I thought this was going to be a great app to use, but a month into it and I'm seeing I was terribly wrong! I downloaded and then purchased the premium package, so I could keep all the photos I needed, and have access, etc etc. A month after paying for the full premium version, I go back in to add pictures, and the entire previous albums are gone! Can't access any backup info. Albums gone. And now it won't let me add new albums! What a ripoff! DO NOT BUY PrivateVault!!

Developers, you need to fix your junk!

PrivateVault is not worthy of being on Apple site because the developer he is not able to be gotten a hold of and PrivateVault is not what it states for the most part and there's too many negative reviews on this already so need I say more?? The developer needs to address this issue if they are legitimate which for their sake I hope they are. But from my experience I did not get what I hoped for or even wanted to pay for so now I am deleting PrivateVault do not get PrivateVault and less you want to play games and lose money but who in their right mind wants to do that?? Be careful consumer!!!

PrivateVault was great when I first purchased it several years ago. I invested a lot of time organizing my photo albums, separating the x-rated material from everything else. The idea is clever and this particular app provided a truly hidden photo interface. Even the calculator was useful and not at all a gimmick. After that last update (either PrivateVault updated, or my switch to the iPhone 7 Plus, or both), PrivateVault will now crash when uploading 5 or more photos. It does this every time. If you select 4 photos, it will not crash. This is not an intermittent problem and it doesn't appear that anybody is home on the developer/customer service end. It's disappointing.

I got PrivateVault to use for private storage of files. After a few months, I noticed PrivateVault appearing in my "Siri Suggestions" menu even when I hadn't accessed it in days or weeks. I immediately deleted all of my files, which moved to a trash folder that I am unable to empty, but if they are trashed, that means they are recoverable and thus still exist somewhere. I can't recover them without upgrading to premium, and there is no way to contact the developers (One Wave SE). I will not be using their services in the future.

At first I thought PrivateVault was really good but that wasn’t true at all! First, there is no way to share the subscription across you apple devices unlike any other ios app so even if you have purchased subscription when you download it on your other apple device you have to pay again! Of course you can’t even restore your album on another apple device at all either! Second, there is no way to download your photos as a whole! You have to download each one of them separately! There is a back up function but it is completely useless! Do not pay for PrivateVault I completely regret that I did!

I like the concept. the fact that it’s hidden to look and work like a calculator but can hold private files. my only drawback is that after my free trial ended, I decided to downgrade and keep the free version. I had about 27 photos saved. when I tried adding another one, it said I reached my limit. so I deleted 7 files. now I’m down to 20. okay, I try to upload a file again but again I was told I reached my limit. I can’t find anywhere in the faq or the description where it states what exactly is the limit for the free version

It was a great app. It worked well and I moved all of my photos over to it so I could save storage. Then I realized it was very limited. And it couldn't keep all of the photos and videos I needed to store after the premium days expired. So I go to move it back to my regular photos so I could delete PrivateVault . AND I CANNOT EXPORT IT TO MY CAMERA ROLL WITHOUT PAYING THE MONEY!!! So now I have to keep PrivateVault that I do not want at all, and I can't get my photos and videos back. I am so angry and I want them back NOW. These photos and videos are extremely important to me. I want them back so bad. It's a scam, do not get PrivateVault. I hate PrivateVault so much. How can I email them?

I don’t have much room in my iCloud storage, so, I paid for a month subscription and put all 2,000+ photos on my phone into PrivateVault hoping I could transfer it over to my new phone and they never transferred. YOU CAN’T even move groups of photos out, you have to do it one at a time.. I tried downloading PrivateVault on the new device to see if I could just use my passcode and get in. No. It just set up a new “vault” I’m sincerely disappointed and want my money back.. those photos were important to me, and I lost them trying to trust PrivateVault.
The flip side, it is a good disguise and hides your photos from other people. They never suspect that your photos are in a calculator. Lol!
So, if you don’t plan on moving phones and use PrivateVault as a moving tool, I think you’ll be fine.

I got the free version, then imported all my photos that I wanted to store. After doing so, PrivateVault encourages you to delete the photos from your camera roll. Once I did this, and later wanted to export a photo from my vault back to my camera roll so I could use it, PrivateVault informed me I can't export without the paid version! So basically they force you to buy the subscription if you ever want access to your photos again! What a scam! Find a different app, there are many others that do the same thing, without tricking you into paying them money.

I just got PrivateVault and right off the bat notice a couple of problems with PrivateVault . Don't get me wrong i like PrivateVault so far but there just are some frustrating glitches.
Pros:
fast importing of photos (idk about videos)
Clean Design
Actual working calc

Cons:
Browser glitches out every time i try and use it (whether it is in horizontal mode or just by pressing the previous page button causes it to freak and stop working for me)
Requires a subscription pass to do stuff that i dont care about and constant annoyance from it
Useless tabs that PrivateVault has (which are badly implemented)
Lastly there is no way for you to retry your password (to sign in) w/out having to do some math to equal your combination back to a reset (could be fixed by just adding a shaking mechanic that resets the password for the user.

I think this is the best secret app so far and will continue to use it

I need app support but can’t seem to find a link or email for the developer when routed to their website it only shows up with a download for PrivateVault I already have I have forgotten my password and need a reset or them to send me my password but do not know how to reach them five stars otherwise

Pros: keeps those photos you'd like to keep private out of your general photo album so you don't have them seen by accident! I haven't expanded my uses for passwords or anything else so far bc you have to do a separate back up for the cloud.
Cons: If you decide to put a password on a folder, I have no idea how you change it or remove it later.

It's a good app, it would be more appealing if it had verification none of the photos were going to get leaked, and there should be a free version. It would get a lot of more attention and more people would use it. Usually being an app creator or a app developer, you want people to use your app. Not in this case, $3 a month isn't bad but it's a bit much for a "secure" photo storing center. 3/4

I haven't had a problem with PrivateVault since I got it. But I would like it if I was able to delete duplicates. I recently had to restore my phone and all the pictures and video I had in here before were lost. I got a new phone and when I backed up the pictures I had in here. Two of each folders came up. And if I delete one folder it will delete all my pictures now. Please fix

I have used PrivateVault for the past 3 years and have been paying the premium subscription for it and it has a bunch of my pictures and videos saved in it but after the news iOS update I’m no longer able to get into it to view my pictures. Please send an update or tell me how to get all of my pictures out of it.

Really like PrivateVault & its functionality.
I use it mainly for securely storing my passwords. And the photo album side of it is also pretty sweet! Just understand, if you delete the photos from your camera role following uploading them to an album, it will delete them from the cloud also. I recommend keeping them in the "recently deleted" folder. That way you can upload them back to the cloud if you get a new phone. If PrivateVault didn't do this, it would have been a 5-Stat review!

Well right now it's awesome but I do t like the fact that it takes your money by starting a monthly trial I say don't do it because they are taking your money! 😡
But right now it's working and it's awesome because if someone try's to get in my phone I can have secret photos in there and they'll just thinks it's a normal calculator! 🤗😏😒😞😔😟😕🙁☹️😣😖😫😩😤😠😡😶

I love PrivateVault it was amazing!! Now all my photos I don't want my parents or my friends to see is safe in a lock 🔐 (well kinda 😂)LOVE IT!! bc those times that your friends take ur phone without your permission that can't see embarrassing photos of you!i rated this 5 star ⭐️ because I loved PrivateVault !!! So I had this ex that at the time I got PrivateVault I was dating and I needed a place to find photos of txt messages I found on his phone and other things I didn't want him to see because he would look at my phone. So I found PrivateVault and at first I thought it was just the picture of a calculator but when I learned that it was both I was like yes!!!! So for other ppl it can be used as a calculator but if you have the password and know the button to log in then it is a secret photo finder. Best app ever I would soooo get it!!!

PrivateVault is soooooo amazing not only can you hide your personal pictures from friends or family but you can even use it as a calculator! I was extremely extremely excited when I first got this and it was actually working like a real Calculator! I usually don't use my Calculator so I put in a folder with a bunch of other apps in it and you can't see it. It's amazing because my friend asked me if she could use My calculator on my phone and she used PrivateVault! I was really scared that she was going to unlock it but she said thanks and then she handed it back! I love PrivateVault so so so much!
