Pretty good app

I actually never really write reviews, but MultiTab is actually pretty great and I’d love to see more features and things being added. I love their tumblr app and use it daily. I guess one thing I’d love to see is a way to modify the grid view like you can in the tumblr app, instead of all squares. Also, maybe customize specific font sizes for posts or comments, instead of lumping the font sizes into small, medium, large for everything. Anyway, great app and I hope you keep updating it, especially for those who have paid for it, like myself.

Obnoxious ads, no way to own the app

MultiTab has obnoxious ads that are always visible. Even when viewing a picture, there will always be a banner ad at the bottom. MultiTab also will not match the system dark theme, requiring premium for the dark theme. MultiTab works well, I would consider paying a couple dollars to own the full app, but you can’t. They want to charge $1.99 a MONTH for premium. There is no purchase option. This is not an app that should require a subscription. Reddit runs the servers, Imgur hosts the files, there’s nothing in here that should require more than one purchase. MultiTab also does not get better. Used it for a while, and nothing gets tweaked or improved, the money does not go into improving MultiTab .

Pretty darn good with the premium

* I barely tried the free version of MultiTab . I basically just bought premium for a year right away, so my review is of the premium version of MultiTab . *

I noticed a lot of posts just load much faster compared to the classic Reddit app. Alongside faster loading times, a big plus is that you don’t have any ads, so it’s pretty efficient with data usage too.

Good for just saving videos and gifs. I’m still not used to all the features, but so far it’s much more convenient than the classic Reddit app, so 5 stars there.

5 STARS- GREAT FEATURES - SUPER EASY

The MULTI TAB SUPER APP is great. This apples to all 6 of the apps. I’ve used them all! I love the Reddit and Twitter apps the most. If I want to pull specific subreddits or user media. Also, when I leave a bunch tabs open, that’s what pops up the next time I open it.

The MULTI TAB apps have made it easy to pull the newest photos. Also, there’s mass display, slideshow, and mass download. It also shows the photo quality and size so i know what is cropped or not.

Easy buttons to close all my tabs or just 1 so I don’t have to have too many tabs open:

The 1 feature that I would like to see added is to include an option for Reddit to download the sound for videos. I know I can use the Apollo app to do that, but for Reddit, I’d use the Multi Tab app much more. It allows for me to save upvote and other stuff like that.

Thank you to the developer! THE $4 ANNUAL PRICE makes it a a great dealbreaker for me.

Could use auto play in media/grid view

The unique flows offered by MultiTab are really impressive, but it doesn’t beat out Reddit alts like Apollo simply because it only auto plays in the default view. All other Reddit clients do this, so for MultiTab to offer such a unique perspective and not go all in, it feels like it’s missing. I’d like to see MultiTab break away from the traditional Reddit app and do something wild. Give it a shot, this app R!

Great UX and UI

Simple enough to get comfortable with fast. All the buttons are where you’d expect them to be. I like the tabs function. I think it adds a fun new aspect to going down Reddit rabbit holes with a way to revert back a few searches.
I’m looking forward to the posting feature as this is my only Reddit app (I’m aware I can use the official app, still excited tho lol).
10/10 for usability. 10/10 for readability. 10/10 for fun new way to browse Reddit!

Good but not worth paying at the moment.

If your looking for something to easily download pics from Reddit, this is it.

However it has its short comings. It’s missing a lot of simple features. For instance, saving pics to a certain album, instead of just adding them to your photos. All videos download as gifs so you don’t get any sound. After awhile of browsing , all comments on every post fail to load, so you have to restart MultiTab .

You have to pay for premium and then again subscribe monthly/yearly to use some of the features. That’s pretty insane considering a lot of MultiTab feels buggy/ missing features. Not even the top rated / most used Reddit apps require a subscription.

This apps strong point is the ability to just long press on pictures/gifs to save them. However it’s missing a lot of features other Reddit apps have, while charging a monthly fee for the most basic of features.

No sound in gif videos

Love the idea of the grid gallery, get to see a lot more with less scrolling. Also everything loads quicker than other apps I’ve tried, but one thing is that I never get any sound or the option for sound when I select a gif video/any video until I open it on a browser. Hope future updates include this change, either way love MultiTab !

Great app

There is a few other attachments that do not show when viewing posts and MultiTab makes you click to open a link that takes you to a browser to view the post which makes you miss what you would’ve seen on the Reddit app itself (ex. Imgur linked photos is one of them). If that is fixed then 5/5 easily.

Amazing features and options

I love MultiTab and instantly paid for the yeaely subscription along with the Twitter version.

Just missing one small feature I like from the official reddit app. In the media view, can you allow gifs to autoplay? That would make it 5-stars for me. That would be amazing 🤤. Hope to see any features added to this already wonderful app.

Great app but still has bugs

Very cool and smooth Reddit client but it crashes way to often after only 5-10 mins of actual use but overall a good experience if you can get past that

By

Awesome, don’t know how it took so long for me to find

I’m a die hard Apollo user but MultiTab is awesome for media and the UX is slick! Wish it got updated a bit more and the UI was slightly more polished, but no big deal, MultiTab rocks for real.

By

Disappointed

Seriously, dark theme under a paywall. Don't make people pay for accessibility settings

By

Amazing if only it had sound for gifs

All of the media I view on Reddit has sound for other Reddit apps, but for some reason this one just doesn’t support it. Definitely 5/5 stars if it did.

Best App For Reddit!!

I want to start by saying great apo ! I have Tumblr and the Twitter one, I absolutely love them ! Just wondering are you guys working on one for Instagram ?

By

Fantastic app. Recurring subscription puts me off.

I know, the price is minuscule. I do not want a recurring charge every so often, however. Please offer a lifetime subscription. Readder won me over for now.

By

Something needs to be fixed

Why isn’t there a volume option? When there’s a video I want to watch I can’t hear it.

By

Ain’t no way boy

There is now a volume where my pause button should be. WHY IS MY PAUSE BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN.

By

I would love to use this app but I NEED moderator tools

i enjoy this app for tumblr very much and i pay for the subscription every year, so the idea of having a familiar interface from a developer i trust is very appealing. but i moderate a double handful of communities and if there are no mod tools, then MultiTab is useless for me.

By

Everything doesn’t have to be a subscription

It’s a decent app but I am going to uninstall it as soon as I realize that I can’t activate just dark mode without paying a subscription.

If there was a one time purchase I’d be more likely to pay

Better than the official app in many ways!

I absolutely miss Apollo for Reddit. this app for Reddit is very different but gets a lot of things right that the official Reddit app gets so wrong.

I do wish swiping from the center could be changed to other options. I also wish MultiTab on an iPhone pro max didn't zoom in media to fill by vertical height but rather by width. Perhaps have an option? It all looks really good on an iPad though. Amazing and so much better than the official app.

I did sub to get some more features that I find useful and it makes Reddit feel less restrictive.

By

Consistent “too many request” errors

I use it daily but only a couple of hours a day at best, I get constant pop ups about “too many requests” despite paying for the premium edition makes this just slightly worse than using the regular Reddit app.

Sometimes it rate limits me for 2 minutes at a time, lets me use it for maybe 10 and hits me with another. It depends on the day.

If you’re going to charge for a product it should definitely work a little better.

That said MultiTab itself is fine, very few issues overall but the rate limiting the premium subscription kills what would otherwise be an easy 4 stars.

I canceled my sub and will ride it out until it expires, unless they can get that issue sorted out I won’t renew and I’ll just stick with the official Reddit app.

RIP Apollo, no one has done a Reddit app better than you.

Video rewind Area

Hello it will be very helpful if you can make the video rewind are wider. Each time I try to rewind it does other things. Thank you

What is this?

I’ve tried a dozen different 3rd party apps for Reddit over the years. This one is, by far, the worst UI I’ve ever seen. It’s a convicted, jumbled mess, and lacks any intuitive design. I’d be surprised if MultiTab survives much longer. I’d even rather take my chances with the official app that no one is into

Paid subscriber for years but don't like new price increase

I love Multi tumblr reddit app. I paid a one time fee and its awesome. I guess MultiTab developers learned the mistake of a one time paid fee so now they are to taking advantage of increasing a yearly subscription fee, I wouldnt mind if it was worth it but the developers has done nothing to make MultiTab better except cash in on subscribers.

By

Too limited, literally…

I get that this is largely (perhaps almost entirely) Reddit’s fault, but even after paying for MultiTab , the rate limit is laughably low. In the less than half hour I’ve used MultiTab since paying the subscription fee, I’ve received the “too many requests” pop-up several times. It’s ridiculously unusable for even a basic user, let alone someone who would actually want to view more than a dozen posts. MultiTab (in terms of design) is decent enough, but that rate limit is a dealbreaker. I would NOT recommend this.

By

Great when it works

Tried a bunch of different browsers for Reddit because for some reason Reddit is committed to looking like 1998. I like this one the most, but it gives quirky error messages fairly frequently. But the different ways of viewing feeds is so much cleaner than anything that I’ve used.
