It does what it says- it demonstrates orders of magnitude and varying scales in sizes with links to their wiki pages. It's a novelty unless it's updated and fleshed out so I hope to see regular updates. Half a star removed since I haven't seen any. The music is kind of sad; regular repetitive, spacey, space music … I'm not sure why this turns out to be the default the way oboe concertos and whale songs are for giving birth, but they weren't what I wanted then either. That's half a star.

What a tremendous app this is. Perfect blend of information, usability (coolest zoom/expand feature EVER), and even the background music is perfect for a space information app. I wish you had more users and ratings, because this would be a very popular app if more people knew about it. Thanks for your hard work, and please don’t abandon UniversalZoom or give up hope—it may take time, but UniversalZoom’s eventual popularity is worth the wait!

The best zoom app I’ve seen. So much more than just zooming: comparative features, info on items, constant proportionality in spite of changing zooming, relevant and changing measurement units, music, high-res pictures that show more as you zoom, etc. Very nice.

UniversalZoom is listed for ages 9-11, but I easily challenge that. UniversalZoom is very clever and interesting and clearly took a fair amount of effort to design. I will recommend this to anyone without any hesitation!

I am completely blown away by the UI and overall experience of interacting with UniversalZoom. I actually found myself holding my breath at times while zooming.

It is hard to explain how great UniversalZoom is. On my first review more than a year ago, I thought it was phenomenal. After longer experience, I find it even better. Wow! I like the way I can compare sizes, eg, a whale shark and an African elephant. Try it on Apple TV on a big screen TV, for an even better appreciation of the immense variation of sizes. UniversalZoom gives one an appreciation for the scale of the universe from the tiniest particles to the largest immensity.

My 8 year old son likes UniversalZoom so much but it would be very nice if there is an option of Chinese Language!

Why no blue whale?? 😀 this is an excellent app. The only thing I feel will make this better is maybe an external library of additional items eg blue whales, quarks, lions etc maybe even a community or user provided library!!

Very cool app... great learning tool for children and great app for adults who wish to expand their own knowledge. Concept is very good, well implemented, and very creative. This is an app every family needs.

What a wonderful app for adults or kids. The fact that you can scroll through subatomic sized particles all the way to the largest size objects in outer space what, and get a sense of the size relationship is amazing. I honestly love UniversalZoom, makes me feel good (yes it’s dorky but true).

This reminds us of the lens pull-out 🔭 from the earth 🌎 to the far reaches beyond our galaxy✨ in the film Contact; it’s a classic with the adults & kids in our family. Infinite zoom, revealing great diversity in infinite time/space🖖🏻 simply done. Good work 👍🏻 and thank you

UniversalZoom is amazing! No ads and no in app purchase. Whoever created it is very smart and a kind individual. I think it is fascinating to see relative sizes of so many things. I bet kids would love UniversalZoom. I’m an adult and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Mind expanding, profound, and fun! I had high hopes for the use of computers for simulation and education having come from the era of Sim Earth, and Microsoft Space but instead its smashing animals, sword fights, and ten thousand versions of tic-tac-toe.

Thank you for this! Please consider a subatomic simulation and and time/space sim.

When the iPad first came out it was apps that changed how you see things that excites me most. This is one of the best. The comparisons are so interesting, and even the information about each object is fascinating. Unlike a lot of time wasters, UniversalZoom is well worth your attention!

Can you add a feature were you can add your own objects please? You can get a picture from you photo library, crop the photo or not then set the scale of the object! It would be that simple! Now please add something like this! I would like UniversalZoom 10 times better!

UniversalZoom is quite simply amazing! The ONLY thing that it has not answered is the question, ”WHY had I NEVER heard of UniversalZoom before now?” People, when you find a good (GREAT) thing you should shout it from the Social Media rooftops!! Personally, I will be telling everyone that I know about this little slice of developed heaven pie!!

Like one other reviewer wrote, UniversalZoom is listed for ages 9 to 11. But this is easily an app that goes at the college level and beyond and is fantastic - at any grade level. It kept me fascinated in my doctors office for about 30 minutes.
Kids love it too. It kept my seven-year-old busy for about an hour one day. It’s a size relativity application, as it is kind of hard to explain what it does. Trust me at any price it’s worth it.
