I am very disappointed in your app, especially the iPad version. I will keep the iPhone version, but the iPad version is useless, out of date, and now has ads. I paid for the iPad version twice, once for each iPad, no ads. It no longer does what it was advertised to do, and I want my money back... for each iPad. I will expect a credit or I will contact Apple.

On the iPhone version, it is out of date and the grammar poor. Most people who are looking for directions to a pool don’t know that perhaps you updated the Rec Centers and not the Pools. Why would you not update them all? Some pools in Southern Oaks are not even listed under Pools, even though they have been operational over a year. Willow Tree is an Adult Pool, not a Family Pool, and Chitty Chatty is not considered in Wildwood, it is in The Villages. Shall I go on? You certainly don’t do your homework.

When VillagesGPS works it is extremely helpful but I have tried running this on an iPad in two different iPhones and it has numerous problems when trying to load VillagesGPS . Most of the time it just says loading and you’re locked out from using VillagesGPS until you kill it and start it over again. Once it launches it has rerouted me incorrectly on a few occasions and it doesn’t appear that they are updating the paths on a regular basis. I think the Village app is better than VillagesGPS and it’s free. Also if you try to try to type in a new village address that is already defined on all other mapping apps, VillagesGPS can’t find the streets. I honestly think this is worth $1 and no more.

I bought my house in March but couldn’t get here until June, by then Florida had become one of the biggest hot spots for covid. Neighbors were welcoming and friendly but could not show me around in the golf cart. So I made daily exploration trips in the golf cart and found so many amazing shortcuts thanks to VillagesGPS ! It’s been an adventure every day. I could find these places in my car but golf carts are a big part of the fun in TV and VillagesGPS makes it so easy. One suggestion, the Country Club pools are marked FP for Family Pool, they should be PP for Premier Pool as only Premier members are allowed. Thanks, I look forward to more southern discoveries in the future!

The gps navigation works fairly well, but occasionally loses track of my location. A Google ad consistently appears on the navigation page directly below the START button. The ad often has its own start button which I have clicked by mistake. This is a deceptive practice in my opinion. VillagesGPS cost far more than the average price of VillagesGPS Store. It should not contain ads at all.

Used to love VillagesGPS, just opened it and it asked me to update it. I did the update, restarted my phone, opened it again and anything you touch on the screen causes VillagesGPS to shut down! Any way to get the previous version back?

Thanks for the fix, and I notice a couple of minor problems have been addressed. I’d give 5 stars, but this is not the first time this has happened after an update. Maybe a little more testing of the upgrade process?

VillagesGPS is very buggy and sometimes doesn’t find the obvious things like golf courses within the Villages. Search for the boat launch on lake Miona and you’ll wind up in a neighborhood instead about 100 yards away but 2 miles to get to by cart or car. It’s better than nothing but not by much.

Update- VillagesGPS is more reliable now (for me) and works well. I have also found if it doesn’t load up right away I need to close the other apps first.

Nicely improved since I first got it

This a very intuitive and user friendly app. I have spent a lifetime living in a city that is a simple grid layout and without GPS traveling to new places can be confusing. And that is just using roadways now there is a major network of beautiful golf cart paths to explore.
Entering an address is simple and using the preloaded destinations for shopping, country clubs, golf courses town squares are just a few screen touch away.
As a new full time Villages villa owner this GPS makes me feel “at home”. I travel this paradise with confidence. A trip by cart or car to a Town Square, a Rec Center, a golf course or a shopping run is a breeze.
I have seen some great scenery, nature and wildlife. It has taken me through places I never saw during the Lifestyle experience. Almost I every I discover something new.

I have used VillagesGPS exclusively for years because it has voice directions and always gets me to my destination. But yesterday the audio didn’t work. I emailed the staff and they responded IMMEDIATELY with help. But nothing solved the issue though they emailed me more than once with advice right away. Then they suggested I delete VillagesGPS and install it again from VillagesGPS Store. Now it works perfectly again. The staff’s quick help enabled me to get to the golf course on time using the voice directions. Kudos to a very responsive staff.

Using VillagesGPS opened up a whole new world for us. We visit family in the villages every year or two and love using the cart paths to get around,but never felt comfortable “cruising” until this year. With the help of VillagesGPS we were able to navigate the bridges, tunnels,check out several pools and jump from square to square for dinner and dancing all by cart. The cart driving is such a fun and unique experience and thanks to you we really enjoyed the villages this year!

This was one of the first apps I downloaded when I moved here in 2019 and I still use it, even in my car, to get around cuz TV keeps getting bigger & my “up-to-date” auto GPS isn’t keeping up!
Had a problem recently. I sent an email and w/in an hour or so, I has a response with a suggestion for fixing it. Turned out It was really tied to my app account - and not to the GPS app itself. Very happy with VillagesGPS & the support!

Regardless if you are a Villages resident or guest, VillagesGPS is essential for navigating or locating points of interest.
If you are going by car or golf cart you will get directions to hundreds of places, restaurants, recreation centers, golf, practice facilities, shopping, town squares snd so much more. I simply cannot imagine getting around the Villages on the extensive cart path network of bridges and tunnels without it.
I tell my guests, dvdn those down for a week to buy VillagesGPS and not a single person regretted the buy.

After purchasing and downloading VillagesGPS, I didn’t understand how to share it with my husband. I emailed the support team in the evening and had the solution in my inbox the next morning. Wow!
VillagesGPS does a wonderful job helping us newbies navigate to and from Villages amenities with voice directions and route maps. The point-to-point guidance (for example one home to another) provides maps of the routes without voice. VillagesGPS is essential on the somewhat confusing golf car maze.

I like listening to my music through my phone. And at the same time I want to know where I’m going. This village app allows me the beauty of both. When VillagesGPS is speaking of directions my music doesn’t come through. Then when VillagesGPS is done speaking of a direction the music comes back on automatically. The other village app I have to reach down and touchMy phone and turn on the music again. This is the best app ever. I got lost with the other app this one takes me right there.

I purchased VillagesGPS several years ago. When we were first visiting The Villages it was very convenient. We purchased a home in The Villages but rent it most of the year. When we do come down I use it especially going down to the new areas and going toward Spanish springs. Also good when meeting friends in places I am not familiar with. I had questions about VillagesGPS on several occasions and they are very quick to answer any questions or concerns. In my opinion very much worth having.

VillagesGPS is a must for anyone living or even vacationing in The Villages. It’s good with information about different locations around the community. Where it excels and is a must have is GPS navigation in a golf cart. The Villages is so vast and so many miles of golf cart paths. VillagesGPS provides everything you are used to in a mapping app but for golf carts. Turn by turn navigation and ETA are the biggest. (It also does time/directions to locations in a car but I just use my standard navigation for that.)

Some of the other features may be great. I just don’t use them. The navigation alone makes VillagesGPS a winner. I wish I could give it more stars! Do not worry about the $7 price. It will be the best $7 you will ever spend!

First, I’d like to thank the team at Villages GPS for their help in resolve an issue I was having with VillagesGPS . Communications with them were very easy and the instructions that they gave me were easy to follow. They had me up and running in short order. I’ve used VillagesGPS since 2018. It’s helped me navigate around the Villages with ease. A matter of fact I still use it now, because there’s always somewhere new to go to. I would highly recommend Villages GPS to anyone wanting to get around The Villages.

The best navigation tool available for very little money !

It has voice turn by turn directions which I have found to be very accurate. VillagesGPS itself is very intuitive. A special feature I really like and use often is called “Point to Point”. It allows you to compare time and distance to a point of interest. You can then compare that data from a separate second location.

VillagesGPS is extremely useful for someone just moving to The Villages. I would highly recommend it !

This is a great app to use when trying to get around the villages by golf cart. Like others have said however I would like for the music to automatically be lowered and then resume playing once the voice direction commands have been given. Other than that I can’t complain about VillagesGPS at all! Support is superior. I had issues with getting VillagesGPS to open after the update and I was in constant email with the support team who were quickly able to get the problem fixed so that VillagesGPS started working again. True customer service at its best!

I had been using the previous version of VillagesGPS on my iPhone (iPhone 11), which wasn’t geared toward iphones. It kept crashing. I finally got around to contacting the people at “Villages GPS” by email and they responded within a matter of minutes. There were a few emails back and forth during which it was explained to me that I needed the new version of VillagesGPS which does work on iPhones. I downloaded the new version, tested it out over the past few days, and am very happy with it. I highly recommend it! I think the people who have left bad reviews probably are using an older version of VillagesGPS .

Others have mentioned that the green villages app can be used for free, but when I used that app once, I knew I was going to do a one time purchase and use Villages GPS. The other app is just difficult to follow. Villages GPS is perfect and I have used it for everything, learning my way to the Villages Rec centers, golf courses and pretty much everything within the Villages. You won’t be disappointed. It’s worth every “one time fee” penny.
