Great app!

MindfulnessDaily is awesome! The features are very easy to use and integrate into your life so you are reminded to be mindful throughout the day. The voice used for the lessons is very pleasant and the "pause" images are beautiful. I did experience a bug and the creator of MindfulnessDaily was very responsive to the issue. I'd recommend MindfulnessDaily to anyone looking for a little more peace in their day.

Update 10/26: I am very disappointed with the updated version of MindfulnessDaily. It is not intuitive and has clunky features with annoying reminders. It’s overly complicated now, where it used to be so simple to use. The only new feature that I like is the addition of a meditation timer, but even that is overly complicated. Perhaps most disappointing is that the “streak” of days counter isn’t working. I found this very simple feature very motivating and liked the visual representation of the bars on the home screen - it was the first thing you saw when you opened MindfulnessDaily . Now it’s stuck at zero. Please rethink MindfulnessDaily and bring back some of the simplicity of the original.

It’s one of the better apps I have found to remind me to be present. I love having something in the morning and then throughout the day and then in the evening. However I have a few issues with it. First, it feels like it’s for someone who’s never paid attention to their breath before. The voice doesn’t sound natural or sincere (I could do better). Another issue: if I have Wi-Fi turned off & open MindfulnessDaily to do the morning intention, then turn Wi-Fi on (which it requires) it still doesn’t see WiFi is on. I have to quit MindfulnessDaily and I don’t see how to do the morning intention. Last thing, I really liked the sounds I heard with the breathing sections but the last several times the breathing part had no sound and I got the feeling it was off but didn’t know how to turn it on. Thank you for your efforts to help us all be more mindful. ❤️

Great start to being mindful

MindfulnessDaily was recommended in the Mindful magazine and I'm glad I tried it. As other reviewers mentioned it keeps you on track with daily reminders that aren't annoying. The sessions are not lengthy so great for those who find their excuse is that they're too busy to incorporate mindfulness in their life. I like the journal section/log book as it gives you a summary of your progress. The extra section is also very well done-videos from thought leaders (e.g., Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ted talks, etc) are a great extra for those days when you want a little more. Only downside to app is that the daily sessions are repeated. I'm ok with having a "rerun" though not everyday as I find I'm quick to be distracted hearing the same thing I just heard recently so to not have the repeats so often would be a nice feature and therefore why I gave MindfulnessDaily 4 instead of 5 stars. Highly recommend app!

It’s all there for mindfulness; voice is a little stiff

Thanks Walter for telling me how to find the streak. Yeah, so buried now. But I get that not everything belongs on the home page, and screen real estate is expensive, and I get that you are going for an uncluttered entry into this mindful place. So up a star, if only for being responsive. Overall, MindfulnessDaily has a nice variety of features to help with mindfulness. I mostly use it for the Pause videos TBH. I dinged a star only because the narrator of most of the audio is clearly reading from scripts and I like my mediations to flow more, to be a little less precise and more personable. Yeah, that’s subjective I know, but that’s what ratings are. I’ve been using MindfulnessDaily everyday for years so that I guess that puts in a very small club, objectively! The new author audios are a little looser so that’s a good start.

Great app for mindful awareness

MindfulnessDaily has been immensely helpful in helping me be more mindful throughput the day. The only thing that has been frustrating about it is that if you miss a Pause of a Lesson, they stack on each other so the next time you open MindfulnessDaily you have to do all the ones you missed before it says you are at 100% for the day. For example, I wasn't able to do any of the exercises over a weekend, and when I finally tried to do them on Monday the home screen was still showing Saturday's first exercise. So I had to go through all of Saturday and all of Sunday before I could get to Monday's exercises. This is the only frustrating part of my experience with MindfulnessDaily , and I will continue to use it.

I love MindfulnessDaily. However since the update, it doesn't work properly. It glitches during pauses which causes me to hyperventilate. I do a lesson, the voice cuts out twenty seconds from the end and I don't get credit for the lesson. It's all becoming very frustrating and that's the opposite reason I chose MindfulnessDaily in the first place. So don't get me wrong, before the update, MindfulnessDaily worked perfectly. I miss the way it did. I actually lost 26 days of progress after the update as well.

Customer service was excellent in helping me find what the issues were in my experience. I'm using an older iPhone, which I'm upgrading next week. So the issues I was experiencing weren't due to MindfulnessDaily . Customer support was prompt, professional and very helpful. I'm very happy with MindfulnessDaily as a choice for mindfulness. Thank you for the outstanding service!

I've been using Mindfulness Daily for three days. I have tried many mood and psychological apps. This one has help me more than any of the others. I like the ability to schedule times that MindfulnessDaily notifies you to check in and center yourself. The flow sequence for managing feelings is incredibly helpful. Attending to the prompts MindfulnessDaily asks me to do provides relief and thus I've started to bond with MindfulnessDaily because it's helping me:)
If I were going to offer any suggestions for improvement it would be if the breathing sequence background video could be filtered. Some of the backgrounds are more helpful than others in that some can create stress because they remind me of certain things. It would be neat to be able to be able to purposely choose certain themes and also prevent other themes from being played in settings. Thank you for creating MindfulnessDaily .

Very Good App 4 Learning About Yourself!

I’m 71 years young this month & I decided it was high time I found out more about myself by learning Mindfulness/Meditation. I tried all the apps I could find and then chose 3 I now use daily; Calm, Headspace & Mindfulness. I use the guided meditations from the first 2 daily, then pull everything together w/ Mindfulness! It gives you questions to answer, in writing, if you choose, about what/how you are feeling. Then there are affirmations & terrific lessons drawn from Teachers & Experts from all over the internet. I try to tie everything together every day in writing so I can see and feel how I’m progressing. Mindfulness (both the life lessons & MindfulnessDaily !) has really started changing my life! You are never too old to learn more about yourself & the wonderful world we live in.

Short lessons that work

Mindfulness should be something we practice throughout the day, and like a lot of people it's difficult to get (or make) time. I'm also easily distracted. These lessons are short, quick, easy to understand, and I actually find myself using them additional times throughout the day. The tone of the lessons is perfect: no guilt or condemnation and they don't encourage you to feel like you're better than anyone because you do them. And they have helped me: if I am getting angry, I use the "pause" button (you'll see) and I've settled down a lot sooner than I usually would. The fact that I remember to use it at all is another positive point. One thing though, I had to turn off the sound notification because my dog went crazy thinking it was the doorbell every time.

Well worth the money.

While there is one glitch I've noticed so far (the days get off if I use MindfulnessDaily and do my daily practices before the scheduled time; say it's set for Day 6 at 7:00, and I use Day 6 at 6:30, when I get the notification at 7:00 it will bring me to Day 7), overall MindfulnessDaily has more than delivered what I was hoping for when I purchased it. A simple, clean, practical guide and reminder for my daily meditations and lots of helpful information and tips as well! It's like having a yogi friend walk with me through my day, reminding me now and then to relax and remember what's important.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to ease into a daily mindfulness meditation practice.
Also, I love that it's a one time purchase and it doesn't require a stupid subscription every month.

Fantastic meditation app

When I first discovered the amazing inner silence of meditation, I quickly discovered how effective a method it was for controlling my daily anxiety and stress. I’ve been practicing for about 1 year now, and by far the biggest challenge I have faced is implementing meditation into my daily schedule.

Even though I know meditation is so key to my well being, it was difficult to find the time and motivation to actually do it consistently. When I began using mindfulness daily that all changed.

The friendly reminders on my lock screen periodically throughout my day remind me to either find 5 minutes, or make 5 minutes if I have to, that I spend just breathing and pausing. MindfulnessDaily really helps motivate me to consistently find time in my schedule for meditation and boy has it been great!

As an added bonus I decided to start recording my experiences and feelings in MindfulnessDaily , which appear helpfully in my life log. I’ve loved exploring my life log and recognizing patterns in my moods and experiences that have really helped me understand better who I am and how I function.

This is a wonderful wonderful wonderful app and I highly recommend it to both beginners and advanced meditators.

I have used MindfulnessDaily for years and I AM grateful enough to need to stop and make time to say thank you God- and to encourage anyone looking that you have found a treasure here:
MindfulnessDaily is welcoming and peaceful. No pressure to do more -but only (always) offers to be available now or or at any time I can, the accountability and availability of this support is priceless. Someone up there, someone in there, someone in here... loves me.
I look forward to taking the few moments -or as long as I have to choose more or less of the multi-daily offers or invitations to to me to remember to come back to center my self. Sessions are able to be very brief or extended... MindfulnessDaily is truly a BLESSING to me, for me, and I love it.

Best Meditation App Found

This is an excellent meditation app. It sets up a schedule of reminders to guide you through several mindfulness meditations each day. It permits you to go to a practice menu to practice past mindfulness exercises that you have already experienced or try something new. It offers 10’s, maybe even 100 or more, exercises and different nuanced mindfulness practices sessions. The best part - Unlike most meditation apps that give you a few introductory lessons and want a paid subscription for access to the better stuff, I have yet to find any portion of MindfulnessDaily that locks me out unless I pay a subscription fee. This is by far the best meditation app that I’ve tried.

As a relative beginner to mindfulness, I've been using MindfulnessDaily for 6 days now and love it. I've found MindfulnessDaily to be very helpful in guiding me through basic mindfulness techniques/exercises, and I love that it keeps track of how many days in a row I've used it (it motivates me to keep using it daily).

Its "pause" feature is really great for when I find that I'm feeling stressed or really running on auto-pilot, and there are features on MindfulnessDaily that allow me to think about and identify where I'm feeling stress within my body; it's helping me feel more in touch with my emotions and different parts of my body.

The night-time exercise is really nice for winding down the day, and serves as a good reminder for me to let go of what I have not yet completed, and to accept that the day is over and tomorrow is a new day.

I've tried numerous mindfulness apps, but this is the first one I've been motivated to use consistently, and I adore it. There are new lessons every day, each only a few minutes long, which always seems doable to squeeze into my day. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good mindfulness app. :)

1st time to write a review on an app....I never had time before!! I want all to know how amazing and helpful MindfulnessDaily has been in the past 8 days of using it. I was in search of something to calm my overwhelming thoughts and type A personality. I've been on autopilot for several years. MindfulnessDaily has helped tremendously. My coworkers and family have asked what are you doing...your so calm and focused? Try MindfulnessDaily. It even gives you reminders throughout the day which helps me stay focused on the present and remain calm. Completed homework, notes and meeting deadlines w/o meltdowns!!! Give it a try. I like the short videos on specific topics such as gratitude, kindness...etc.
