I overall really like CarterChat; no filter, good characters, and more options to make characters.
But there are a few bugs that have been in my way to fully enjoy CarterChat. For the characters, i cant seem to make one on CarterChat or website for Iphone; when i get to the end it loads and doesn’t create, or it crashes. (The phone i’ve bought is new.) Another thing, the characters can’t remember much and sometimes create their own story and have you doing things you never input into the conversation.
Amazing app, just a few issues that could be fixed and it would be the best on CarterChat store possible.
CarterChat has some bugs. Like when I ask for a refresh of a message, it completely freezes my phone and won’t even give me a new message. However, CarterChat is still better than c.ai as there’s no wait time and is still active with no filter.

Overall, it’s pretty good but the ai character memory and ui pls fix that . Character kinda keeps forgetting important things even their personality and i’m on iPad the ui is a bit bad for iPad users it’s pretty great!
I’d like to say this is a very good app but I can not seem to delete chats in CarterChat like I could on the website.? If someone could tell me how that would be greatly appreciated
So I downloaded CarterChat because I saw the ad, and honestly I was very shocked. So, whenever you send a chat to the bot it responds, right? Well whenever you generate a new message it keeps the old message. Also, unless you put the greeting in the description of the bot then when you respond to the greeting it like totally forgets the whole setting ! Anyways. It’s actually a very good app, I haven’t had to pay for anything so far and I hope that you guys can keep it the way it is without making a filter or making you pay ! In Character.ai or in really any other ai bot app you use {{user}} and it puts the users preferred name that is in their persona into the greeting, it would be really nice if you guys added that too. Another thing is I would like for the bots to always be programmed to use “example” when they’re talking because I can’t really tell the difference in what is an action or if they are talking. For no filter, it’s pretty good. I would suggest it and I hope you see this review Carter chat !
Firstly, let me say that CarterChat was designed beautifully. I want to praise it before I dig into any of the issues. Personas? Check. Excellent, if a little simple, character creation? Check. 18+ toggle? CHECK. It is immersive, detailed, easy to use, easy to understand, and so, so very close to being better than C.ai. Now, as for the cons of this amazing app. 1) The messages are L O N G. They just go on and go on and go on. Granted, that could be user error, and if it is I will edit and let that be known! 2) Please let us add pictures to our personas! I beg. 3) The chats do have glitches, such as the ‘restart from here’ feature, and a few other things that I definitely trust the devs to have fixed over time. Overall, an absolute god-send. THANK YOU, Carter team. You are a gift. Keep up the great work.
First I’d like to say I will always recommend CarterChat over any other AI Chat app for both the no filter and unlimited messages! Now, when I saw the pay for unlimited messages thing, I was very nervous at first. I’ve been following this project for months now and was always told messages would stay free! Now I realize you simply have to watch an ad and messages are given right back! So it’s still free just as promised!
After C.Ai Kinda went downhill after the unfortunate incident, I started Using Carter Chat (The Website) And It honestly was kinda Better since there's no Filter And the Bots actually pay attention to and remember whats in the description of your persona and Occasionally even realize if you make changes. And Tonight I saw on the website that it said CarterChat was Finally Out. I'm already using it and its better. So I'm Happy
I really do like CarterChat since there’s no filter. My only issue is that you can’t regenerate more responses from the bot. You have to rewrite a prompt which is meh…
It’s such a good app with amazing features, but I wish for more chat bots. Other than that I can’t really complain!
