Family share does not work as advertised. Do not buy if you have multiple kids

Zero stars for customer service and IT support. LearnSpanish is popular with our three kids and that’s the start of the problem. We have three iPads but family share does not work. We contacted Alex at Study cat but they refused to help us. We have LearnSpanish working on one device and just need them to fix family share which they advertise buy do not deliver. They are unhelpful, dismissive, rude and condescending. They insisted that we provide a receipt. We cannot locate the receipt because it’s an online purchase. We offered to show them a screen shot if LearnSpanish working on the one tablet or other screenshots proving purchase. If we didn’t purchase the program then why is it working on this device. The money to purchase LearnSpanish again is not the issue. I bought all three kids Rosetta Stone instead at a much higher price. It’s the principle of the matter that Study Cat will spend more time and money fighting against providing help that just helping us. Why make such an enjoyable app and then couple it to poor IT support and the worst customer support imaginable. Their answers make we wonder why they even answer since they are just a brick wall. Don’t buy this product or any other product from these people. They don’t understand the first thing about customer service.

DO NOT PAY NOW

We paid for the subscription and my 5 year old loved LearnSpanish. Then they updated things and now we can’t even get into LearnSpanish even though we paid for the year? I continue to go back and forth with their supposed support. I continue to get responses that it works now. Several weeks later, many emails back and forth and it still doesn’t. This isn’t just someone unable to use technology, my husband who is a software engineer for a living cannot get it to work. Used to be, completely unusable now.

Horrible. very very horrible. 😡

LearnSpanish is Bad for teaching kids. LearnSpanish gets 0 stars. You all might think this is funny, and I’m joking, NO. 😤 My friends use LearnSpanish, and when they try to learn, all they hear is CASINTO, or BEAPTHA. They are not even CLOSE to Spanish and they have been learning for 2 years. This is not exeptible. Instead of LearnSpanish, there is this game that’s called, DuoLingo. You can learn ANY language, and also, you get to MAKE your profile picture! DuoLingo is a way better app, and will really help kids learn Spanish!!! So, NEVER get this game or, advisor, GIVE IT SOME MORE HEARABLE WORDS THAT COME OUT OF A DUMB CAT?! So, everyone, get DuoLingo NOW! It’s way better than this game. So, have fun with fun DuoLingo!

Only One Level?

My youngest child loves LearnSpanish except it seems there is only one level for all kids up to age ten? If this is not the case, I am not sure how to increase the difficulty level. Please help. Now that my youngest child has mastered all games for the eight-year-old level, I adjusted the age to ten for my older child and hit save, and all of the games are exactly the same. She has been waiting patiently for a more difficult set of games and for her little sister to master the lower levels It’s taken over an hour and several Google searches, and still I don’t know if it is even possible? My older daughter was excited to be able to start at her own more difficult level this weekend. I would not have bought LearnSpanish if I would have known all the games are the same for all ages.

Can’t share

I have multiple iPads for the kids and they had each of them LearnSpanish . One of the iPads was reset. Once I reinstalled LearnSpanish on the iPads LearnSpanish it became impossible for me to have the full version of LearnSpanish on it. I get a message telling me that I don’t have a subscription. I do pay monthly for it and my kids enjoy the full version. It’s telling me to subscribe and pay. I will not pay twice for something that I have been paying. I will unsubscribe from LearnSpanish.

Kinda clunky

LearnSpanish can help kids learn Spanish. However, I have a couple of criticisms of it. First, the pronunciation used in some words seems like someone from Spain, so if you want Western Hemisphere Spanish pronunciation this isn’t the right app for you. Second, and much more frustrating is that some of the modules are not intuitive or easy to figure out even for an adult. There are some puzzles and drag and drop problems that we could not figure out how to solve and so then we couldn’t do the lessons that followed those because they’re sequential. Anyway, LearnSpanish is ok, but I won’t continue using it after the 1-year subscription ends.

Fun, but poor curriculum

The games are fun to play until you get to about 25 medals. At that point, I got stuck and could not progress as it is testing me on material that wasn’t even introduced. The curriculum is all over the place too and at many different levels. For example, I learn the trace orders for the alphabet after learning full words for foods and animals. That wasn’t really an issue for me though as I already knew the Spanish alphabet going into Studycat. The problem I ran into were a few activities that were much harder than they should have been after getting around 20 medals. I gave up after getting to sea creatures which did not get introduced before I had to match them up with the words. In other words, the difficulty seems random to me rather than naturally progressing as the curriculum is out of order.

I believe LearnSpanish was made for beginners’ vocabulary in Spanish and that it should be used after learning the Spanish alphabet which is similar to the English alphabet. LearnSpanish does okay for that purpose, but it could use some reordering of activities and topics to make the learning/gameplay have a smoother progression.

Love it but needs more content

I bought LearnSpanish for my daughter last year when she was in 1st grade and she loved it. She really enjoys the colors used, easy to navigate and super engaging. However, we’ve run into a few things: 1. We get signed out often so super annoying for her because almost every time she open LearnSpanish , it has logged her out and her progress is gone. So then we have to log back in. 2. She progressed through the levels pretty quickly and there does not seem to be more content…? I’m a bit confused because she’s not fluent in Spanish and within a few months using LearnSpanish just once a week for 20-30 min and she finished all the levels. Will more content be added? 3. LearnSpanish is pretty expensive especially if the content is so limited. I hope I’m wrong and that more is available.

My Kids Love the App but iPhone XR Issues

My kids love LearnSpanish and can play it for long periods of time. It definitely teaches them Spanish. We do have issues playing some games, the notch in the screen and the screen size does not work with all games. Kids are on able to access some of the options on the screen. Please fix and then LearnSpanish will be perfect.

Really great teaching tool. I’m a teacher however…

I think this is terrific. It’s a high-quality way to be able to learn basic fundamentals of Spanish. However, I don’t understand why it has to be so expensive. This is the kind of thing that close doors to families and kids
that want to learn. And it’s really mostly for people who have a lot of money to spend on Phone apps. Considering looking at pricing a little bit.

Get the game it’s really fun to me!

I would like to say that I now really like this game because i can learn Spanish and I like that and I want to thank them for this game and I hope you like this game and never QUIT these can be for kids and grownups ups if you think it’s just for kids and baby’s it’s maybe not maybe it’s also for grownups and kids and maybe under 10 or 6 I don’t know but just NEVER QUIT because that will be so sad for those people who made this game just please never QUIT because I’m gonna feel bad for those people who made these GAMES I really need to learn Spanish because my grandma speaks a little bit of English and she only speaks a lot of Spanish I love y’all but it’s just because of the deleted games and like they just delete that game and nobody can play it because they always deleted it and I don’t want the game to be like that because I love this game to learn Spanish and yeah I’ll never come back if they do that I’ll just nothing to it I can’t leave this I only can leave my love and if you want to be like me then just be nice to who be’s mean to you

Study at

We learning a Spanish lesson today in a class where I learned to be more confident about the world around us in a language I don’t understand or speak in a way I can’t speak to myself because of the way my language has been used in my own way and color, animals, food, body and more and also the world is so beautiful I am very grateful that we have the opportunity of learning a new word of study cat.

Difficulty levels

My 8 y/o son loves LearnSpanish. I am very fluent in Spanish but I cannot get him to be interested in learning from me so I am grateful I found LearnSpanish as he is always looking forward to spending time on LearnSpanish and learning. Real quick though, after he is done with all the sections, does the difficulty change or does it remain the same? I would love for him to learn new words and test his skills as much as possible.

Worth the price tag

I first balked at the cost for the full app for my kids, but when comparing it to the cost of paying for an after school tutor for the same subject, and realizing we had some Christmas money from grandma that would more than cover an annual subscription, it seemed like a worthwhile investment as they are on LearnSpanish everyday (...in order to earn screen time elsewhere. 😄)

The games are well thought out and age appropriate... I think I’ll be learning more Spanish along with them as I watch over their shoulder! I appreciate the effort and utility the developers put into LearnSpanish. It is well worth purchasing if you’re looking for a fun way to supplement language learning and engagement they are doing at school, or out of their own interest.

Love it!!!

I’ll be honest with you this is probably the best app I’ve seen in a while not only does it teach you Spanish but has fun activities to and the drawing style is absolutely cute. Adorable. thank you so much for making this game now I can finally say I have become best friends with my Besty of three years with us having a language barrier I can finally speak her language.

Best Spanish cheat, teaching app ever

I love Studycat. It is so fine. It teaches me all about Spanish so how fun is that but have you guys tried it because it is so fun and there is no only one level but if you scroll farther, it will get you to a big level and I’ll get you really hard, so I want you guys to try Studycat it is five stars 4.4 stars is it that crazy for point four stars at five? yeah that’s crazy so I want you guys to try Studycat. It is amazing. It teaches you the animal the color but in Spanish. It’s just so crazy I love it. It gets hard like really hard if you scroll farther and I tried riding the alphabet in Spanish. It was so fun and hard. I really needed someone to help but it was so fun. I hope you guys love it. I hope you guys enjoy Studycat bye bye-bye.

Learn Spanish - Studycat

My 6 & 4 year old grandchildren have a lot of fun playing Study Cat. The program starts with basic words like colors and animals but as the children progress they are also introduced to simple phrases. Spanish is the only language spoken. The kids are starting to recognize the words they have learned when they hear them from other sources and are starting to use some Spanish at random times! There are several games that they repeat multiple times. They enjoy digging in the sandbox and for some reason are extra excited if they happen to dig up “un sándwich.” The puzzles are fun to solve and stacking rolls of “papel higiénico” in el supermercado provokes lots of laughter. Some of the games require some trial and error to figure out but Studycat is always very patient. It has been good for the kids to learn that making mistakes is okay and even helps us learn.

Highly recommend

I downloaded LearnSpanish to help prepare my son for dual immersion school. He entered the school a year late and he needed to test into the class. The games were great, age appropriate, and my children who used it (ages 4, 7, and 9) didn’t fight me when I asked them to use it. (My son got into the school btw, not exclusively with the use of this program, but it helped).

Not only that, I only intended to use LearnSpanish for a year. I thought I went through and cancelled my subscription properly. When it renewed against my wishes, I reached out to the company itself requesting a refund. They sent a VERY detailed email explaining to me how to do this with my device, and they did it before I went to bed the day I sent the first email. It was incredibly painless and I was impressed with the priority they put into making this happen.

Will definitely recommend this program to anyone who is considering it.

Great App

I dowloaded LearnSpanish for my 11yo middle schooler who is taking for the first time in 6th grade. He enjoys it and even though the age rating is 4-10 it's great for any beginner Spanish student. The games, graphics & audio are extremely entertaining & engaging. He plays in the car with know complaint. I plan to buy the full version as it covers all the Spanish goals in his cirriculum.

It is fun….

It is a fun learning game where you can learn Spanish it is so fun and I think it is a great learning game for children all across the world but I feel like this is prescriptions should be cheaper so that’s my only minor about this but all the other sings about this fun game is so good thank you for downloading it goodbye.
