Last Update rendered App unusable

2022-05-31

Downloaded the latest update & the application stopped working. I tap to open & it crashes. Opens & shuts down immediately.

Waste of Time

2022-07-02

App will not allow you to log in nor will it allow you to set up an account.

Sign up to use it?

Why? Deleting now!

A nightmare come true, this collaborative app is now owned by Facebook

Don’t allow to save pin, it dont keep history of your searches

No longer supported, unlikely to continue working (if it even still works).

Another one bites the dust.

Can’t log in ever

2022-12-07

Keep resetting my password then type it in but can never get past the login screen. I keep getting an error message when trying to log in.

Can’t log in with iPhone ?

2023-01-07

I did have Mapillary on my phone previously but, it was acting buggy so I decided to delete & reinstall- bad idea 😪
I’ve been unable to get it back on my iPhone?

Buggy. Slow

2023-02-08

Really wanted to use Mapillary as a way to document areas and complement OSM updates. Mapillary was just too slow and buggy on my iPhone 12 to be useful.

Very useful

2023-03-12

It is a wonderful service.
I just recommend changing the way we select images to upload. It is difficult to select when we are not clearly viewing what we are selecting, is grayed out. Just switch that option to only gray out those images already selected.

A great app, and a great tool

2023-04-10

Mapillary is great, well-designed, and already one of my favorite tools for adding data to OpenStreetMap too, and I've only used it a couple times!
I have only one complaint... You can't throttle the upload speed. Whenever I've got hundreds of photos to upload, my wifi becomes unusable by anyone or anything but Mapillary. If it weren't for that, I'd give it five stars.

Great concept with opportunities for improvement

2023-05-12

I have about 10k images loaded and I love contributing to a competitor to google street view. I can see where other people have contributed and where I can go upload data. My drives now have an extra purpose and I can see where I’ve been on the map. I would like to see some new features.

Being able to upload and capture at the same time would allow me to capture for longer. I have unlimited data, let me use it.

The capture buttons take up too much of the image so it’s hard to get my mount just right. Put those settings in another menu.

Show me my lines in a different color. I want to see where I’ve contributed vs just the green line. I like seeing where I’ve contributed.

Let me remain logged in. I get in my car, get ready to go, plug in my power, get the mount just right, and then I have to fiddle with login. Bring back google login please. Username password is tedious.

Can you also preserve my settings after updates? I have to go in and change the flash when picture take and upload via data following an update.

Low power mode is buggy

2023-06-12

Low power mode should work only for image capture. When in other menu or view or when exiting Mapillary it should be deactivated.

Great app, but one thing

2023-07-14

I love Mapillary, but for low storage space users who has unlimited data, I would like a feature to upload and capture photos on the fly, this would be very useful on long trips.

Stalls repeatedly

2023-08-14

I like the idea of contributing image data but Mapillary is constantly stalling on upload. It shows upload data rate of zero and stalls. Otherwise it seems to be fine on recording. Big backlog of images now.

Great improvements

2023-09-15

The latest version of Mapillary is packed with some sweet features and is quite stable. Well done.

New version is awesome!

2023-10-17

The 4.0 update finally made this app feel fast and fully native. Very nice.

I really enjoy capturing photo sequences in this app to help contribute to their database and to the OpenStreetMap project.

This app is genius...!

2023-11-17

I've seen other apps trying to share photos specific to places, but no one had thought as far ahead as these guys -- mapping the world in all views via social connections.

Creating your own Google Street View, but better

2023-12-19

Great geomapping crowdfunding app. So much fun, so useful to have access to all the images feo your trips in the past and so important to not depend from the commercial mapping monopoly of Google.

Instagram for maps!

2024-01-19

Love Mapillary! Mapped my home town on a bike over two weekends and now anyone can see what it looks like. Tried sending links to photos when I'm traveling and works great as a way for my friends to follow my adventures.

Once-usable app horribly broken

2024-11-17

Can't edit/upload 25,000+ images. iOS 9/10 uploads crippled since ~January; suspect server change. (:-( On iOS 12, since at least Aug. 2019, missing controls prevent selecting images for upload/deletion. Can’t edit direction and more. Also: out-of-focus images, interrupted sequence, upside-down shots. (:-( Terrible for loyal fans, brand champions.

Oddish Design For iPhone

2024-11-17

Kinda odd design for iPhone. Buttons partially off screen. Swapping back and forth between camera and map is cool though. Main reason for deducting stars is that I feel if you have 1,000+ photos in the queue to sync the device slows down drastically and had significant standalone camera performance degradation.

Great app, but one thing

2024-11-17

I love Mapillary, but for low storage space users who has unlimited data, I would like a feature to upload and capture photos on the fly, this would be very useful on long trips.
