Waste of space on my device

When my company announced a step challenge, I was really excited to try the Incentifit app, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Let me start with the main issue: IncentFit barely works. Despite being marketed as a reliable way to track your steps, it constantly fails to record data accurately. I’ll walk 10,000 steps in a day, but IncentFit will register only 2,000, if I'm lucky. It doesn’t sync properly with my phone’s health data either, which makes the whole thing feel like a waste of space on my device.

As for customer service, after a long wait for a response, they finally got back to me—only to ask for dozens of screenshots to “investigate” the issue. My app is already synced with my health app, so asking for all these screenshots just felt like a runaround. It was frustrating and completely unnecessary. After providing all the screenshots, the issue was only temporarily resolved, and I’m still stuck with an app that doesn’t fully work.

Overall, the Incentifit app is unreliable, inaccurate, and frustrating. The customer service is unhelpful and adds to the hassle instead of solving the problem. There are plenty of better step tracking apps out there that actually work and provide decent support. This one is definitely not worth your time.

Needs A LOT of work

I hate to just pile on to all of the negative reviews but IncentFit just fails me repeatedly. The interface is clunky and resembles an app from the iPhone 1 days. But really, that’s fine if it functions correctly. More importantly, on a recurring basis IncentFit will randomly decide that I’m done working out, while I’m still at the gym. I don’t know when this happens until later, when I actually am done. I open IncentFit to mark my workout as completed and IncentFit says I was done a long time ago and now I get no points for the workout. The Apple Watch integration should be able to see that my workout was 90+ minutes, but no. It seems to only be able to pull steps from the watch. IncentFit developers don’t seem to place a high priority on resolving functionality issues pointed out in these reviews, so writing this review may be a waste of time. If my company didn’t require the use of IncentFit for gym membership compensation I would never open IncentFit again. So many better options available.

Rarely works

2 months 30minutes of operating correctly. I started home workouts and taking screen shots of completed workouts on my phone. I loaded 5 the one day IncentFit decided to work in the last 2 months. No sign they have been accepted either. Have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Getting blank screen or won’t load photos.

You can’t get rewarded the $$ by steps alone.

Rewards the lazy person, punishes runners

IncentFit is so biased and does an incredibly poor job at rewards those who are actually trying to get fit. If I run 7km (45min run) I get nothing!!! If I still in the pool and doing nothing for 30 minutes I get a dollar or if I walk in then straight out of a gym I still get paid.
This should track real activity and exercise not reward people for doing nothing.
If the developer think a 45 minute 7km run is not enough then they need to seriously rethink what there doing!

It worked fine, but not anymore. 😒

For the first month or so using IncentFit , it was working fine, I could check in to my gym fine and it would track my steps at the end of the day, but now, the main page won’t load. Now that I am solely relying on tracking my steps and not checking in to a gym, it claims there is a connection timeout. I have good signal, so it can’t be on my end. It’s been pretty inconsistent recently and I won’t be able to accumulate any points. Very disappointed.

Terrible Never works

IncentFit works 1/10 times when I’m trying to input my attendance and the gps location never seems to work either. I’ve contacted them on the phone and the lady I talked to said “I know that app doesn’t work but you can use the website for inputting attendance” this would be a work around but you have to use IncentFit for lactation services. What’s the point of the program if you can’t actually track your attendance.

Clunky, rarely works on the first try.

The only reason I use IncentFit is because my my employer hosts the program that gives me money back for working out.

That being said, if I could give IncentFit 0 Stars I would. I have to close and re-opwn every time I open IncentFit , and it takes forever to load. Not only that, IncentFit REQUIRES you give it full location access 100% of the time, not just while using IncentFit . I guaranteed they're using that data for something nefarious.

Do better, incentifit.

Inconsistent

Many glitches with IncentFit. I’ll add an activity using my current location. The time starts ticking and then stops working after several minutes. Meaning I don’t get credit because it will show that I was there for less than 30 minutes. If I try to restart it says try again later. Later is too late.

Now with the most recent update it won’t track my location at all. The option to turn on location in settings no longer exists.

Broken experience all around

Using IncentFit is such a broken experience. My phone is up to date and so is IncentFit and syncing never works. Pretty pointless to offer auto-syncing when users have to enter it in manually every time. I’m using this for a work fitness challenge and was excited about auto syncing since it allows my coworkers to see live updates on my progress and I shouldn’t have to waste time doing it myself, especially when that seems to be a huge selling point for IncentFit.

Does not work

Using iPhone 6s. Up to date on iOS. Tried to sync it to my Apple health. And it keeps on creating errors. The errors keep on looping and piping up. It froze my phone. I had to force quit app. And phone is hot now. Clicked on support option on AppStore page. It just takes me to this vendors website to sell me their product.

Edit: app still terrible. Won’t accept using location only while app is running. I don’t want it to run my GPS constantly because that is how you wear down battery oh and is creepy. Got it to sync with Apple health. But when I open IncentFit it still claims it is not hooked up properly and freezes my phone so I have to actually turn off my phone.

App has stopped syncing with Apple health for 11 days! It shows as being stuck in ‘processing my data’.

Worst app ever?

We’ve got a contender for worst app available. You’re probably using IncentFit because your employer had you download for a wellness program. Unfortunately IncentFit lacks the execution and support you’d expect from something like this. For some reason they have tried to format IncentFit unlike any other fitness app out there. It’s not intuitive at all. You’ll spend more time searching through the sub menus to find what you’re trying to do. And once you find it NOTHING and I mean NOTHING works the way it is suppose. In order to log a workout you MUST set location services to always, instead of only while using app. Could someone please explain to me why that is?

So many bugs

IncentFit has so many bugs. Every time I open IncentFit , I have to then close and launch again for it to work. Now I’m having an issue with the benefits not allowing me to log my time in the gym because it’s frozen with a message saying “Connecting to this app” and it’s been frozen like this for over a day. I’ve tried logging out, closing IncentFit and even restarting my phone and it’s still hasn’t changed.

Very Slow to Sync Activies

IncentFit allows you to connect your Apple Watch and the Apple Fitness as well as Strava to track your activities. This is super slow to happen and is often days before they show up in your timeline and sometimes don’t ever show up. This is a feature the promotes so they should make it work better.

Just when I thought I had no issues…

I use an iPhone 14 pro as my everyday driver. IncentFit no longer works with it, showing a forever progress indicator after I log in “Searching for our gym bag”. Seems to me like that gym bag is on Neptune because we won’t be able to find it. I logged in on my work phone - iPhone SE2, and had no problems at all loading the main screen. Both phones same OS and networks.

Crashes and Problems

IncentFit freezes the first time I start it each day. To get it to work I have to open it, kill it, then open it a second time.

I just had to uninstall IncentFit based on a problem registering a workout yesterday. It didn’t count a workout as usual, but when I opened it today it went into a loop where it said I had been working out for 3 hours, congratulating me, playing the workout complete sound, and repeating over and over.

Restarting my phone didn’t remove this error.

Inconsistent Functionality

I use IncentFit through my employer. The idea of syncing data from my Garmin app directly into this app *is* great but more often than not in the past month or two I have had to manually report my runs. It’s not difficult, but I might as well use a browser if I’m going to do that. I have noticed that it connects better with Apple Health then with Garmin. I have to assume maintaining app comparability with so many different providers is a challenge. It does a decent job of tracking activities in a team environment, however.

Inconsistent Performance

Our company uses IncentFit to track attendance at participating gyms (used for reimbursement of fees) but too often it doesn’t work correctly. Today is a good example. I just updated IncentFit and it doesn’t work. IncentFit is supposed to use my location but today claimed I had no connection. I have been able to get email and listen to a podcast while working out. I even went on the WIFI of the gym and that didn’t work either.

There’s a reason many f my coworkers use hard copy print outs of their attendance because IncentFit is so poor.

Keeps making me log in

I used IncentFit for a year without many problems for basic usage. For me, I use the GPS feature to track when I work out for receiving employer incentives. For the past month it makes me re-login nearly every day. A big hassle since I’m in a rush in the morning. Tried updating IncentFit but didn’t help. They really need to fix that fundamental issue.

Ugh, Syncing Issues

It hasn’t been syncing with Garmin since 9/7. Had unlinked it then it re-linked which worked before, and after several attempts, that still isn’t working. Saw today their alert about Fitbit sync issues. Hope they work on the Garmin one too.

New Years Resolution Achieved!

Ok I was one of those people who made the New Years resolution to go to the gym and went twice in January and that’s it. With this app I now actually get in there at least once a week every week. That little bit of cash makes all of the difference to get me active and healthy, and also it really adds up! 🏃‍♂️💪💰
