Almost flawless sight reading 4 toddlers

Thoughtful animations, super effective sounds paired with each movable element on the screen (ie sound of letter playing when child drags it across screen to spell a word), seamless scrolling through available words & fast loading times make EndlessReader one of the best I’ve seen for child with ASD (or any toddler).

My ONLY suggestion would be to somehow highlight the sentence being read (in sync with the reading) so that the child can easily and intuitively read along - seems like this would really tie the whole experience together for maximum impact. My daughter LOVES EndlessReader , but I echo another review in that she often just waits to hit the replay button to watch the animation again. If the sentence text could somehow dominate the screen or come alive a bit more during the final reading, that would make this the best educational app I’ve ever come across.

Great Until You Switch Phones

I purchased the first set of words and my son loved them. It actually helps with his speech impediment and makes it fun. EndlessReader was awesome until we got a new phone. My son got an early gift from his grandma (his very own phone) and I put him on my family sharing plan. All the learning apps I had purchased for him we were able to upload on to his new phone and pick up where we left off except this one. It’s showing all his levels are locked and for him to continue I have to purchase the same levels I just purchased not too long ago. I feel EndlessReader should allow us to transfer to another device just as the other apps did. I have to give my phone to my son just for him to use this one app which makes it inconvenient when I also use my phone. If it hadn’t been for this I would have given EndlessReader 5 stars.

Needs option to turn off repeat button!

EndlessReader is an excellent tool for teaching toddlers how to read! My 2.5 year old can read a lot of the words in EndlessReader! Animations are super engaging.

However, I really really wish we could have option to TURN OFF REPEAT BUTTON!! She tends to keep repeating the animation portions more than 5 times, and if I don’t intervene, she will keep repeating, which means she is not interacting or learning and just watching! She tends to get frustrated if I keep prompting her to move forward.

Other than this grievance, EndlessReader is pretty nice.

Love this app!

My son has struggled to read with his developmental delays. EndlessReader is wonderful & so much fun! It's great to have another tool to encourage letter sound recognition & sight words. Not sure why there is some negative reviews on here about needing light up words and letters needing to be placed in order. Kids don't learn in uniform. They do much better with non restrictive, creative learning. The whole point of grabbing the letters is to hear the letter sound, see the letter and then create the word. Which is then put in a sentence. It's about sound frequency and letters. We love it and it's been paramount in my child's development!

Deanna

Until recently, I would have given Endless Reader a 5star rating as my granddaughter loved EndlessReader . However, awhile back I did an iPad shuffle and passed her iPad to my grandson. I had to reload EndlessReader back onto the iPad several times in order to get all of the word lists I had purchased. Now I find that EndlessReader only works when connected to Wifi - which was NOT the case when my granddaughter used the same exact iPad just weeks ago. When not connected to Wifi, EndlessReader simply crashes upon opening

I have tried to contact the developers THREE TIMES to no avail. As is, EndlessReader is useless, as my grandkids use their iPads in the car, without Internet connection. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service and feel that my money has been wasted.

Great, but wish it had one extra setting

Our boys love EndlessReader, and it has helped them identify words in books. We’ve paid for the complete set and I feel it was worth the money. My only complaint is that they enjoy the animations so much that they’ll spell out a word and then replay the animation 10+ times before moving onto another word. I would love to have the option to hide the replay button so they have to spell the word again if they want to rewatch the animation.

Love this app so much!

We got EndlessReader when my daughter was two. She needed help dragging the letters to the spot so we’d play together. She’s been playing it for a year and a half now and every time she plays she learns more. She now know her letter sounds, she can spot read the words! She loves watching the cute monsters do stuff over and over like bake cookies! We ended up buying the $15 upgrade. Worth every penny!! We also bought the endless numbers and the robot game from EndlessReader maker she loves and learns all three apps!

Awesome! Paid version.

EndlessReader is pretty much pre-p and K courses both PLUS in one app. It teaches phonics, sounds, pronunciation, enunciation, example in a sentence and is very interactive. You can chose from 3 level many many words nice graphics and clear readers! I had to come comment even when we’ve had it for a long time I never realized how good EndlessReader is made, I can now get my daughter to stay learning to read while we play together with EndlessReader. Thank y’all!

After 5 kids - If I could pick 1 app this is it!

All 5 of my kids used this. It is the closest thing to teaching to read on autopilot, and they enjoy it. To give you an idea of how well kids respond to it, my now 11 and 14yo daughters saw their youngest brother start using it the other day and got excited like they just saw an old friend. That 14yo just got a high school academic scholarship btw so thanks endless reader for being part of a solid foundation :)

Thank you designers, creators!

Our little guy who’s four is special. Timothy wasn’t forming word sounds, or even beginning to letter. This fantastic, adorable, clever app has helped our sweet Down Syndrome angel really progress! He gets certain pride and joy from the animations, sounds, and monsters like Rocky when he does each exercise correctly. Truly, such a blessing to his learning. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will support your apps 100% and recommend them highly!

Great app

The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is that the words should light up or be highlighted as they're read in a sentence and it would be helpful if they repeated how the word was spelled after the letters are dragged in place. Other than that EndlessReader is absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it. My 2 year old loves it!

Wonderful!

My son is having issues with his letter sounds and recognition. EndlessReader has helped him so much. It sounds out each letter in a fun way that he likes to mimic. And then he gets to put the words into sentences. There are no pop up ads to frustrate me or him. He asks to play this everyday and has no clue how much he is learning. I can’t say enough about EndlessReader and the great learning tool that it is if your kid is needing a little extra help.

Still downloading complete pack after 3 days

We’re big fans of Originator and have purchased complete packs for the Endless apps that we have (123, ABC, Reader, and Wordplay), but Reader has been stuck on downloading words for the past three days, even if I leave EndlessReader open and on (connected to WiFi and >100 mbps cable connection). It’s been pretty frustrating, and I can only assume that the pack is either utterly massive, or there are issues with Originator’s server, neither of which are assuring.

He’s reading!

My son is almost 6 and in kindergarten, we suspect he has autism and is currently going through screening. I heard about EndlessReader and decided to drop the 30$ on the full version. After just a few weeks he’s starting to recognize most of the two and three letter words and is even able to write the words from memory. He loves practicing on EndlessReader and I’m sure it will only get better!

Homeschool mom and love it

I downloaded this at the beginning of the school year to help keep my toddler busy with something other than a tv show during school time for her older sibling, didn’t expect much. So happily surprised with how much this has helped our 2yo learn so many words, letters, and letter sounds! She loves it and is reading site words and knows a lot of the alphabet from it!

My 2 year old LOVES this

My 2 year old loves EndlessReader. I was almost too cheap to buy it, but I’m glad I did. He recognizes almost all the words. I even wrote the words on paper and he can recognize them (without the pictures). I posted it on social media and I got a lot of friends asking how he learned them. We just purchased the endless numbers and doing the Spanish trial version :)

Great app, wish sequential spelling option available

Fantastic app, but recently downloaded the school edition of Endless Spanish and love the sequential spelling option which forces the child to sound out the word. Wish EndlessReader would be updated to include this option as I don’t want to spend another $30. But otherwise fantastic app!

So loved for over two years now!!

My now 4 year old started using this (the free version ) app at 18 months and loves it!! At 3 years he still loved it so I finally broke in and bought an expansion. I then found the numbers and into age 4 he’s still love all of it!! Great job designers!!! From the little bit of free to the design of it hands down amazing!!

Fun word play

EndlessReader is very well done it’s educational and my son loves it. My only complaint is that they put the expansion packs for purchase in the queue with the words and my son gets stuck on wanting to open and purchase them. Otherwise EndlessReader is perfect and fun for us all to play together

Family sharing fail

EndlessReader itself is great! Our grandkids ask to play it on our phones every time we see them. So I bought a big $$$ pack. Turns out that it does not "family share." Only the FREE part of EndlessReader is shareable!!! Who needs to share the free part of EndlessReader ? The purchased part will not go onto my husband's phone. He would have to sign in to MY Apple ID to use what we bought. I'm sorry, I'm not spending $60 for this stuff. I wish I would have known this before I bought any.

Autistic/Nonverbal Child Approved

My son is 4 and has mild autism but for the most part is non verbal. I downloaded the free trial of this (and numbers) and he adored it. Coupled with his other therapies he receives at school, he began talking a few words, recognizing his alphabet and almost saying all the letters- that's 3 weeks after he started playing EndlessReader. It works for him. It keeps his attention- the constant interactive nature along with repetition of the letters, their sound in that particular word, and the whole word itself clicks in his brain. I ended up buying the full version and he doesn't mind if I lock him in with Guided Access on his iPad. Awesome job on EndlessReader!

My kid loves it but I'm not sure he's really learning anything

My kid likes this game a lot. But I'd like there to be a setting to require words to be spelled in order. He already know his letters so he's just dragging them onto the model word in whatever order he pleases. He can't possibly be learning anything useful about spelling or reading. This feature seems so essential that I'd gladly pay extra for it -- although honestly, I can't believe it's not the default.

Great for all ages!

EndlessReader is awesome! My child has been using EndlessReader since she was one and could pick the words she learned at that time. She is now three and is already reading at a first grade level. She’s learned to sound words out also so even spelling in front of her no longer works because she will figure it out.

Worth it!!

So EndlessReader is good but it does give u 5 levels to play just FIVE it’s not enough levels to play but it’s much worth it then the Endless academy because the Endless academy lets u play all the games u make in to one big game but it lets u play 2 levels only and that’s why I give this game a five star.

Please limit video replays

This has helped my autistic son learn the alphabet and all the letter sounds. My only issue is he can stem playing the videos over and over again without working through the letters and words. Please limit it to one or maybe three times max. Or let parents set a limit for it.
