Less features than Apollo. There is no follow/unfollow feature anywhere. I have to reset the settings every other time I open it. There’s no share button or gesture. You can’t access the comments when you open a post. You have to back out and then open the comments instead of a gesture on the Reddit app. It’s my first day using it so I thought it would be life changing but I may just go back to the regular app. So far not seeing a product worth paying for if it doesn’t have built in features the other one does. It’s incomplete. You’re basically paying to make upvoting a gesture.
I really enjoy Artemis. I think its home page feed is currently better than Reddit’s primary app. However, you can only refresh that feed maybe twice a day. I’d be willing to spend the same price as Reddit Premium to have unlimited refreshes (or a a home page refresh every 15-30 minutes). Until then, I’ll keep an eye on this while I unfortunately stick with the regular Reddit app.
I like everything except search. Web version has much better search results. Both set to relevant sort type, still worse output in Artemis . So this is app usable for content consumption, but not for research purposes. Please update Artemis to get web-like search! Thank you!
Looks and feels great as it, just missing a handful of features. Wont be my main Reddit app because of that, but I’ll keep an eye on it since it’s brand new and hope the add features.
Great app. Needs long press on the main feed to share image or share as image without going in to the post itself.
Great app! Would like to see more support around NSFW posts. Right now it seems to block everything
Getting better! Good enough to
Daily now

Most similar to the almighty Apollo (rip)
Beautiful ui and great it has a free tier and paid tier that makes sense.
Best app I’ve used
for mobile browsing since Apollo was shut down.
Already so happy with Artemis as a replacement for the official reddit app! The dev is awesome and super responsive and diligently works to add requested features! Give it a try!
Active developer who takes feedback. Pretty faithful Apollo alternative. Frequent updates. Highly recommended.
No ads that you don’t have to pay a subscription to remove. 5/5
Reminds me a lot of Apollo, which I’m guessing is intentional given the name. Works pretty well so far. A lot better than the official Reddit app already. Some suggestions I would make, though:
- Options to mark posts as read when you upvote, and mark image posts as read if you tap on the thumbnail to view the image. Right now the only way to mark a post as read is if you view the comments or use the option to mark them as read when you scroll.
- It would also be nice if you could collapse entire comment threads by long-holding or long-swiping any comment in the chain, similar to the official app or Apollo.
Other than that, it’s a clean and simple Reddit app which is exactly what I need. Dev is doing great job so far 👍
Great successor to Apollo. Only thing making me hesitant to consider pro is whether Reddit will change their APIs or authentication again and break Artemis :(
Artemis feels good so far. While it is certainly missing some features and polish, I’m hopeful that this can be my only Reddit app at some point.
Artemis is getting better every week, and is the closest thing to Apollo for those of us who miss it. The developer is insanely responsive on Reddit and is adding features upon request very quickly. Love Artemis, and it’s constantly getting better!
I used Apollo for years, so when Reddit killed that, I had to use a side-loaded version. this app takes the hard work out of the equation and leaves you with the best features. I only use Artemis now and I love it, plus they’re quick to fix any bugs too!
I love Artemis so much! Best Reddit client!
