Did not start using

Like so many apps these days, this one requires you to subscribe before using for the free trial period. I don’t like this practice and do not use apps that require you to cancel a subscription before the end of trial. Seems to me that apps like this are just hoping you forget and can automatically charge you.

Awful

Scans the front of the book. If it’s a variant cover it reads that text and tells you that’s what it is. So say you scan Iron Man #23 Infinity Saga Variant and it doesn’t say Iron Man on the front. It will tell you it’s Infinity Saga 1

It’s a garbage AI app. CLZ and Covrprice are much better.

Inaccurate

The info (especially pricing) is inaccurate. I signed up for the free trial and scanned a few of my books. It was accurate on one of my “grail” books but way off when I scanned a few books that just came out last week. They were valued at anywhere from $10-$150, but they were actually $3.99 books. I’m a seasoned collector with over 6,000 books. I do not recommend ComicSnap until they address these issues.

Value inaccuracy

ComicSnap is very helpful with organizing comic collections, but the accuracy of the value of the comics does make ComicSnap bad. I bought a comic the other day and it was priced at $50-$100 which is very inaccurate. ComicSnap needs some work, but for organizing purposes it is good

Elevated Rating

I cannot believe that this is even close to accurate values. Every single book has a value of at least two dollars… I don’t think that’s even close to accurate and a lot are over $10. It isn’t nice looking app, but I’m not sure what the subscription pays for… I’m gonna look for a different app.

Needs work

Scanned 10 comics. 3 came up with incorrect title and artist. Price range is full retail. Some prices are grossly inaccurate.

Potential but Only That

You have the chance to do something special here. Collectors are dying for this tech to ACTUALLY work. It has to actually work. Please continue to invest in this. Hell I’d come work with you guys to make this work. Do the right thing.

AI Pricing Gone Wrong

Excited for ComicSnap and features. Evident from scans and the broad descriptions of the stories, the highlighting of innocuous reasons for interest, and wild conjecture, ComicSnap is not fantastic. Pricing for comics ends up with wide ranges (ex. $20-$150) that land no where near what those books are actually selling for. If you want an app to inflate your ego about your collection, this is it. But don’t expect what it values your collection to be worth to be anywhere near what it actually is.

Fair

So I scanned 399 books. Nice to have them all in one place, but the grading review system works just ok. As far as pricing…. Seems pretty unbalanced. I took a picture of 1 book 5 times. Same book. Same lighting. 2 prices were the same and 3 different values after that.

Happy and learning

Just beginning

Good, but could be much better

So I haven’t done any comic collecting for almost 30yrs now but have a small collection that I’m passing onto my son. I saw ComicSnap and thought it would be interesting to see what the ones I have are worth. I love how easy this is to use and take photos of my collection but the price ranges are way to broad, where are these being taken from??
And ComicSnap seems to have issues with reprints and variant editions… it doesn’t seem to recognize covers that are variants of editions and they keep getting the wrong title. And I’ve noticed that when I snap a photo and then retake a photo of the same comic, the “range” changes…. Why is that??
According to your app I have a collection worth $3,000,000 ….. how is that? I scanned a 1983 nestle quick reprint of Action comic 1 and it didn’t know it wasn’t the real thing?

Also, there needs to be a better way to organize “my collection”. I’d like to see updates to this where all the photos could be setup by title or prices, or other categories so I don’t have to scroll though all the photos to see what I have duplicated…. The search is ok but if I don’t know the exact title it isn’t so good.

Export features?

Pleasantly surprised with ease of use. Will likely purchase the subscription. My hope is they add some management features: 1) exporting data; and 2) organizing collection list by criteria. Not much provided in the way of FAQ.

Too vague

Any way to tighten up prices? Too high, range of $25 ($5-$30) on a $5 book? Not practical if values aren’t based on recent comp data

Thought

Great app!!.. but needs the ability or organize or filter by alphabetical order price.

Needs Work

App needs serious work if you are going to make it work. Listing the variation name for covers of the same book, the artist, the writer. Let’s get some more info on these and you will be on your way to making a great app

Easy app!

Very easy to use and helps keep how much my collection is!

Organize Your Collection

This is the easiest way to organize your collection and check it’s value
