Badger Maps: #1 Route Planner Reviews

Badger makes my outside sales career a breeze! I am so in love with the ease of use. I use the “lasso” too to pick a handful of accounts in an area and let Badger optimize the best route possible. Every stop I navigate to on the route, I “check-in” and write what I did or talked about. The check-ins are saved and I also send export them to a PDF to send to my boss weekly. I use notes to enter names of people and account info. I also customized my filterable search material by accounts that order the most and color coded the map. Our nationwide company currently doesn’t have a CRM and next week I show my boss the ropes on Badger in hopes he takes it to the President because EVERY salesperson needs this. I use BadgerMaps at least 10-15 times a day at every stop and to see where I am going next. I save my routes by days of the week and by area. On my way home today, I was done my route early so I opened Badger to see which accounts I could hit on my way home and stopped to prospect one more account. It’s the most productive tool ever! I don’t know how salespeople live without it to be honest. It’s a MUST TRY and so self-explanatory to use. Also, someone from Badger has chatted with me online to help me with a question one night and you just can’t get customer service like that. I highly recommend this and hope our company purchases this for all our 600 reps nationwide. Keep up the good work Badger!!

Badger is vital to organization. At this point I don’t see how could do my day to day field sales without it. I really love how I can upload all my leads at once then map out my day based on the area I’ll be working. I always colorize my accounts to see how long it’s been since I was last at a place. One of the best features is the check-in. It really helps to look back and see what transpired at my last visit and also the time of day I stopped by. This way if I didn’t catch a client in the morning I know to go back in the afternoon. I’ve been using Badger for over a year now and the customer service is A+. The folks at Badger are always helpful and reachable by phone or email. They also return calls. If you do outside sales, travel to see clients and haven’t used Badger, definitely give it a try. It will make your days so much easier and I have no doubt that you’ll love it.

I use to use Microsoft Streets and Trips to plan out my daily sales calls but of course they stopped supporting their software. I work the Atlanta market so having up to date information is critical to efficiently plan my days.

That put me on the search for a good replacement. After trying other mapping software, I fortunately found Badger. It’s a great app that allows me to create multiple routes for each day of the week. I copy and paste addresses of existing customers then add in prospects to cold call. Badger then allows me to set my beginning and ending address (home), how long I will spend at each call and to optimize my route to maximize my time while saving gas. I plan my day on my desktop and save my route, which instantly syncs with my iPhone app. I then navigate to each stop from my phone. Just an excellent app to plan your trips!

A couple of negatives, which are minor. Streets and Trips allowed me to import Excel files with prospect lists, which I could easily choose for routing. Badger doesn’t allow this. The second negative is the amount of accounts you can sync with Salesforce before you have to pay more. I just have too many customers to justify the extra cost. The Salesforce integration is great and works very well.

I would highly recommend this route planning software to any sales professionals looking to efficiently plan their calls.

I’ve been using Badger for about a year now and it is a great tool to optimize your route and spend less time planning client visits. I love the real-time feature that shows you estimated time of arrival as you adjust the route. When meetings get canceled or delayed you can maximize that lost time by finding another stop. There’s some decent territory management features as well, but the real opportunity there is when Badger makes connection to other CRMs possible (a feature in the works). Finally, their support team has been very supportive in addressing any issues and even making some custom changes to the software.

Badger Maps has made all the difference! I was using MapView and wowwww, the developers just stopped caring about BadgerMaps and customers. BadgerMaps hadn't had any major updates in 2 years and it was impossible to get assistance quickly. I made the switch recently and I couldn't be happier! Not only is BadgerMaps and support better, but I find myself no longer being late to meetings, and I love that it syncs with my Google and Apple Calendar and address book. I also enjoy helpful features like the check-ins and notes so I can add things like pictures or important client information all in their contact info.

I use badger everyday to create and then re-use routes. I have a 7 week rotation of routes 3-4 days a week, about 25 routes total. I am building a consulting business and Badger has been indispensable in finding potential clients and building routes. I just set the search parameters, select the locations, hit optimize, and I have a great route. Every 7 weeks when I return to that route I repopulate and badger discovers new locations long before many of them have much of a discoverable digital presence. After 15 months of this, my last 3 months have been consecutive records in gross sales. Couldn’t have done it without badger.

Effective means to keep tabs on your territory, especially with the visualization tool so you can see where you’ve stopped by recently and, conversely, areas you need to circle back to. Also, the optimize tool is helpful in streamlining/limiting additional time spent on trips to find the best routes. Lack of synchronization with CRM, bugs related to simply typing text into the fields and not being able to delete/edit are really odd (phone number field, specifically). Otherwise BadgerMaps has great potential if they continue to upgrade/optimize certain features. 4 stars for now!

BadgerMaps is exactly what I needed! I work in outside sales/business development and travel everyday for work. BadgerMaps not only allows me to keep track of who I visited, when I last visited them, important documentation for each account/prospect, it also provides me with leads that I might have not visited before or called on. It quite perfect actually and I highly recommend downloading BadgerMaps. Lastly, their customer service is extremely quick to answer any and all questions you may have in a timely manner. Sure it’ll help you map your route but it’s so much more it will help you find customers that you didn’t even know were there it helps to generate call reports to keep your boss happy And more important it helps you stay organized so that you know what’s been done with every sales call every email every phone call that you make and every time you go back and follow up on the customer you click a button and review it and you get on with the task at hand.

Awesome tool for anyone needing to increase productivity or track client relations. The routing portion of BadgerMaps works perfectly. Everything runs off an excel file so parameters and specific client info is all customizable. Exporting the data at the end of the week is a breeze, the excel file I receive is all I request as a “report” from my sales force. We use it for 800+ clients across the state, saves time in the day, reminds my folks who they need to call when, easier to use than others. The customer service is impeccable. Of course 5 stars.

Their server occasionally gets busy and slows down but not often. Great for setting routes, keeping notes for accounts (contacts, staff names, order preferences). Really like to ability to look for new accounts in a particular area. I use via both web and app, both easy to work with.

Customer service has been very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Just wish I could outline my sales territory like streets and trips used to let me.

Badger has been an amazing tool to help me plan my day more efficiently. As an outside sales rep, I have adjust to daily changes to the locations of my meetings. The lasso tool feature allows me to create the most efficient route between meeting locations. Eliminating the busy work of route planning has saved me a ton of time. With less time spent on driving and planning, I now have more time to meet with prospects. If you are a field sales rep BadgerMaps is for you!

I’ve been using Badger Maps heavily since June 2020. It’s been a key part of my business and has allowed me to quickly create maps and routes. The latest redesign while very nice has caused some unacceptable delays, but due to constant improvement by developers those are mostly in the past. I still save all the time because I’m in fear of losing my work, but it’s better. Love how I can plan routes on desktop and bring them up on mobile and vice versa. Glad most of the bugs have been squashed and we’re returning to the stable Badger Maps we love.

Badger Maps has changed my life! What I really love about them are their two features, route optimization and calendar integration. Both of these have made my life as a sales rep much more efficient! The route optimization helps map me the best route so I drive less and can focus on my customer while the calendar send me notifications and allows me to see all my appointments so I stay on track. I would highly recommend BadgerMaps to anyone in sales. It saves you fuel, time, and money!

BadgerMaps has potential We are doing a trial for 3 medium size sales teams in CA, AZ and NV. It was able to identify several new leads and map a route (there was some backtracking on 2 occasions, which could be user error but we would never know because there’s no support!! Also it doesn’t do quite what they advertise, many of the features are “coming” specifically integration with CRM, but worse than that there is no response to calls or email from anyone at the company. They sent 3 auto generated replies and thats all the support they offer, I left 3 messages, sent several email and got one call / email back from a rep who never called back again after leaving him multiple messages and email. Good luck

Customer service is always extremely prompt and the route creation is a feature that cannot be beat. There are several items I have no doubts they will be adding in the near future to make this a must have for any on the road sales rep. The easier they can help us stay organized while working out of the car, the better. They are working hard to get there and I cannot wait to see what is in store!

I use badger for my outside sales role almost every day. It’s great, but with the most recent update BadgerMaps crashes almost every time I’m navigating my route on my iPhone 8. I also miss the ability to view multiple saved places on the map at once. I hate having to go back and click each one and go back and look at the map. There should be the possibility to click multiple saved places at once, especially being in a med device role when I want to see multiple doctor specialties at once.

I have been using Badger for a couple years as a solo sales person/owner. I like that new features keep being added. I do like that I can add photos at check in, I would like to add a photo to the account, like the main contacts card and eventually identify the information and auto add it to each field. A girl can hope! Also, listen to the podcast for great tips.

I never leave reviews but the people that run BadgerMaps are extremely frustrating to deal with. I have tried to set up an account for the past two weeks. I am now locked out of my account and they are asking for my credit card information again. Every time there is an issue I get an email from a completely different person within the company. They do not have one point of contact and it’s extremely frustrating accomplish anything. I had been using the trial and entered numerous account with detail info and I have now lost access to all of them unless I pay again?... very unorganized staff.

Badger Maps is the best! I have been using it for the past 6 months and it has helped my team acquire new clients in our area. There have been moments where a meeting has been canceled and I was able to discover potential clients through the lead generation tool. Without this tool, I don’t know how my team would be able to organize all of our accounts!

I have been using Badger since October 2018. First, I love the fact that you can speak “live” with an agent to help you when needed. The support is exceptional. Second, the help from agents makes it possible to make data very user friendly and pertinent. Third, the software has made my daily travel much more efficient then when I mapped all my own routes. Fourth, I love that I can keep notes on every client and potential client so I always know where I’m at with accounts. The only down fall that MUST be addressed is the ability to add actions into accounts that automatically pop up when due. Badger is putting together a work around for this but, an actual reminder by account would make this software and this company second to NONE!!!

As someone just starting out in territory sales this has been an incredibly valuable tool.
It’s a great way to easily keep track of where you have been , where you need to go and what specific needs each account has.
I use BadgerMaps on a daily basis and it has become something I rely on to keep my life running smoothly .

I decide my priorities and then I optimize the route on Badger. When I map out a stop I can immediately look around on the map and know who I’ve called on and who I haven’t called on therefore optimizing my time by being situationally aware at all times. Badger saves a ton of time in planning my day. At any given time I know who is nearby that is either a target or someone I should take them at least a minute to go visit.

Was wasting time other apps - making sales calls in an unfamiliar city and going back and forth between CRM app and Maps to figure out a route. Was so frustrated after first day that spent the evening back in my hotel room searching internet for alternative. Found Badger, uploaded my addresses and voila! There they all were. Sooooo easy - just lasso the ones to see and it’s mapped for me. OMG what a life saver.
