Free download because it doesn’t work

I tried two different distinct pictures of spiders I had pics of and it reported them back as being one a mantis and the second one some sort of grass bug located clear across the country and like the first didn’t look a thing like the pics I provided nor were they even close! Disappointed because it is a free app that doesn’t provide even slightly accurate results

Horrible At Identification

The photo would name a bug, however when you look at the confidence rate for what the bug actually was, it would show 10% or 11% confidence.

SEEK.

1) Go check out SEEK
2) Now fix yours & I'll reinstall

To be clear I really wanted this to work, NEEDED this to work. I gave it so many tries but not one single result was correct. Not. One. Zero. Nada. Sh*t the bed
When it informed me that a noble false widow spider was a mud dauber wasp, it creeped me out too much. That's a safety issue. Not good.

Nope

So far always gave wrong answer

Don’t buy it

Terrible - Not accurate at all!

Not worth the time

It’s wrong even on simple common household insects …it literally worked once !

Does not recognize spiders

I submitted the same picture of a spider 2 times
The first time it said it was a mantis and the second it said it was a moth.
Not sure how a long spindle legged black spider could be mistaken for either of those

Duck, delicious

Very bad, took a photo of my Apple Pencil, said it was a western honey bee, very bad and sussy.

Way off!

The answer given from analyzing my picture was way off. Plus, when I did a second analysis using the same pic, I got a totally different answer.

Terrible

Don’t waste your time. Not a single correct answer. I tried 3 different times for 3 different bugs each. It gave me a different answer every time. The highest confidence reading I received was 78% once and it was no where near the same bug. Next highest was 11%.

Cost????

No where do I see any mention of price for BugIdentifier. Therefore, I am deleting it until such a time as there is an upfront statement of cost.

Could not identify simple fruit fly

Keep scanning fruit flies and it would Id them as Webworm Moths with 22% certainty.
Tried a few other insects but very unreliable.

Don’t recommend

BugIdentifier is great for finding out that bug in your yard. But when I try to look up “fruit fly” and “fungus gnat”, it says no results were found. Yes, it wouldn’t have every bug, but fruit flies are not those strange bugs that no one knows about. If you love laughter, then get it. But if you don’t, stay far away from it.

To many ads and it lies sometimes!

Highly recommended

I love BugIdentifier

Excellent app

Bug identifier is really very good app. It works very accurately. Insect identification has become very easy now. What a great app!

Spider

I looked up and tried to identify a spider but it said not found. That’s funny because you app is insect and spider identification.

Great

Love BugIdentifier the bugs are actually the real thing, the only suggestion I have is to add a section to ask if the bug is poisonous or not.
