The free trial is NOT free, it lies about rhe trial being free and makes you pay 40 dollars, and the grading is completely incorrect, i scanned a beat up card and it said gem mnt 10
If I can give FoilSnap a zero star I would. FoilSnap cannot even identify the simplest of cards. It takes several attempts to get the card right if at all. This company needs to scrap FoilSnap and go back to the drawing board.
Not one correct ID out of the 11 POKEMON cards I scanned. One was even identified as a Magic The Gathering card. I have been using the Collectr app and it has always been correct. I thought the aspect of having a little idea of what a card might grade through PSA would be cool but I’d find its opinion hard to trust if it can’t simply ID a card. Maybe it’s just Phantasmal Flames cards but that’s all I have to scan…
Don’t make this a free app on the market place when you can’t even use any functionality of FoilSnap for free. I don’t mind paying for a good app like this if it works or paying for premium features. But the fact that you make it a free download on FoilSnap Store then have nothing on FoilSnap you can use permanently for free is so misleading and annoys me.
Do not download! I canceled my subscription and then it still renewed and charged me!
I tried scanning several cards and FoilSnap got every single one wrong. It would say English instead of Japanese or the wrong series, or even the wrong type of card. It doesn’t show your card compared to what it thinks the card is and doesn’t let you edit the results so you can at least save the correct card. I couldn’t tell if the values were correct because it couldn’t even correctly identify my cards. At least I didn’t waste a lot of money on the trial.
Yes it can identify the card but it has zero clue on value - in fact I scanned the same card 5 times and got 5 different values and all were wrong - deleted same day I tried it
App is super simple. But they really need to have it so you can scan the front and back of the card! I have scanned about 30 cards and about 20 are 10’s. I look at the back and there is no way the card is a 10. Sure the front looks good but let’s check the back as well.
The scanner is amazing and the ability to identify the card and the set it’s from works great. Unfortunately the pricing is off. I scanned a few cards in that said on FoilSnap that they were 10 to 15 dollars but on the tcg website they were only a few cents. If that was fixed it would be an amazing app.
Got FoilSnap to get prices on some old Pokémon and MTG cards I have, I got the free trial and scanned most of my cards but I would scan 5-6 cards and FoilSnap would crash consistently. I will not by purchasing after the trial. It is great if you want to scan a few cards you already have within a week, but it says most cards are mint so don’t trust it.
Good way to check card value and keep track of your collection, only request is sorting by price
