Kansas City Scout Traffic Reviews

All I wanted was to be able to easily navigate a map and view the various live webcams around the KC Metro area. KansasCityScoutTraffic delivered that. I wouldn’t use it for anything else, TBH. If you’re looking for incident reporting, use maps/google maps/waze. If you wanna check cameras though, KansasCityScoutTraffic’ll be your huckleberry!

The July update solved app loading issues, but didn't solve the problem KansasCityScoutTraffic has with syncing info from the same servers that supply the electronic billboards or even the kc scout website. The majority of the time upon starting KansasCityScoutTraffic you see spinning wheels vs # of incidents, and when you do see info it's likely out of date.. people please contact the kc scout office through the website and ask them to solve the issues.. hopefully the more contacts they get, the faster they'll solve the problems

Never had issues with KansasCityScoutTraffic and has definitely assisted in being able to quickly check routes for incidents. Camera views are a huge plus.

I don’t understand all of these bad reviews because I’ve had no problem with KansasCityScoutTraffic whatsoever. It always works great, I can check out traffic and how the roads look when there’s inclimate weather. I keep showing my friends and encouraging them to download it.

I love KansasCityScoutTraffic! When it’s bad on the roads, I can pull up cameras where I need to travel and judge whether I want to drive or not.

Some of the old reviews that rated it low should be removed as they aren’t relevant 4 years later.

This worked great to check road conditions after snow storm. I could check roads several places along my planned route.

KansasCityScoutTraffic only works about 1x a week. I try to check traffic every day before rush hour, and there is almost always an error. I have the latest version, and latest version of iOS. Please fix KansasCityScoutTraffic !

Edited to add after I read other reviews...only works on WiFi. Well, that is not helpful if you are in your car

iPhone XS Max been out for four months now... KansasCityScoutTraffic still looks like it’s for a iPhone 6-8... please update KansasCityScoutTraffic to fit the screen.

I cannot get into the cameras. Has been a couple days. Please fix as I use it constantly.

I suspect that Scout changed a server or address that KansasCityScoutTraffic uses, but KansasCityScoutTraffic is absolutely broken. It doesn't get any data from the server... No cams, no sign data, no incident data. I've been trying more than 30 days so it doesn't appear to be a temporary problem.

You morons... the login keyboard covers up the logging button... so there is no way to login!!! Move the logging button up towards the top of the screen.

Did any of you even beta test your software?

The keyboard covers the “Log In” button so you can’t sign in. Also it doesn’t tell you what your user name is after you register.

Nice secondary traffic app. Nice to have "live" camera shots. Ability to see overhead traffic LED signs is a nice touch. App locks up quite a bit while trying to continuously load data. If the UI was smoother this could be a 4-5 star app. I'll stick to google maps for general color-coded traffic and use this for camera/sign info.

I’ve got my account set up. I never got a confirming email. It would not let me login. Big disappointment and I was going to use this.

App no longer updates traffic. Does not load information

Nothing loads. Just tells you everything is offline. Either update KansasCityScoutTraffic or remove it from KansasCityScoutTraffic Store. Would be a great app in theory.

App is completely worthless if you don't have WiFi. Nothing will load.

KansasCityScoutTraffic rarely works. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Don’t know what the issue is, but MoDOT needs to get it fixed.

Shows only map. No alerts or anything else. Does not show backups, accidents. Worthless waste your f space

I love KansasCityScoutTraffic but this last update screwed up the view. The letters are to big for the cells they are in. Please fix

Every time I go to load KansasCityScoutTraffic it becomes nearly impossible to use. Moving the view to see road conditions ahead causes KansasCityScoutTraffic to freeze. I recommend waiting on downloading KansasCityScoutTraffic until it is fixed.

KansasCityScoutTraffic is as disappointing as the highway department. Doesn't work on iPhone.
