Accidentally signed up for the year subscription. Was told that I would be getting a reminder prior to the subscription going into effect. Unfortunately, was charged $89 with zero notifications ahead of time. Was denied a refund despite asking for one the same day the subscription went into effect. Will not be recommending BeFreed to anyone else and will be actively trying to keep people away from it. I can’t stand app developers that do this.

I downloaded this and bypassed the free trial to see how the base product was before deciding if it was worth it to me to pay for a subscription. The AI podcast creation worked great for the first 3 I created…then for whatever reason BeFreed could not produce another podcast. I even deleted my account and made a new one, deleted BeFreed . My boyfriend even downloaded BeFreed on HIS PHONE, and still couldn’t get another podcast to download. I asked the AI if that was included in the free version and it said it was. So I’m not sure what’s suddenly going on, but the AI podcast creation isn’t working across the whole board.

I really the reading and listening feature

Great concept but BeFreed itself and browser version is just usable. I like all the features but all I want to be able to do sometimes is simply read text and highlight. I am not able to simply highlight in BeFreed which is frustrating. In headway you are able to highlight even when listening which is a feature I am missing in BeFreed. I like the more in depth summaries and the ability to choose how in-depth I want to go. But usability of BeFreed makes it frustrating and is keeping me from subscribing for longer.

Why did all the covers change to AI generated covers and the setting button doesn’t work

Downloaded BeFreed , ran the free trail, reviewed BeFreed .

It does have a cool option to create your own podcast on anything you would like to know about, complete with customization of your podcast hosts.

That is a pretty cool feature which definitely separates itself from other book summary apps, however it was not necessarily enough for me to subscribe.

this app, true to their word, in regard to helping people obtain knowledge in this fast paced tech world, ended up giving me a free account.

I will continue to use BeFreed and vet it some more, and report back (it is the least I can do for them).

As of now i have one critique, and this might be indicative of my phone, but when I choose to read as opposed to listening, the right side margin is cutting of sentences in the paragraph.

Development should probably expand the container holding content.

Highly recommend to use this to spend spare time and learn new stuff.

I cannot wait to learn new and positive habits and knowledge. Understand how the thought processes of people around me.

Wonderful app to use if wanting to quickly master a book

I am a person who cannot fall asleep if I don’t listen to podcasts. Here, this app provides a really good night experience for me cuz…I can choose my study plan here and customize the listening mode depending on my preferences. That is the coolest part of my night routine. I like it so much, and I think I will recommend BeFreed to all of my friends who really wanna a new experience.🖤😎

Love the feature of generating podcast based on my own question. Use it during daily commute and develop a daily learning routine🙌

I love love love the create podcast function. I was able to get a full length informative podcast by just inputting simple prompts. Highly recommended!

I love the 3 different options /styles of learning about a book. I absolutely love making your own creations/podcasts through combining some of their known material to cater your learning towards your specific needs.

I really like the Create My Own Podcast feature. It makes learning things I care about easier and a lot more fun. And I can get through a book’s ideas fast, which fits my limited free time.

While i think for most book lovers BeFreed won’t be useful but for me it is great to just be able to learn something from the book without having to read all of it ( I rarely have time to read a full book)

Top notch resource by every metric. While it was remarkable to begin with, each update presents further advancements in content, aesthetics, and functionality. I also have a lifetime subscription to Headway, but don’t even bother opening it up anymore. Highly recommend this app.

After work, I’m usually too drained to read. this app’s 20 min fun/podcast mode feels effortless, now I actually finish books.

Just wish more titles had the fun version!
