Beware carrot and stick model

Fantastic story! 1 star rating upon discovering app works on the “to be continued” model. I’m happy to pay to read stories, but tired of the start-another-while-you-wait-for-another-crumb strategy. If you’re fine with that then would definitely recommend for the content!
Not for those that want free reads

Every time you want to open a new chapter in a book you either have to wait 8 hours or watch an increasing number of ads. Or pay for it. I’m up to 10 ads I have to watch, most of which are actually 2 ads, in order to unlock the next chapter. So NOT worth.
I’ve been in this app daily for the last 10 days and it just reset my daily streak to one day. So again my “ bonus coins” to unlock chapters is less than what I need to unlock a single chapter.
Don’t get me wrong - the books are typically OK. Some grammar and consistency issues but that’s to be expected in these types of books. And they can and usually do grab your attention. It’s the fact that I have to wait 8 hours for a three page chapter that is ridiculous. If I could find the book elsewhere - even if I had to pay for it - I would go there instead.
