Obsidian Web Clipper Reviews

Had to watch a number of YouTube videos to use it, but night school might be needed. Works on some websites, but not on the ones where the real information is: New York Times etc. Use Zotero — quick, reliable, makes a snapshot you can use and you have a formatted reference for life.

Since installing this, I can't load Obsidian on iOS because of an undismissable overlay about how to enable this extension in Safari (iOS). Great job guys

I'm on macOS Monterrey, using Safari 17.6. I have installed this web clipper app, but it won't show up. When I choose to "Open" ObsidianWebClipper , it shows "You can turn on Obsidian Web Clipper in Safari Extension Preferences", but I cannot find it.
Am I missing something?

Edit: I received reply from the developer. Thank you. Very much appreciated. However, the suggestion doesn't work. The web clipper just doesn't show up on the Safari Extension Preference (Setting) at all. So, there's no way to activate it. This is on macOS Monterey, version 12.7.6., Obsidian 1.7.7., and Safari 17.6.

On my iPhone, the extension works splendidly!

I love how ObsidianWebClipper lets me easily save webpages into my Obsidian vault! It really works great!

One of the best web clippers out there. I'm so happy to be able to reduce the number of tools I use (eg for bookmarking & capturing snippets/references). This clipper makes it so easy to do research on-the-go! And of course, this this tool has exactly the type of thoughtfulness & quality I've come to expect from the Obsidian team. Another reason I'm a customer for life with this team. 💛

my phone is a couple years old, and every other installed app seems to drag except obsidian.

my other favorite thing about obsidian is that their interfaces are super clean, yet packed with more options for customization than anything else

Has a high degree of customization and works really well. I’m thrilled that there’s an iOS Safari extension for this. This is exactly what I needed. I feel compelled to purchase the catalyst license because of this kind of quality - thanks Obsidian team.

I do wish it would autofill possible vaults for clipping to though.

Very well done utility that nicely solves a problem with capturing web information for my Obsidian vault in a consistent and workable format.

I'm slowly replacing a lot of old tools with Obsidian and plugins and the web clipper is just what I needed! Might even be able to convince my wife to switch from Evernote.

It takes being a hunter-gatherer on the web to the next level.

I'm still playing around with this, got some tweaking to do, and it takes a little getting used to. But so far it's amazing. It's already replaced other web clippers and services. The perfect compliment to Obsidian.

I’ve been using it on both Mac and iOS and it’s really changed and improved my workflow. It seems to do exactly what I need, which is kind of a miracle to me.

I mostly use the highlighter, but have clipped at least one full webpage.

This extension is the perfect complement to Obsidian. It has me rethinking my save-it-later workflow and it's only been out for a week!
