Maybe this is an oversight, maybe it is intentional but there is a problem with WarframeCompanion . If you use WarframeCompanion and then switch apps and come back later, without closing it in multitasking, you can use the foundry however it says something like log in error if a user tries to build or claim anything. The warframe app should should instead completely reset, sort of like a bank app after not having a certain time of recent activity. I realize this is a minor problem however I’m sure the devs do not want inconveniences.

TL:DR if WarframeCompanion is going to make the user close it and open it again after inactivity, then don’t let users access the foundry. Just automatically close WarframeCompanion and restart it for users.

It’s a handy little app to let you know the news of the game. And shows you when Baro has arrived and what all he has (However, cannot us app to purchase items). The extractors and foundry access is probably the best use out of WarframeCompanion . I love WarframeCompanion but I know that much more can be done with it. Plus, I’ve been having problems with the online menu to the right. I’m stuck on an infinite loading screen that never loads. I usually wait for several minutes until I’ve lost interest. Other then that, I honestly can’t complain. WarframeCompanion helps me with a few useful things while I’m away from home. Overall I give WarframeCompanion a thumbs up👍, but I hope to see improvements in the future.

I have been playing the Warframe since 2014. I have been using WarframeCompanion on and off for about two years. It’s a simple and solid app.

The good.
I am able to build things I need in the foundry while I’m at work I’m able to send and claim extractors as well. And honestly that helps out a little bit. I like how I can check and news updates and stay up to date with any updates before I get home. I enjoy that I can see what my mod load outs are.

The bad.
But I don’t like that I can’t see how each load out effects my stats. From time to time I watch videos on better builds and I would like to see how the numbers compare. Sometimes I want to change stuff but I can’t due to the limitations of WarframeCompanion. With mods being such a huge part of the overall game you would think they would want us to be able to change them on the fly so then we play more vs sitting around changing mods.

Things I want to see.
I have a clan in the game, so I would love for there to be an option to change the message of the day (MOTD). Or chat with them if they are in game. The Xbox app allows me and my friends to see when we are on Xbox or WarframeCompanion and it allows us to message each other with no issue. It would make it easier to stay connected with the homies when I’m away from my Xbox. Even more so that I pick up new players from all over the place.

I sometimes use WarframeCompanion when I remember something about the game and I’m away from my PS4 (console peasant, I know)or just to take care of foundry builds. But it has plenty of problems. Yesterday I tried to use it for my foundry though, and the screen scaling was all wrong. It was zoomed in for some reason and a good chunk of the UI was off-screen. Today I wanted to check my arcanes on my phone and remembered that for some reason unbeknownst to me, arcanes don’t show up on WarframeCompanion at all. They’ve been in the game for how long now? Come on guys!

Overall, I do get some use out of WarframeCompanion sometimes, and it can be handy, but it needs some fixes and improvements to get more than 3 stars from me.

I Really love WarframeCompanion , just for the fact that i can manage the foundry and claim and build all of it, but i wish there would be more like manage the arsenal or include whats in the market at the moment or manage your inventory.

I know its possible to do so you can do ot with the foundry, but other than that, there is not much use for WarframeCompanion , the news send you to a link or browser wich it would be the same as looking it up online yourself, the arsenal only shows the items and warframe you’re using at the moment but cant make any changes or even modify.

I’ve really fallen in love with this game and i Would love to see improvement in WarframeCompanion as well.

WarframeCompanion has a lot of missed potential. Clean design but very limited in what you can do. I hope DE improves WarframeCompanion.
It’s a great app if your aim is to specifically run extractors throughout the day or to start and claim foundry items. Even care for your companions or move them in and out of stasis.
Everything else is heavily lacking in WarframeCompanion. You cannot change loadout - only view current setup. You cannot customize your mod slots or enhance their abilities. Ranks for items/weapons often do not matchup from arsenal to inventory (taxon rank 30 in inventory, true rank 27 in Arsenal). This slip up caused me to open my stasis companion early.
There is also no ability to view your profile to see how much exp is needed for next ranking or syndicate rankings. No access to clan functions at all. No access to orbiter market. Can’t even view your own personalized warframe/s.
Essentially what I would like to see is the ability to do everything you can do in game in orbiter with access to in game markets.

I’ve been playing Warframe for as long as I remember and I’ve loved it since. I find WarframeCompanion useful, only to check on daily missions check current news, and configure your own loadout. I am curious as to whether or not WarframeCompanion can renew your activity time because if that is the case, I won’t have to worry about being kicked from clans due to inactivity. I got WarframeCompanion in hopes that I could could fiddle around with my personal warframe’s cosmetics, which I’m sure most players were looking most forward to with WarframeCompanion. Considering that I am far away from my own computer and will not be playing anytime soon, it does sadden me to see that I can’t customize my own warframes, weapons, companions, etc. hopefully that chances soon. Overall, WarframeCompanion is useful for information and mission updates

WarframeCompanion is immensely useful for people who regularly play Warframe and want to get things done without logging in. It lets me deploy and retrieve extractors, monitor my per’s health, and initiate and claim Foundry builds without needing to log in to the game. It’s great for when I’m on vacation or otherwise away from home.

However, I have one word of warning for those downloading WarframeCompanion for the first time. When the initial screen tells you to swipe right, you should tap the screen instead. If you swipe right, the menu doesn’t open properly, and selecting anything sends you back to the “swipe right” screen. Ignore it’s instructions, tap the screen, and tap the login button.

WarframeCompanion is pretty useful. It’s a good reference, and being able to claim foundry items and extractors is cool. That said, I have a few suggestions. The main thing that I think would make WarframeCompanion better is to make the market available. Building things from blueprints is all well and good, but it would be even better if you could buy blueprints also. My second suggestion would be the ability to sell things from your inventory. There have been many times when I wanted to build something but did not have the credits. Other than those two items, WarframeCompanion is excellent.

It's really great to have to look up codex entries and accessing the foundry when not on the computer. Its even better when you are away from the computer for a while and looking to use extractors to get the resources and making stuff at the foundry. There are a few things that would make it exceptional.
One thing that would make it better is the capability to see the blue prints for the prime warframe parts in the inventory instead of just the foundry.
Another thing that would be better is access to the in game market to buy weapon blue prints to craft.
One last thing I would find great to kind of fix is the stats in the codex entries and inventory

I would love to be able to interact with everything that’s on the orbiter. You can change loadouts, upgrade mods, and the ability to mod weapons! There is so much potential with WarframeCompanion which can make it amazing. Personally, I can no longer trade with baro ki teer because he comes back on a week I cannot be on my computer. To fix this, I think it would be thrilling if you can trade with baro from your device, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to see what items your favorite trader has brought around. Otherwise, WarframeCompanion is great! I love having notifications when my warframes are done cooking in the foundry, or to even be able to build stuff in the first place away from home! Keep up the good work DE.

I really enjoy WarframeCompanion because it’s very handy to access the foundry, extractors, Baro, and alerts. There is one thing that I wouldn’t mind having access to and that is the Hellminth warframe sacrifice. It is kind of hard to keep track of which warframe you sacrificed to the Hellminth after getting to rank 10, but with the companion app, I imagine much like the Codex: Warframe. It’s a list of all non-prime warframe with a hellminth symbol showing they been sacrificed. This is just a subjection as I don’t expect developers to make this upon request. Just an idea from a fellow future developer.

While you might not be able to view your frames or weapons like in the Destiny Companion, I have seen nothing compare to WarframeCompanion. For example, the most you can do in the destiny app that directly affect the game is read messages and change weapons.
WarframeCompanion hits different. Your pet is lonely and you can’t login? Interact with WarframeCompanion !
Need to collect/redeploy an extractor? WarframeCompanion can do that!
Finishing the last part of that warframe and want the final product ASAP? Build it in WarframeCompanion !
This thing comes in so handy all the time from in game accessibility to twitch drop alerts. A must have for any warframe player.

If only they can make it a complete stand alone. Because the issue is if you ever open it and try use it while you in game, it thinks that you logged on a new device which sometimes causes horrible stuff lol like I dunno if you were mid mission you lose all progress because the game thinks you logged on new device and for a minute you lost connection. Please find a way to make it a stand alone utility and not cause other issues. (Me and a friend lost a whole 40 min farm progress with boosters from that issue lol)

WarframeCompanion enables you to run your foundry and extractors all the time. It does a bit more than that but not a lot more. I enjoy that aspect enough to rate it highly because the amount of non-play things you can do is limited in the game anyway.

It also shows the alerts and invasions. This is handy when maybe you hadn’t intended playing for a day but an alert appears which shows you something you might have missed otherwise (like gifts of the lotus).

Overall WarframeCompanion is fairly limited but so are the things you can do in Warframe outside a mission anyway. I like that it let me run my foundry making Forma whenever I was away for work and never even got to play.

WarframeCompanion is a great way to extend the enjoyment of the game. I can quickly get things building without having to get the game up or when away from home. I can get a lot of the small stuff done so when I am actually in the game I can spend my time in missions instead of working on building stuff.

It is also much easier to see your inventory and make lists of things you need to work on instead of being in the game to do it. There is too much in WarframeCompanion to list so these are just the high points.

I highly recommend it for anyone who plays Warframe to make your game life a bit easier and get things done so much quicker.

A useful tool for dedicated Tenno for news, events and lore about the game’s story. With the most important function of WarframeCompanion being the foundry where warframe a, weapons and more can be crafted remotely. This is especially useful for crafting forma, the resource needed to apply mods to a weapon or warframe that 23 hours in real time to craft hence the title of this review. The only thing missing is probably is an auction house like section for players to sell tradable items remotely. Example: Remotely selling an Ayatan for the price of 3 platinum (warframe premium currency) with the offer last until a buyer is found or the seller takes down the offer. But the feature is not needed for an enjoyable experience of the game.

I’m giving WarframeCompanion a 3 star because yes it’s very helpful when I’m not home, and it allows me to maintain my foundry and collect resources from my extractor, but as of recent I can’t get past the loading screen without WarframeCompanion closing/crashing on its own. I’ve deleted and redownloaded WarframeCompanion several times to no success. If some developer could reach out and tell me a quick fix that would be greatly appreciated. Other than that, great app, very useful.

I love WarframeCompanion, been using it for over a year now and I just installed it on my iPhone XS. Seamless integration and the new updates and additions are great. This is honesty the only way I farm with extractors and it takes two minutes every several hours to scoop resources. I do wish I could roll out specters in WarframeCompanion , but I understand the limitations with build specifics. WarframeCompanion is also the Only way I know about Devstreams and claim my Twitch Prime loot, so without it, I would most likely never capitalize on these things. Thanks D.E. for being timeless and continually wowing the crowds after almost a decade!!

Positive:

Not only is WarframeCompanion super convenient feature wise, letting you look at your inventory, craft items, look up information about the game, interact with your in-game companions, deploy and collect extractors and more... but WarframeCompanion provides an extremely clean and responsive interface to do so.

I'm not kidding, WarframeCompanion is *super* responsive. Steam, Playstation, and Xbox should all be incredibly ashamed for daring to put their apps on the same platform as this one. You can tell from this alone that this company cares about the game and it's user base.

WarframeCompanion also lets you log in and out of accounts across different platforms with ease, have a Ps4, or Pc account like me? Just log out and click a button and it'll switch right on over!(For pc, you will have to provide your password).

Cons:

For some versions of the game you'll have to reopen the game after using WarframeCompanion , as the game won't save until you relaunch it. This hasn't caused me any strife, and WarframeCompanion warns you prior.

If for some reason you want to start builds away from home, you can do that. Such is all WarframeCompanion is good for. You have to sign back into your account every single time you leave WarframeCompanion . Despite clicking ‘stay signed in’ I am forced to retype my email and password every single time. I’ve never used a companion app that asked you to sign in at any point after the first time you open WarframeCompanion . Being asked to sign in every single time you open WarframeCompanion is immensely moronic to have not been dealt with for so long.

Freezes and crashes often. Chat can have a several minute delay between you pressing send and the message being sent, same for received messages. WarframeCompanion barely works in all honesty.

Only worked once, and after that one time, it had me re-enter my login info and it made me click images of: bikes, cars, buses, store fronts, and traffic lights, for eternity, I tried doing the type words that you hear, but again after that one time it worked, the typing words you hear told me to try again later which means I have to click images for eternity, and I have better things to do than click images for eternity. I’m giving this two stars because: I enjoyed it when it worked, but since it only worked once, it only seems fair to give it two stars.

I have had WarframeCompanion for awhile before the UI changes and it was awesome. Being able to manage things like foundry, companions all from my phone. Then recent updates happened. I'm not to fond of the changes made to the user interface but I can live with it. My main gripe is that I can't be logged into WarframeCompanion while logged into the game. I won't even be on the game and it still tells me the same message. This makes everything about WarframeCompanion for, in my eyes, useless. I can't manage my foundry or my companion or my extractors. The only thing it is good for right is being a mobile codex and alert tracker. Please take this to heart and fix WarframeCompanion.

So got this companion hoping to basically control the in’s and out’s of my game. But you basically can’t do any interfacing other than with the foundry. You can’t look at the over all specifics of your character. You can’t change the equipped gear or the colors. You can’t mess with upgrades you can’t even access the market let alone actually buy items. You can’t so much as see your character. And on top of all that for what usefulness this has, it can’t be accessed at any point while logged into the actual game. It’s basically warframe wiki in an app that shows you the foundry the small description of items, and what level you are.

As far as helping a player learn about this complex, but fascinating game, WarframeCompanion doesn’t assist adequately. However, if you want to pick up drones or start building in the foundry outside the game, WarframeCompanion will serve you well. This temporary purpose makes WarframeCompanion invaluable.

PS: the recent update stops my PS4 account from logging into WarframeCompanion . I like the new layout, but the glitches it causes aren’t worth the new layout. I took off a star for the recent glitches and some of the missing items I can’t build in the foundry, but are contained in the game.

Love this companion app, however there are some improvements that I would love to see. Most of all are the problems with chat functionality, and UI scaling/performance. On the side of chat, my friends list has not updated (even with app re-installation), and friend invitations have not gone through. I honestly believe that WarframeCompanion could benefit from all of these features. I use my iPad in order to do the majority of chat in-game b/c I play on console, and the iPad is my laptop that allows me to tap into deeper chat. On the side of UI, on iPad, there is also no landscape mode. This inhibits both chat and functionality (especially with an attached keyboard). On iPhone X, there are still scaling issues, as the choice between listing friends or clan for chat is obscured by the top notch. Lastly, when I claim an item in the foundry, WarframeCompanion freezes, and needs to be force quit then re-opened to regain functionality. Once these things are addressed, I’ll give it the five stars I know it deserves 👌🏼👍🏼😎

I love warframe and WarframeCompanion needs to have just as high of standards in warframe. I would love to have in game chat on mobile so I can sell stuff while offline. I’d love to have a player marketplace where you can sell things without having to be online. I want to be able to customize my weapons and mod load outs while offline and have them show up when I get online. WarframeCompanion can be the best friend for every Tenno. And maybe advertise WarframeCompanion on the game so more people can benefit from this. WarframeCompanion has potential

If your going to get WarframeCompanion know that 90% of the time your going to use it to access the foundry which is extremely useful, but the only thing it really offers other than news that you probably already heard of if your keeping tabs with the game. But what WarframeCompanion is really missing is the ability to look at your fashion frame! Other than that WarframeCompanion is extremely useful and recommended to anyone who is in constant need of building.

WarframeCompanion has a lot! It really does accompany the main game really well, BUT, it still needs more. With how big and diverse Warframe is, the companion app needs to be able to assist! If they could add a market aspect to it, I think that would save WarframeCompanion. Being able to buy and trade on WarframeCompanion would be amazing and really help the community members who might not be able to be sitting on the game at the Relays all day, looking for that perfect sale. All-in-all, great app, but still could be so much better.

This basically checks off all the things I want to do on mobile:
1. Build and claim items in the foundry
2. Deploy and claim extractors
3. Relic refinement
4. Check navigation events

Suggested features that I would like to see:
Be able to fill Ayatan sculptures.
Some Operator/ focus school options (if possible)

Edit: Music pausing has been fixed in ver. 4.3.2. Updated review from 4 to 5 stars. You can ignore what I said below but I’m keeping for history.

My biggest complaint is my music pauses when I open WarframeCompanion. Turning the sounds off and leaving WarframeCompanion running in the background works without any interruptions to my music but if I terminate the Warframe app (I like to keep very few background apps running) and launch it anew, it always pauses my music.
