Love this cute little game

I just did my third time rewind and I think it’s such a cool thing to keep the game going. I’m always so excited to see what the new animal is going to be. It reminds me of those little capsules that you’d put in water and a little surprise sponge animal would pop out. I loved those things. The art style is super cute too, and the variety of animals is awesome. Hope you guys add more to this in the future, but for now I’m very excited to see what the other timeless animals will be. Not only that but the ads you have to watch for extra lives are so much better now. They’re much more relevant to the demographic that would be playing this and they don’t make me uncomfortable with rampant sexism like the older “Game of Sultans” ads used to do. Please stay on top of this, don’t give money to ad companies that are gonna put ads on your platform that drive your demographic away. I sincerely appreciate that the ads aren’t forced though. That’s always been awesome about this game.
Anyway, love this game and I’m happy to give it 5 stars.

Time Machine loses everything

I loved this game and almost had all the diamond statues that I wanted and then they released a time machine feature and I thought, wow, how cool is that?! And then I used it and everything I loved in the game disappeared. All of the things I had accomplished were gone. My zoo was reset to nothing. I had zero to show for all the hours I put in. All those statues my spouse got for me to help me out: gone. Whoever was responsible for the time machine feature should be forced to build a beautiful house that they think they'll get to live in and then just before it's done, someone should ask them, "Do you want a piece of fresh-baked bread?" Because of course who wouldn't want a piece of fresh-baked bread? And then when they take the bread, this someone will say, "oh, you took the bread, yay, that means your house will be incinerated." And then the house should be incinerated before their eyes. "But that's okay," someone will say, "because you can start ALL OVER, yay! Your sink can be a different color now." That would be pretty fair, I think. At least put a warning dialog box that says your zoo will lose everything if you use the time machine, okay? Because time machines--like, one would assume I could just use the same time machine and get back to my time, you know? What happened to the time machine after I used it, game creators?! Huh? Even my time machine disappeared! Pft.

Disco Zoo is back baby

I randomly went into my old games folder on my phone yesterday, come to find out that one of my FAVORITE games from over many years was updated. Disco Zoo is the perfect combination of puzzle, idle, and management game rolled into one. It doesn’t have pushy ads, just ads you can choose to watch for more tries at rescuing animals.
Resetting my zoo with the new time machine feature really hurt deep down, I’d been playing it for literally years on and off, I had every habitat possible maxed and had 37 diamond trophies. It was so worth it though because it’s a brand new game and it still keeps track of your diamond trophy count on the stats page, so not all is lost. Just buy whatever decor you want before you reset all your coins! I made that mistake, I could have had so many hats and so many of “the dress” (callback to 2014 or something, I love it)
All in all, this game is so unlike any other I’ve played, and all I do is play mobile games. It’s a classic, all time favorite, and banger of a game, I highly recommend playing it! :)

One of the best Mobile Games Ever!

First time writing a review, so I’ll keep it short. This game. Is. A M A Z I N G!!!!!!! I had it a long time ago and I deleted it for some reason (I was all the way to Mars AND the Jurassic) so I decided to redownload it last night, and I remembered a hidden mini game! Funky Bus. Love it, because it both starts with the same letters as Flappy Bird and the music is amazing. If any of you would like to know about how to get to it, scroll to the very far left, at the parking lot with the office. It’s right next to the hangar. Then click on the bus that’s parked in the lot three times, and boom! It’s Flappy Bird all over again 😂😂 Anyway the actual gameplay and music is amazing. I love how you designed your In-App Purchases, so that they don’t pester you to buy them every three seconds lol. LOVE IT!!

Overall review: I think everybody should download this game. It’s truly amazing, with almost no ads. The only time you get one is if you manually click on one because you get a reward. ANYWAY EVERYONE SHOULD DOWNLOAD THID APP IT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY! 🎉🎉🎉

Fun game to pass the time

This is one of those rare gem of a game that you can play without being forced to watch ads. You don’t need to spend real cash to advance in the game. The gameplay is easy and fun enough for a child but yet still satisfying and fun for an adult.
The latest update is a little more challenging than before. It can be frustrating that to get each timeless animal you need to rewind the game. It resets you back to the beginning of the game. You lose all of the animals you have rescued along with coins but keep all of your discobux and space coins. I have rewound my game 5 times now. For all of the complaints about this, the game explains and warns you what will happen. If you choose to not spend the few moments to read the dialogue boxes then blame yourself, not the game. Yes it would be nice to not have to rescue all of the animals again and again but it is what it is and I want to discover all the timeless animals!!!!!

Disco Zoo: The Model Mobile Game

Disco Zoo is a idle puzzle game where you collect animals and slowly develop a bustling zoo. I give this game five stars for many reasons.

1. There are minimal ads. The only time you ever, and I truly mean ever, run into an ad is if you intentionally opt to watch one for extra moves in a rescue. This is a great model because not only are you not pestering your beautiful game with ads everywhere, but you’re actually motivated to watch it because you get something in return.
2. Replay-ability. You would think a game about tapping squares and collecting animals would get boring after a while, but this game keeps you coming back with features like trophies, timeless animals, and little side-missions to break up the routine of rescuing animals.
3. The rest of it. At this point I might sound like i’m just worshipping the game more than reviewing it, but this is a valid reason to install this game. Everything from the art style, the music, and even the satisfying gratification of getting an animal are all what make this game so amazing. It might sound dumb that you should install a game for it’s looks or sounds, but to me it’s the attention to detail is what makes a game.

So if those reasons don’t convince you to install Disco Zoo, than I’ll leave you with one more thing; there are unicorns.

Really good incremental game

I really enjoy this game and am glad the developer has kept it updated. It’s really fun to play here and there when I have a few minutes during a break.

I appreciate that ads are optional only, and that IAP are also only optional. I did buy the Zoopedia IAP to support the developer as well as for convenience.

The game runs smoothly with no issues, and doesn’t use much battery. It’s a nice moment of fun during a stressful day. And you’re always making a bit of progress. I highly recommend this game for busy people who like incremental games but can’t spend a ton of time each day. You’ll also enjoy the puzzle game to rescue animals. It’s a fun challenge that’s not stressful. Overall this is a really relaxing game.

This game is simply wonderful

I have been playing this game for a long while in my pass time, and managed to get diamond trophies for every animal (excluding the space animals - because those guys take a while). With the latest update came a bittersweet moment, where I had to say goodbye to all my animals for now, and go back in time. Thank you nimblebit for finally updating, I look forward to what more you have in store for this silly and endearing little game :_)

Edit 2022:
I recently have gotten back into this game with a new account, and I have to say there are just a couple very noticeable problems:

1. I don’t think it is fair to have situations where you have to choose between animals even if you do everything correctly. For example, if you were exploring farm and are searching sheep, pig, and unicorn, you would be forced to give one of them up or pay to continue playing even if you do everything correctly and don’t miss any tiles. That is simply unfair…

2. Searching for missing animals sometimes gives really bad rewards at higher levels to the point where it’s sometimes not even worth it. I currently am making 800+ coins per minute — and just today I searched for 8 moonkeys and earned a measly 500 coins :/

AMAZING!!!

Disco Zoo is one of those practically perfect games. The little pixel-y creatures are adorable, rescuing animals is fun, and you don’t have to spend real money to progress in the game! Just when you think you know everything there is to know, the game surprises you and you unlock a new feature! I love it! I wish I could give this game more than 5 stars! Would totally recommend for anyone of any age! I think the reviews the critics give you in the game of your zoo is a really nice feature. Love this game and would say more but I don’t want to spoil too much! Thank you developers for making a game where you don’t have to spend real money that has good quality. Some games where you don’t have to spend real money are really bad, but this game is not one of them. Love it!!!

A smash hit!

I love disco zoo, and even though I have only played a couple days, I have grown exponentially. It’s an incredible game with lots of witty humor. A few tidbits I think would be helpful to add to the experience is cheaper balls, a larger animal max, and maybe more decor options. A glitch I have found annoying is sometimes, when I watch an ad to get more rescue attempts, it glitches and I don’t get the extra attempts. It will also glitch during a rescue, leaving me with s lot of coins down the drain because of a crash. The types of animals are great and creative, but some of the types of animals that would be cool would be Chinese animals, such as pandas and monkeys, and red pandas, and also maybe sea animals, like sharks, starfish, crabs, and fish. A bird section would also be cool! This game is great overall, and I highly recommend it! I ♥️ disco zoo!

Great game, WAY better ad system!

First, I’ll say the main thing. This game is fun and very addictive! I like how it’s easy to play and, for the first time, a non pay to play game! I also love that bus Easter egg! But here’s one of the BEST things; the AD SYSTEM! For the first time in a free game, I don’t EVER get pop up ads! ( by that I mean the ones that are unskipable that I don’t choose that cover the whole screen. ) Instead, you just watch an ad for the search animals game if you want/need! And if you don’t choose it, they don’t pop an ad up. Of course there’s the other one, but you have to tap a car to get it, so, not a problem either! I really love how simple, fun, and addicting this game is! I hope this never changes :D

Amazing game with one complaint

I’ve been playing this game for like three years on and off again, but late last year I finally decided to grind and get as far as I could. The only annoying thing about getting very far in the game is that the animals fall asleep what feels like every two seconds. I have 66 habitats currently and every 15 minutes I have 6 of them asleep. I wish the sleep times were at LEAST like an hour. Getting a notification that my multiple animals are asleep when I just woke them up Is so tiring LOL. Other than that, the goals are fun, it’s very well made, and I love the puzzles! As well as the clever mystery animals.

Super Fun, Cute, and Achievable

I'm one of those people that likes to write in-depth reviews so you can know what you're getting yourself into/if a game is worth your time. This one is. I won't spoil it for you but it's super cute, fun, and you don't have to spend money at all (thank you, developers!!!). I love the creativity in the idea of the game and how you move forward in it and thanks for making it not hard to get discobuxs. Also, this game is great if you want to practice your memory a bit and if you're nursing/taking care of a baby, you can stop at any point to take care of the baby and not feel like you're missing the game. Thank you developers for this awesome game!!

Just two problems for me otherwise I love it!

I really like this game and the cute animal noises are adorable as well. I play every day, but there is one problem. When you rescue animals and don’t get every single one, there is an option to watch an ad to get 5 more tries. But recently it said I can’t use free tries anymore. But I watch an ad for them so it isn’t exactly free. My second problem is that whenever you rescue animals. They put disco bux in your piggy bank. Whenever it gets full, you have to pay to empty it. What is the point of saving up in the piggy bank when you can’t even get the disco bux anyway? But otherwise, those are the only problems I have? Love the game though.

Perfect mobile game

Disco Zoo is amazing. It’s just enough to keep you entertained but just simple enough for you to be multitasking. The puzzle element really gets you thinking about the placement of the animals and the interface is just as detailed and fun as Tiny Tower’s. It’s the kinda game that doesn’t take up your whole day but the time you do spend with it is fun. Watching ads is completely optional and when you do, it rewards you in the game. I’m never deleting this game off my phone unless I somehow 100% complete it, which is going to take a while due to the time traveling mechanic and my urge to get every diamond trophy.

Ideas and I love this app

So I think that DiscoZoo is really fun, I had it when I was younger and hated it but probably because of my low patience. I have it again and I can’t figure out why I ever deleted it. Anyways I think it is fun and I love the little amount of ads, however I feel like it has a lot of potential like for example. When you get the animals you cannot do anything with them except have them dance or get more animals. I feel like you should be able to feed your animals and interact with them more. I do not know if you can do this stuff and I’m just not aware, however I think those would be some great improvements to the game.

My favorite app

I have played DiscoZoo for a while now. I first played it on my tablet and I loved it. Then when I got my phone, I still played it even though I had to restart. I just love this game so much! I love how you can collect animals and build up your zoo, even on the go. I’ve noticed that a lot of people are mad about the new addition: the time machine, but I personally love it, as you can restart your zoo but then get even more new animals. Since I basically finished disco zoo at first, this was great for me because I could replay the game a bunch of times and find new things. I just really enjoy this game, and I hope they add even more great future updates.

Love it or die

Disco zoo is amazing you are basically a zoo owner and you go on rescue missions with coins that your animals earn you and you find the patterns and then get that animal then they build a pen for the animals and there you go and then for discobux you get to start a disco and your animals fall alsleep so stay like a one minute disco and I wakes them all up. And you get coins from people . The only thing I suggest is an ocean thing cause like you have all animals exempt water like whales dolphins orcas fish eels and then like a sea wing it's a kinda dragon or a sea dragon same thing really as the mythical and like a seahorse too thanks for making DiscoZoo it's really fun

Suggestions

First off, incredible game. 10/10, would play again. Second of all, I have some suggestions that would make the game a lot better.
1) Tip jar - any tips you miss are stored in a tip jar that can be opened with one discobux. The limit is how many additions you have to your freedom farm. Once you get your first freedom farm, you get the tip jar. Every upgrade or addition you get adds 1000 coin storage to the jar. The jar should be where the ticket sales guy is, at the entrance in the bottom right corner.
2) Discobux/coin converter - you should be able to convert 1 discobux to 3 times your current coins per second. It would make the game faster and more interesting. Do whatever numbers you seem fit, but please do the converter in the zoo office.
3) During disco parties, tips should be bigger and more often.
4) For animals that come in varying colors in real life, you should add different colors in game
5) I wish we could watch ads for coins and discobux in the store
That’s all, thank you, have a great day.

I LOVE THIS GAME, but just a few changes, please

Disco zoo is my favorite game!!!💗💗💗 I love all the cute pixel animals and people!! Just a few changes would make this game PERFECT. First of all, the balls are WAY too expensive. Second of all, there should be more rescues with discobux, because I don't have so much. Also, there should be more of those moon coins for sending animals to space. Speaking of that, I just LOVE how you can get moon animals! The names of them are really funny, like " lunar tick"! I also love how you can rescue mythological animals! Overall, I love this game, and I'm 99.9 percent sure that this will always be my favorite game!!!! #discozoorocks!!!

Awesome Game

Out of all the games i've ever played (there's been a lot), Disco zoo is one of my favorites. i got Disco zoo when i was in 2nd grade on my dads ipad, i used to play it whenever he would let me. Now i'm in 6th grade and i just recently got my phone and also just recently downloaded Disco zoo. There is definitely some MAJOR things that make this game better than others,
1. There really isn't any ads unless you ask for them to get more attempts or something
2. The animals are pretty easy to find, what i mean is that it's only a 5x5 board and that makes it easy to find animals, unlike other games where it's like a 8x8 board and almost impossible to find the things you're looking for.
3. Last but not least i love this game mainly because it's entertaining, enjoyable, fun, interesting, and colorful, there is nothing that i would change about this game because it's already the best.

This game is awesome and if you don't already have it, it should be your primary download 🦄🪩😁5️⃣☮️

fun game, inappropriate ads

If you are looking for a relaxing and fun game, this is the game for you! This game does not bombard you with ads, they allow you to choose when you watch them. This leads into my issue. I have received two highly inappropriate advertisements that I don’t think would be appropriate to have in a game that is labeled 4+ on DiscoZoo store.

The advertisements shows an animated woman getting stuck under a bed with a maid costume on, the camera pans to her under the bed with a bra on and her breast bouncing. The girl has the option to “shake her a**” because her “master” is watching. I personally think this is an inappropriate advertisement on an app where you get to rescue animals and throw a disco party for said animals. I am unsure of how to report this ad, but would like parents to be aware of the ads that are shown on this game

Thanks, Disco Zoo

I don't know how many years later, and I'm riding a funky bus in my new disco zoo. Maybe even a decade by now, I'm not sure. I played this game forever ago on my dad’s spare phone; I don't even remember how old I was. I'm fifteen now. I don't care if my peers think I'm weird, but I will start this game from scratch. Mark my words, I will grind this game out like it's nobody’s business in public, in class, anywhere. God, I love going back. And I hope 🙏 that lil Timmy or Jimmy or Ashley or Maria is having fun with this game right now while I write this review. Then, I hope in seven years, in the dead of night, they think “disco zoo,” download it, and write this same review.

It’s Seen It’s Day

Years ago when this game was new, it might’ve been OK- cell phone games were pretty simple. But in the era Genshin Impact and other full console quality games hitting smartphones, it’s a simplistic and unsatisfying Tamagotchi mixed with super simplistic Battleship style guessing game “puzzles” to stock your zoo with animals… and you buy off the game to “solve” them and get all of the animals with tons of ads. Ads and ads if you don’t want to hemorrhage coins or cough up your credit card. No problem, if they want to make money, fine… but be prepared for ads and ads and ads. Really long ads.
The time machine feature basically is a mildly incentivized (don’t leave us- we like your revenue!) reset, because the game itself is so short- go back to the beginning instead of walking away, and we’ll make a new rare animal available for rescue.

By

My favorite game

I’ve had this game since I was a teenager I’ve played it on and off over the years but I’m still not even close to finishing evening you can do in the game there’s so much you can achieve to “finish” the game. I love games where you build up progress and buy things and expand plus they added a Time Machine so you can add legendary animals now too which I’m so excited to try!! I could not say enough about this game it’ll be years before I ever finish everything in it and I look forward to playing every minute of it. So if you’re looking for a game to invest time into this is it!

This is a good game, not the best, but im still playing after all these years.

Ooooohhh look at da liddle sheepies! But seriously, all the animals are adorable. I don’t believe i ever got beyond the ice age zone, but still absolutely loved it. And the music, the music is great! I realize recently that the music is songs off the internet and not all composed specifically for the game, but it is still good. I like the addition of the timeless animals too, a nice late game thing. The funky bus easter egg is pretty funky too (high score: 185). Now addressing the microtransactions, you can do just fine without them, they are practically the opposite of shoved down your throat, and honestly, 2 dollars for 50 discobux is a pretty good deal. Speaking of discobux, pretty effective premium currency. Just the right amount of difficulty to get. Also this game pretty much introduced me to certain folklore things such as the tiddalik or the akhult. Its educational too! I also love that if you tap your finger inside of an animal pen the animals will make a b-line to that location as long as you hold. Overall, great game! Lotsa fun, cute little animals, and good mechanics. My favorite mythical animal is the marsmallow because it’s adorable and hilarious.
