Okay, tbh, this is a direct remake of BeatStar. I think it’s well made, but I have a few things.
1) The songs could be longer. It’s very short play through
2) The songs could be harder. Was I a sweat on BeatStar? Yes. But this just felt really easy.
3) If you need to continue (my mom showed me this) it glitches out for the first bit, which makes continuing after the ad hard.
4) The audio sinc doesn’t work right. I have my audio perfectly aligned in the audio sinc place, but then in APT, the uh-huh uh-huh is said almost a complete second before I actually swipe the keys for it.
5) I will happily pay $10 upfront for no adds than $6 a week for all those extras and no adds.
6) The custom match does not let you rematch. I have to join, play through, rematch, exit, rejoin. Which is kinda annoying.
Overall, this is good and I will continue to play as this really does fill the hole from BeatStar shutting down, but I think it could use a few changes.

Like so many others, I was super excited when I saw this game in SuperStar Store and it was so similar to Beatstar! The layout is nearly identical and there’s never ads unless you choose to watch them for extra songs.

However, whereas I did amazing at Beatstar and was one of the top ranked players, I remain with habitually low scores in this game.

Some of the songs are extremely glitchy. It will turn a tile white so that it doesn’t register your touch and then automatically makes you lose the song and acts like you didn’t hit the tile. It will also turn tiles red and rush them down through the tap bar at lightening speed, without even giving you the opportunity to tap them. This also counts against you. These errors only occur on the left side of the screen for some reason and only with some of the songs.

It’s frustrating when you’re competing against other people but hardly ever win because of these glitches. I won all the time in Beatstar.

All that being said, it’s a good game and shows great promise if the creators can smooth out the kinks and resolve all the glitches. I love that they include Classical music - something you had to pay for with diamonds in Beatstar.

I was looking for something like Beatstar, since it got taken off App Store and now unplayable, and I saw this game. I got it and it looks very identical to Beatstar. First of all though, make the extreme songs harder because they are way to easy. Next, take out the swearing. I feel like more littler kids would play this game (along with me) if the swearing was gone. Last, add more music hits like Eminem, godzilla, juice wrld etc. so there would be more song choices. Right now it’s looking like magic tiles 3 and let’s just say…that game is kind of wonky. But it’s very good and has potential :D

Like everyone else feeling the loss of Beatstar this is an ok replacement!
Please get rid of the ads if a beat is missed and do the diamond option. It makes for a seem less transition instead of waiting a minute to be completely out of the groove of the song.
Also add the feature for changing the colors for a difference between perfect and perfect plus (it made all of the difference in Beatstar when I would be going for high scores)
Also adjust the difficulty levels. I went from doing extreme deluxe on Beatstar to an extremely slowed down version for even extreme songs.
I’m sure over time the song lengths will adjust with difficulty but definitely need to be rid of ads midsong

I came from Beatstar and loved that game. I tried out a couple of other ones in comparison and this one was definitely the best and most like Beatstar but definitely has ways to go. It’s sometimes glitchy especially with swipes, and is too easy. I used to love Beatstars level of difficulty with extreme being doable with extra gems but a challenge whereas this game I got diamond first try on extreme. Also the usage of gems is only to buy songs instead of getting extra lives on a song. Overall is the best option but needs some fixes before it’s on Beatstar’s level.

Beatstar was one of me and my fiancée’s favorite games to play and after its shut down we looked for something similar, this is by far the closest thing to it. It runs smoothly, it plays just like beatstar(even looks exactly the same) and has a fairly good song count for being newer. That being said, the reason i’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the overwhelming amount of ridiculous songs like beethoven, valkyries, rush E being opened when i try to open a latest hits box. i have never heard these songs in my life yet they make up half of my song count. I keep hoping that every time i open one it will be the last and i can get better songs now but im on rank 9 and im still getting these songs. If this were different it would be an easy 5 stars guaranteed, I love this game and i play it almost every day, but because of this unfortunate situation i can’t give it any more that 4 stars.

This game is just like beatstar it heals me so much since it is gone I’ve been playing and it’s so much fun THERES just one thing I wish there was a friend system like beatstar because I wish I could add my friends to the game and we could show off we had a better score on like singular songs because I know there is a custom battle where I could invite people but me and my friends have different schedules so I was just hoping that could be added to the game

I was really sad when Beatstar shut down and so I was really happy when I saw this game recently. I’ve been playing it and it’s great but I’ve noticed one issue. On almost every chart it feels like the music is just slightly behind where the chart is. It causes a bit of desync and throws me off a bit. I’m not sure if this is an issue with SuperStar or if there is some setting on my end that could fix it. Other than that, amazing Beatstar replacement.

Ok this advertises itself as a game where you can play trendy songs to a rhythm game which is mostly true but dude you added soooo many Spanish Phonk songs and other Latin songs that no one has ever heard or cares about. It genuinely makes the game worse being flooded with a bunch of songs like that.

Another thing is a good bit of the songs feel like they have the wrong rating (Golden being the most obvious)

Overall a great game but seriously keep the Spanish phonk out of this game and I’ll get you 5 stars

Overall pretty good, I’m an OG beat star player, had to stop for a while because life got in the way but came back and couldn’t find it anymore, found this instead and it’s definitely a very solid replacement, only two issues I have really run into that’s super annoying is sometimes it’ll register a tap on a note I didn’t do or on some of the arrow swipe notes it straight up won’t register I swiped on it, very frustrating, but that’s about it, otherwise really solid game

Finding SuperStar was like Christmas and a funeral all in one.🥹🥲 I played Beatstar everyday religiously grinding out on the pop, hip-hop, and r&b songs. Muni Long, SZA, Willow Smith, Erykah Badu, Polo G… i was devastated when I opened the categories on SuperStar and found that it has literally every genre from Beatstar EXCEPT R&B.. even the Hip-Hop category is a bit underwhelming in diversity. it’s just a little sad because there’s not a lot of young, black representation on these music apps, Beatstar found a perfect balance. This one has some cool classics and other songs I love though, but man, more R&B songs and more rap would make SuperStar 5 stars.

This is a great start to the now defunct Beatstar. Hopefully the developers keep improving and adding songs to SuperStar.

Suggestions:
1) The score on each song does not show. You should be able to see your score not just the stars and medals.
2) Instead of watching ads to continue songs, which takes you out of the track, please set it up to use gems, which will also make you more money!
3) Add the ability to add your friends so you can see there scores!
4) Add the ability to be able to sort songs by how you want to.
5) When you have to hit 2 tiles at the same time, only 1 of them lights up.
6) Watch ads to get free songs.
7) Have an option to see when you get Perfect + as green, Perfect as yellow and Great as red so you don’t have to look up to see your results.

Anyways, keep up the good work and keep improving and adding and you will have a mega hit on your hands!

I downloaded this game after the disappointment of Beat Tiles. This game is so much more closer to Beatstars, but I just have small improvements to make it perfect. First, change the gem system so that when you miss a tile or make a mistake instead of watching an ad, you use gems. It makes the gems more useful. Second, after filling up the boxes, instead of locking the playability, just let them play instead of forcing them to wait 3-5 hours to play again. Finally if possible add haptic feedback. Those are my only complaints, after fixing that, this would be the perfect game.

Great game. I was super bummed about Beatstar shutting down. I love music and Beatstar was one of my favorite ways to decompress after finishing the day. The only recommendation I have, and why I rated it 4 stars, is to adjust the sensitivity of the arrow swiping. I’m having a hard time being able to play the extreme and sometimes hard deluxe songs with the sliding directional arrows because the game isn’t registering that I’m swiping, even though I am. I noticed it happens if you don’t make it all the way to the end of the arrow on the “tap bar”. It’s hard to keep the fast paced songs going when I can’t swipe until literally last second and then I’ve missed the next notes in the song. Other than that, excellent game and I plan to play it often. 👌🏼 Thank you!

i can’t thank you enough for reviving beatstar! it was my comfort game, and this game is exactly like it, if not better. i noticed there’s a wider variety of genres, which i love! if i could give my opinion, can i suggest please adding some more rock/alternative/emo/etc music in the future? beatstar was never the best with that, but adding some bands like My Chemical Romance, Pierce The Veil, Panic At The Disco, Paramore, etc. would bring me so much comfort to play to! i bet it’d bring in a pretty big demographic as well, as music apps like these usually fail to include music from those bands and similar bands. keep up the good work man, i can’t wait to see what you do with SuperStar. mad respect to you🙏🏻

Games alright but I’m FRUSTRATED that they have the audacity to have Bad Guy by Billie Eillish but it not even being Billie Eillish like are we fr 😭… but it’s a good way for me to cope with the loss of Beatstar, nothing can compare to Beatstar (the OG) but overall good game. Oh and also you can’t use gems to continue playing a game which is kinda lame. But you don’t have ads (at least I haven’t had any) unless you continue to play when you lose a song

I am blown away!! You the developer have to have been an avid player of that app that shall not be named, 😂 100% just about on point with the one who betrayed us all!! I as well as many others hundreds of thousands of us felt so lost so betrayed by a company we had poured our hearts and souls into building up our library to have them just rip it all away forever.

Then came you SuperStar this saver of mental health this lover of the former who recreated it just about identical I’m so impressed, I realize it’s most likely created with an Ai but props dude bc I tied with a bunch of Ai models to do the exact same thing for personal use I just wanted my shut the world out immerse myself in my love of playing the game clone I could use locally for me. I tried and tried could not get it.

After the truly devastating loss of Beatstar, this app is the band aid that is now holding my heart in one piece. My bestfriend and I can now couch rot for hours and dissociate from whatever is happening in this world right now. “this app is like Beatstar’s slightly less attractive twin” (Bestie). this app is truly like the man you date after the one you know you will never forget. We do love the synchronized battle feature which is what we always said Beatstar lacked. Truly grateful to whoever’s beautiful mind developed SuperStar. You are supporting the girls who just need a break from reality.

I don’t like that they got rid of beatstar and country star(I think) but other than that, this game is absolute perfection, if they didn’t get rid of country star could someone please find a way to lead me to the field screen please, I’m a country music fan personally, good job guys on the development!!!❤️ edit: I just realized that the developers of this probably made this because of beat star’s deletion, thank you so much for doing that!❤️ (another edit, I’m sorrrry) found the country, so sorry about the earlier complaint, also, how is in the hall of the mountain kind….a NORMAL DIFFICULTY SONG!!!

Following the loss of Beatstar in October 2025, my boyfriend and I were lost. We could not find an app that even compared to Beatstar’s excellence. Then, I discovered SuperStar and fell in love with it. My boyfriend has said that it’s Beatstar but arguably better in a way. Obviously, both apps are amazing in their own way, but we love the wider range of genres that SuperStar has. Definitely recommend to anyone, especially those who miss Beatstar!!
