DON'T waste your money! The maps don't work and there is no one to contact to ask for it to be fixed. As far as I can tell this is not a "planning" ap but a "listing" ap for things you figure out elsewhere. I wish I could get my money back. This is so doesn't even work.
I downloaded this in hopes it would help me organize my upcoming trip with my kids but there are some really vital features that are missing. You can't copy items onto multiple packing lists from the default making it time consuming to make lists for each child. Finally, unlike other apps, this one doesn't pull reservations emails and automatically incorporate them into the timeline, which also makes using ProTravelPlanner time consuming instead of time saving. :( too bad, I had high hopes!
ProTravelPlanner has so much promise. It offers lots of functionality and freedom to plan all sorts of trips with complicated itineraries. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work at all -- it constantly freezes, several functions just don't work, and it has a UI that is less than intuitive. I really wanted to like ProTravelPlanner! I have tried several of these and if this one worked, it would surpass all the other travel planning apps out there.
The idea is great, you can add places, friends, budgets, assign people to tasks, but the interface is really poor. You can't do anything on it easily and the buttons are all really big and looks like it is still in beta. You can't easily add PDF or travel itinerary. It's a good idea though, just needs lots of work.
An expensive confusing app. They charge annually to be able to sync between devices. This is why I usually do not purchase apps that have not been reviewed.
My husband and I put in all our trip information in and took it with us to Australia and it was a life saver! We kept using it all the time… It was really helpful to sync the devices so that we could both enter or update the information at the same time without having to share our iPhones (god forbid…). We will definitely keep using it for our next trips.
