I connected everything as the instructions said and tested with multiple workouts and none of the synced. Garmin -> Strava -> Apple health.
I downloaded it and started the trial feature and absolutely loved it! Once I downloaded the premium, immediately right afterwards the whole system started to crash. The apps I had selected to be blocked with no screen time was no longer blocked. Even though I had it marked on RunYourTime . Apps I didn’t have enabled were locked. I have not been able to reach anyone for support. So it’s a bit frustrating to pay $60 for something that stopped working once it came time to pay. I’ve tried turning off my phone. Going into RunYourTime and playing around and trying different things, to no avail a success.
Allow users to pause time limits cause having to filter out is hard. And some people don’t run everyday. Spare sympathy. Also make it so you can change how much time you get per run, such as 10 min run = 20 minutes not 10. Otherwise great app!
Great concept! But glitchy. I’m on the free version and it doesn’t block all the apps I’ve selected. It seems to have forgotten. I think it also gets confused by my Apple Watch. But love the concept!
Edit: after using RunYourTime for a few weeks, I’m bumping my rating down to 3 stars. RunYourTime has several glitches, the main ones being that it will randomly stop blocking apps for no reason and after doing 1hr of exercise it will give me 11hrs of screen time. I’m still using RunYourTime for now but these bugs need to be fixed.

THANK YOU for making RunYourTime! I just started using it but already it has cut my screen time down significantly and helped motivate me to stay consistent with my movement goals. So grateful for RunYourTime!
I love the idea of RunYourTime but having to pay premium to pause how much time you get to use an app is kinda ridiculous. It would make more logical sense to have the workout time count towards how much you spend on the blocked apps because sometimes I want to use a blocked app for 5 mins but i have an hour of workout time so if i use RunYourTime for 5 mins all the time i worked out for is gone if i don’t use RunYourTime . This is why i deleted RunYourTime . I would redownload if you didn’t have to pay to pause the time.
RunYourTime is a great idea! I’ve used it for a week and it has really helped me focus on my work and motivates me to reach my exercise goals. It has encouraged me to be go for walks, which has really helped with my mental health.
Unfortunately, RunYourTime is really glitchy. Sometimes, my exercise minutes aren’t counted and other times, RunYourTime starts using minutes without my knowledge. I think RunYourTime has so much potential to help people with habit building and decrease screen time.
The biggest problem I have with RunYourTime is once I get minutes from working out I can use those minutes as many time as I want so it makes it completely useless just a inconvenience no matter how much you worked out
I really love the idea of RunYourTime and it works sometimes. It's just really glitchy and I find myself having to delete and re download multiple times a week in order for the correct screen time available to be displayed.
I love the concept and it worked for me for the first few days, but it has been pretty glitchy. It won’t allow me to use my sessions and will randomly unblock access to some of the apps at the same time every day, regardless of whether I have synched a workout or not.
I wish that it would take the time from yesterday’s workout and put it onto today. That way when you wake up your phone is open instead of having to wait till after practice which is after school in my case. Great idea though!!
RunYourTime does exactly what it claims to do! I’ve found that either (1) I’m encouraged to exercise more or (2) the screen-time lock deters me from using distracting apps - either way it’s a win. However, the timer and lock have seemed to glitch sometimes.
Additionally, I think it would be great to add a scheduling feature, like having the ability to enforce the screen-time lock only during a certain time window (i.e. lock Netflix after 5pm to force me to work out before watching TV after work or lock Insta after midnight to force me to go to sleep and then workout first thing in the morning)
This is an amazing app, if it would work. Unfortunately the number of minutes sometimes glitches and doesn’t add up the exercise amount. Additionally I have the paid version and I have noticed that if I do another workout after starting (and pausing) but not using all the minutes my minute count will reset after the new workout to give me all the minutes for the week as if I used none. Please fix, this has such potential to be a great app.
Found RunYourTime from instagram. I just got it but I love it already! Doom scrolling is reallll! And this totally prevents it! Great way to get in a workout or going for a walk / get in nature instead of wasting time!
Love RunYourTime! Found it on instagram and downloaded it immediately. It works! I use social media way less! The creator is actively working through any issues and RunYourTime just keeps getting better!!
It’s greats! I have no problems with it. I like that I don’t have to run , I get do push ups or biceps curls, what ever I want I can do. The only thing I would like is a widget or maybe a live notification. So I can easily see how much time I got. 👍🏿
I’m so glad I found RunYourTime to help me manage my screen time. I have tried others but I often end up just going back to give myself permission to use social media or other distraction apps. With this one I am reminded to get up and replace my screen time with some exercise and I feel more motivated.
