This app is trash, even compared to the previous one

Awful. Even slower than the old app. I’m not receiving notifications and when I tried to used the in app chat bot for help accessing the settings, the stupid AI couldn’t even tell me accurately where to find a settings tab, giving me a different answer/set of instructions. I still can’t figure out how to enable notifications. And OneTapAway is not intuitive to navigate and understand. It no longer groups washers by rooms and instead gives you a list for the whole building (a problem if you live in a place with multiple laundry rooms). And the estimated time for the wash cycle is inaccurate, and then only notified me IN APP (with a little blip in the corner) that the load was done, no push notification. And the fact that I have to enable Bluetooth just to START A DRYER and I can’t even get a notification is said dryer is finished. And the cherry on top is that the prices have gone up 75¢ per wash AND per dry (that’s $1.50 a load for those keeping track). And not to mention OneTapAway has a whole page for sponsored deals THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH LAUNDRY. And you can’t even escape it in real life, the new posters for OneTapAway in the laundry area are covered in sponsored ads for laundry detergent and dryer sheets. I just want to know when my laundry is done. If there are any five star reviews on OneTapAway, believe me, they are fake/bought.

Horrible app

Took me multiple tries to actually wash my first 2 loads. For my 3rd wash I stood at the machine for 20 minutes trying to get it to start. If I am having trouble with the QR (the machines aren’t broken) I shouldn’t have to pay for my laundry…horrible app. After today I will no longer be using OneTapAway or washing my clothes at my apartment complex. Had issues with OneTapAway since day one but I dealt with it. But standing there for 20 minutes trying to pay for my clothes to be washed is absolutely ridiculous. I deleted OneTapAway to redownload it to see if that will help. If not I am asking for a refund. HORRIBLE APP

Vanishing Account Balance and Poor Customer Service

My account balance has vanished during both of the most recent updates. I do laundry twice a week and I pay attention to my balance. This morning, I went to open OneTapAway and I had to log in because of f an update. When I logged in, my account balance was $0. I had at least $15 two days ago. This happened the last time OneTapAway updated. Customer service is nonexistent. Like screaming into a black hole.

Still so bad

Devs claimed they made changes so you can actually see which machine is available even when you’re outside of the laundry room…. Yea I don’t think so. It seems like I still need to be in the room to see which machines are available which is annoying because there’s only four machines shared between like 12 apartments. Prices keep going up on these machines and OneTapAway is actively getting worse. 10$ minimum is also annoying. Might start doing my laundry at a laundromat instead.

HORRIBLE

If I could give one star, I would. First off I don’t agree with the constant price changing. Secondly, I don’t agree with not being able to upload the amount that you want. They only give whole dollar options and you’d end up having left over money on the account. What if I don’t want to use that? Lastly, the time never matches up with the actual time on the washers/dryers. For an example, my app would say that it’s done, i’ll get to the laundry room and it’ll be like 15 minutes left. Do better !

Horrible

Because of OneTapAway I will no longer be washing clothes at my apartment complex. I had to make several accounts to make this thing work and it still hasn’t. I had spent an hour trying this and couldn’t get a hold of any one! If OneTapAway isn’t working or services are down why not give a warning that it is? I had already put my detergent and everything else in, what a waste!! It didn’t allow me to add funds the whole thing is glitchy. The original app by CSC was better. Horrible just horrible.

Truly Awful

OneTapAway replaced the card readers and quarter machines in my apartment building (without notice) and is genuinely terrible. High deposit minimum to use it, Bluetooth is barely functional because the laundry is in the basement where there is no service and no WiFi, and inaccurate tracking of machines. I find myself loading the machine, then having to go back to my apartment to use OneTapAway , and then creeping my way back towards the basement where it can pick up the available machines before I lose service. Blatant money grab that’s wildly inconvenient for tenants.

Stole my money more than once.

OneTapAway is trash, the site my apartment building used to use never robbed me, ever since they switched to this one, I get nickeled and dimed for extra dryer time, sometimes the washers or dryers simply never even start, and on more than one occasion, I have loaded my account with money just to never have it even reflected on my balance. When contacted, the people behind OneTapAway have not done anything to make it right. OneTapAway is trash and the fact that I have to go through them just to do my laundry just feels like I’m being robbed. Users beware, OneTapAway is garbage.

Poor experience - I wish the developers tried to do their laundry once with this app

With too many issues to list, OneTapAway is not reliable (wet clothes fresh from washer while I can’t get a dryer to connect), not helpful (example: accuracy of machine availability is less than stellar), has some weird options (like add time to a machine that’s not yours!). I’ve most recently had a new experience — transactions are getting flagged by my bank causing my bank card to be frozen. If you see a laundry room using this system, just go to the next one. I’m surprised OneTapAway was approved.

Stole my money and time

The laundry room at my apartment was formerly CSCGO and was changed to One Tap Away. Upon this transition not only did we lose access to 2 of the 4 machines available, but they took money from me. When the apps were switched I had about $5 in my CSCGO account. When I attempted to transfer it to One Tap Away, they claimed I only had 75 cents available!!! This, coupled with machines not working and not even being reportable to the system since their QR codes don’t work, has been the most frustrating laundry experience of my life. If your landlord is considering the switch I would strongly advise against it.

This app is a downgrade

My building was forced to switch to OneTapAway by CSC with no notice. With the old app, regardless of where I was, I was able to see which washers and dryers were available in my laundry room and how much time was left on any machines that were in use. Now this information is only available when your phone connects via Bluetooth to the machines while you’re standing in the laundry room. This completely defeats the purpose of having this information on OneTapAway when I can just look at the machines with my eyes. This is such a downgrade! This technology has been around for decades but somehow this “new and improved” app doesn’t have this relative basic function. Do better.

Edit: You say you’ve added the ability to see which machines are available, but this is still worse than the previous app. All I can see is the quantity of machines but I can’t see which ones (some machines are better or bigger than others) or how much time is left. There have also been times when I’ve been standing in the laundry room and looked at the machines available count that OneTapAway provides and it’s wrong! I don’t know how or why you take a perfectly functioning app and make it so much worse. OneTapAway is so objectively bad that I will be encouraging my condo board to contract with a new laundry service provider once our contract ends.

TERRIBLE

Our apartment building recently installed OneTapAway and we are able to do laundry sporadically. OneTapAway times out the Bluetooth doesn’t work. It’s very frustrating. I have never had issues doing laundry in my life until we got one tap away, which is a nightmare. Do not use the service. A basic service such as Laundry should not be contingent on the Internet that should be a functioning machine that is not on Bluetooth. Many of the tenants are experiencing this and the management tells each one of us that we are the only ones. You’re unable to reach anyone easily to help you at OneTapAway . It takes 20 minutes and this must be during business hours

Trash app

This is the trash app and doesn’t work at all. It tells you that the washer is already done after you pay for it to start working that also goes for the dryer as well. You really can’t tell if laundry is really done or not even if you are near the laundromat. OneTapAway doesn’t even tell you how much time has gone by after starting the laundry machine. This is one of the worst app for people who live in an apartment complex and can’t even work correctly. The company who created OneTapAway should work on fixing it’s the worst app of all time. The company called CSC should have stayed with the laundromat app that was working just find unlike this which isn’t the worst and the biggest trash laundromat app ever.

Horrible - avoid if possible

If you’re unlucky enough to have this be your building’s preferred app for laundry a my thoughts are with you. OneTapAway is extremely cumbersome and slow to respond to my inputs. It doesn’t start when I click pay - I have to do this twice EVERY TIME I WANT TO RUN A LOAD. Yes. Every time you run a load you must attempt to start it, quit out of your attempt, then refresh the page to make it work. You will also get multiple notification of “deals made available to you”, which are poorly veiled attempts to get you to sign up for another service, Nift.

This is genuinely one of the worst apps available for download. There is so much clutter for an app that exists to take your money and start a machine. Run for the hills if you see their poster in your complex. Consider doing laundry elsewhere.

I can't believe this is the best they can do.

OneTapAway is irrationally bad. The amount of times I've had to ask for refunds because OneTapAway glitches is insane. OneTapAway also regularly crashes and logs you out which is extremely frustrating. It is clear they spent more time on the UI looking nice and less time on the UX and reliability of OneTapAway itself. I would rather have an ugly interface that works than a clean interface that doesn't. I miss CSC Go.

Editing to add this: the fact that there is an entire section of OneTapAway dedicated to showing you "deals" from their "partners" is as dystopian and consumerist as it sounds. Most of the people using OneTapAway dare not high income and are likely university students or people living in apartments. We are already forced into paying to do everyone's least favorite chore. Please, get real.

Worse

Wish they would have kept the old apps for CSC. This one doesn’t let you see if machines are available until you are right in the room. So stupid. The old one used to let you see if machines were available so you knew if you had a chance of getting a machine or if it was a good time to do laundry. Always an issue to try to add more time to a dryer and the minimum you can put on your account is $10 which is hard for those of us who live paycheck to paycheck. Maybe we only need another load to dry. Also the time is always off on OneTapAway . Everyone I know has had issues with OneTapAway. Please improve it or go back to the old one. Oh and don’t tell me to use the machine to use the debit card if I want to use less money as you rip people off by charging 25 cents “convenience fee” each time you run a card. Also 25 cents for FIVE MINUTES to extend drying time is crazy.

Terrible App, whoever designed this app should be ashamed of themselves and rethink their life

App does not function. Whenever I open OneTapAway I am spammed with Server Errors. I have to beg for others to pay for me as OneTapAway refuses to let me give it money. The developer of OneTapAway really needs to rethink what has lead them to this point in their life. I would be so ashamed of myself I would become a hermit in the mountains of Afghanistan. I truly hope this developer does not have children, and if they do I am praying for them.

Updated: Downgrade from CSC Go

Update: improvements were made to address the concerns previously made which I appreciate. However, now you have to add 5 minutes at a time instead of being able to add 5, 10, 15 minutes at a time which is frustrating especially because OneTapAway takes a minute to show the add time feature after every 5 minutes added.

Original:
My building switched to OneTapAway from CSC go and it is such a downgrade. You can no longer see what machines are available until you are in the laundry room. Additionally, it’s no longer possible to add extra time to your dryer.

Easy as 123

The system is the easiest system. I’ve used anywhere when having to use a laundromat to wash clothes when first downloading OneTapAway I thought it was gonna be extremely confusing but as long as you have a card attached to your account and a camera on your phone, it literally takes seconds to start your laundry and pay for it

So far so good

Figured I should stick with my own beliefs to give something or someone a shot sometimes regardless of what others are saying and so far I’m glad I did. So far haven’t experienced any issues other reviews have mentioned with OneTapAway in my two times of use and so far it was actually pretty convenient and saved me a trip to get quarters. I’m definitely against going all digital with currency, but think it could be useful as an addition, but not a replacement. Hopefully the other one star reviews issues were fixed so they will have a positive experience with OneTapAway from there on out.
