes it gets bumped before I can push save and I’ve lost really important recordings that way. I’ve searched and searched online to try to figure out how to recover it and I haven’t found any way possible. I wish the default set up was to save it rather than delete it if that happens.

I have sent four emails to customer support trying to recover very important recording I had and I have had no response whatsoever. So I’m changing my review to one star

This thing will not record on command you better save a nonsense recording when you started up on your watch and then go back and record what you had in your mind because it won’t save it all when you initially press save any time opening the watch app. I’ve been losing recordings because the watch app will not save when I start it up that’s not very convenient but you have to save something when starting it up for it to start actually saving what you recorded and won’t even be in the pending transfers until your second recording you’ll likely find that in the transfers pending

I “had”really liked DictaphoneVoiceRecorder prior to the recent update. Before you press to record & it would record everything & i had bragged to other people how great this was BUT NOW it’s voice activated when you press record & it “doesn’t” catch the beginning part of what needs to be recorded nor the end. I hope there’s a new update to correct that problem

I downloaded this last week and gave it a quick try, and it seems to work quite well. The only thing is I would love to be able to use it with my AirPods Pro, and use the microphone in those rather than the one on my iPhone. I can’t find a way to contact the developer, so I’m wondering if this might be a possibility?

My previous review was: Good recording interface. Easy to use. Voice activation with tunable sensitivity, which is lacking in Apple’s Voice Memos. ‘Dictaphone Voice Recorder’ has decent voice file exporting and importing ability via Air Drop and Voice Memos, and iTunes. It sorts your files by date and you can name them however you want, and those things are absent in Apple’s Voice Memos. It still needs the ability to sort files by name and doesn’t have that. Reliable, but no support from publisher.

This is one of the best voice recorders I found, I have just a few requests:

1. Add setting to disable sound when you start recording
2. Add setting to set number of seconds to stop recording after silent
3. Add setting to auto-start recording when you open app
4. Add quick action to start recording by pressing app button with 3D Touch

Love RSS Radio, so looked for more from this provider. This is a simple, easy to use voice recorder. It sounds great and hasn't failed me yet. Looking forward to more from him!

With the latest update I lost access to Google Drive which was the main reason I loved DictaphoneVoiceRecorder. :(

This is very useful and easy to use. The only issue I have is the color scheme and not being able to change it.

Sometimes when I meditate I have thoughts or ideas Or questions I want to jot down but don’t want to move and write. Got DictaphoneVoiceRecorder so it’s on while I meditate, and only records when I start talking. LOVE IT

I just wanted a simple no frills voice activated app and I was pleased to see after I downloaded it that it now has the ability to set the sensitivity level for recordings. I say - it's free to try it!

Very useful and easy to use. I use DictaphoneVoiceRecorder to record my language classes. I especially like that I can speed up the playback to double-time so that the review is faster.

since discovering DictaphoneVoiceRecorder I have used it countless times. The ability to record in voice activated mode along with how easy it is to share files afterwards is what I really appreciate the most

Been using it for several years and has never failed to work properly. I’ve found it to be very easy to use and it has all of the features I was looking for.

DictaphoneVoiceRecorder is well worth the money. And the free app was fine, but paying a few bucks extra to get rid of advertising was worth it. It allowed me to switch over from a micro cassette dictating system (with the purchase of the USB footpedal and some software).

This works great, sound quality is good and I like that I can adjust the sound threshold for recording. A nice feature would be to be able to use a Bluetooth microphone as an option to the phones microphone.

I just downloaded it and it is working perfectly. Would love to see iPhone X screen optimization update. I will purchase it also just to support the developer and encourage constant updates. Thank you for the great job you have done.

This is a great app. I used another unit prior to this and it did not work. DictaphoneVoiceRecorder is a Mercedes Benz!! It is well designed. The voice clarity is excellent. It upload to iCloud is easy to set up and actually works. The file males are easy to change. I am using it for recording my dreams and it is perfect for that!!! What a terrific well designed product! I give it a five star review and am delighted to have found it.

Dictaphone does a great job recording, and it knows to start and stop, so it only records when people are talking. Saves time and space on playback.
